I did a career on US Navy Nuclear Submarines. The way you walk through and explain “how and why” you use your equipment the way you do is very well done. It takes a very smart mind to explain complex systems in a simple to understand way. You are a great teacher. Some things I would like to better understand. How has being on social media changed how you look at your farm? If you had unlimited money, what type of equipment would you buy and why? What is your favorite aspect of farming? What is your least?
Chet , you and your dad are having to much fun this spring . This is what happens when you get your seeds in the ground and growing early . Good for you guys . You have a real nice family farm !
2010 John Deere! AWESOME right there. That was my baby growing up. Dougs right a 6 row cultivater is a little much for her. We had a 4 row front mount that I put countless hours on every summer back in the late 70s and 80s.
Great tour, i started my truck driving career in a cab over very much like BigRed only i worked for a moving company. 1985 and still at it just not house hold goods anymore.👌👌
Don't forget a tour of the hog barns and the equipment for feeding and raising them. Lots of interested livestock farmers out here. And maybe might make a quick sale of unwanted or unneeded stuff. Please!!!!
Super great video Chet,Nikki & Doug. A lot of old traitors I remember seeing growning up around farms back in the day. I really enjoy the humor that Chet & Doug add to each very informative video. Can't wait to see part 2. Thanks for taking the time to do this equipment tour.
Now we’re talking - an 86 series International. I still have mine with a loader on it to use as a chore tractor and fertilizer spreader (and haying) tractor. They used to be such big animals. Now they are just relegated to small jobs. Be good to see her out pulling a few things about!
Okay, now I know every thing about the tanker trailer...... Not! But Chet sure does! Impressed with your knowledge....nice trip around the place...thanks !
Chet a great informative first part tour of the machinery that is used to run the farm . It gives a little insight on the cost it requires to go farming it certainly wouldn't be cheap . I Definitely prefer Dougo being called Douglas to Dougo gives it more of a snobby sound.. lol . Great work guys and gal thank you
Don’t know why folks are getting a chuckle out of the JD 70. Grandpa had a Model 60, gas engine. The summer I was 12, I managed to break my left leg by being stupid. I was still able to rake about 60 acres of straw on the two farms with my crutches tied to the seat and my left leg and cast riding on the light support. Thankful heaven for the hand clutch. Good times. He also had a Model A and a 520.
Thanks for the tour!! Hard to imagine hogs could put a flat spot on a bowling.ball! 😂 Do you have just that one chicken ? you guys got some great equipment and you take pride in it and it shows! Keep up the great work larsons! ✅
The s series does have the option for LED lights lol and starting the 70 diesel is easy after you do it once and they have the most awesome sounding pony motor on them.
I think i mentioned before but we have a 40ft summers coulter chisel we set up for anhydrous. We pull it with our 600 quad and its everything shes got to pull it. But it does a nice job of chewing up bean stubble in the fall. Id recommend one
you viewers have to remember looking at majority of operations out there, some of these guys are financed right up the ass, and barley staying afloat on most of the equipment. this stuff aint cheap. not saying these guys are any of the above. Ag CPA and farmer
I see y’all got the wider tracks figured out they keep that dirt from gettin n there tween track and tractor 👍👍 we do the sane on our skidsteers too works good
Very interesting Equipment Tour. Thank You. It was especially interesting for me since I don't have to do the annual equipment depreciation computations for the IRS and the bank. :-)
Loved the non-pretentious tour. The dynamic between the trio of you is real fun, don't hesitate to make more vids like this when applicable. Your dad is very good on the cam lol, no worries, tell him. :) Tell something about the soil type etc. Saw you had the wider shovels on the cultivator/digger, so id like to know the reasoning behind that etc. Plus your girlfriends got a real nice voice.
Chet, Dougo and Nikki, thanks for the tour! Very well done with lots of info and humor! Would love to see the 70 running some day. Can't wait for Part II.
I Help out on a Farm since last Fall, an they own 2 mbtrac 1500 which is a tractor build out of the legendary Mercedes unimog, and both of thoose tractors have over 50000 hours, and they still haul silage and slurry, do landrolling and stuff like that... thoose are workhorses...
I just realized something. Farming is a lot life Firefighters. We know the hose and sizes. We know the pump and size and what special equipment and all the chemicals we had. We had a bug steel can of protein foam. Old old blood foam. And we trained a lot into a lot and the grass grows good.lol
Lots of nice equipment, some I haven't seen yet on your channel. You should say how much you have invested. You could charge to have people come over to create a dust storm - no reason to plant anymore!
Chet you need a wireless mic to clip onto your shirt so when you turn to the machinery we still can hear you and doug-o is a crack up at the tractor comment. Lol
Great insight to your growth as a family business agricultural production and its history , ...ask Dougo if he dealt with Bill Kibble as I did from australia in 1989 ? ...cheers
Hey Chet: That was awesome..... Looking forward to Part II. Question; Has the Larson Family ever sold anything or Thrown anything away? Captain Al from Tampa 😎
Dandelion wine is SOOOOOOOOOOOO good, but it takes a lot of heads to make just 1 gallon. I used to pick the heads as a kid and sell them to a local winery.
That compressed air cleaning the concrete was the best for some reason. I clean my concrete the same way but that air flow would never happen in my shop.

