    They look very healthy. I have never seen ones with a black stripe like that on the fins. I also can't believe you have a parrot cichlid in that tank. I also had this combination for a while (just 2 barbs though) but the cichlid was way too aggressive and terrified the barbs.I had to get rid of her. I also had a bala too. Very similar to my set up.

    I like them most because they add a lot of movement to the tank. In addition to the regular Tinfoil Barb, there are several aquarium strains that have been developed. These are the regular & albino(Red Eyes) strains. *Lemonfin Barbs are an XLG variety of Barb that make a nice addition to large aquariums as well.*

      I can't tell that this tinfoil with black stripe is ordinary because I don't see much this kind of tinfoil, maybe this is rare and in some places its expensive, but they are no longer with me, I switched to cichlids fish.

      *Everything looks very healthy and happy in this tank?* When I was a kid back in the 1970's I had two of those rascals in a 15 gallon tank. Had them for years in that tank. They got very large and like these were healthy as horses. They could surprisingly move around very well in that small tank. You might be surprised @ what kind of less than ideal environmental conditions fish can live with in the wild. I live in Texas and we went through a terrible drought period. Just about everything dried up. The creeks were barley flowing with very small shallow puddled areas about the size of a large trash can lid, but they somehow manged to hold on to some fish. There were Sunfish, Texas Cichlids, Carp, and even a few Bass living in those puddles for years. Nature is amazing, and often much more resilient than we give it credit for!

    • @cparker168
      @cparker168 4 года назад

      @@65FullMoon83 Still doesn't mean it's healthy for the fish. That tank is WAY overcrowded. I have 7 in a 400 gallon and it's still a bit tight. Nature is uncontrollable... housing a fish in too small of an aquarium is controllable and that's the issue here.