How has being on social media changed how you look at your farm?
If you had unlimited money, what type of equipment would you buy and why?
What is your favorite aspect of farming? What is your least?
Your video's are usually a 10/10 but when we get extended Dougo footage it's an 11.
Chet , you and your dad are having to much fun this spring . This is what happens when you get your seeds in the ground and growing early . Good for you guys . You have a real nice family farm !
I like the banter you have with your dad that's the way it should
That 1970's is what sat in our barnyard way back when. Such good memories it brought back, thanks for the smiles.
8:50..."Trying to remember everything I used to remember about it." God, such a Dougo statement. Make a shirt, Chet!!!
Wow, you folks sure have a lot of fun! Nikki, great job in wrangling those two characters into semi-coherence.
What a great show. Your explanations of each piece of equipment and its use is superb. You could easily be a great teacher.
Watching this again seeing Nikki made me cry gone too soon rip
*LOL* That old International cabover just made this video for me!
2010 John Deere! AWESOME right there. That was my baby growing up. Dougs right a 6 row cultivater is a little much for her. We had a 4 row front mount that I put countless hours on every summer back in the late 70s and 80s.
So awesome to see great grandpa's 70 and the 1086 IH. What an amazing testimony to the past.
Great tour, i started my truck driving career in a cab over very much like BigRed only i worked for a moving company. 1985 and still at it just not house hold goods anymore.👌👌

I believe CHETTY and dad gona sell all the Deeres OR TRADE THEM IN JUST GONA KEEP ONE OR TWO and invest in all the 2021 brand new CASEIH...
The simple fact is that the Larson family is the perfect example of the people who made America. The question is: what happened to Minnesota?
democrats!
@@peterhaan9068 that is what made it good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The crap your family give poor Dougo is hilarious. Part 1 was awesome. Thanks Nicole to the editing and camera angles.

Im not a farmer but i grew up farming, I enjoy all your video's...keep doing what you do
Thanks for sharing !! Thanks Dougo for being in the video's
I had a set of 9350 drills at one time. Very easy and simple seed drill! I can't imagine not growing wheat!
Okay, now I know every thing about the tanker trailer...... Not! But Chet sure does! Impressed with your knowledge....nice trip around the place...thanks !

Thank you Dougo for doing the video. You add a lot to the commentary.
I was wondering why the truck had a sleeper on it and just then Nicole asked the question and Chet answered it. Thanks.
I’ve been waiting for this, I am soooo happy!

You guys have my dream machinery from old to New,
First time! GOLD. Love your dad's awkwardness.
long wheel base, big sleeper cabs. maximum inefficiency. can tell duggo played a roll in that call
They are a bad purchase for farming!
But they look cool

That 1086 looks gorgeous. Don't burn the shed down some nice equipment maybe endangered
dougo and the dust storm was quite a finale. will part 2 be up to the challenge?
Chet you need a wireless mic to clip onto your shirt so when you turn to the machinery we still can hear you and doug-o is a crack up at the tractor comment. Lol
Great insight to your growth as a family business agricultural production and its history , ...ask Dougo if he dealt with Bill Kibble as I did from australia in 1989 ? ...cheers

24:20 J&M... Oh - io!! The heart of it all!
And this is why WE DONT HAVE NICE THINGS🤣🤣🤣💪👍 my all time favorite sayings👊❤️
We used the Sycle more mower to casterate calves back in my days. We would line them up, hog tied and clip them testicles right off.
Yes finally !! 😀 thanks
Awesome job on the equipment tour!
How you doin'? LOL Great tour!!! Thanks Chet!
Dandelion wine is SOOOOOOOOOOOO good, but it takes a lot of heads to make just 1 gallon. I used to pick the heads as a kid and sell them to a local winery.
Lots of nice gettet done toys
