Give up a few features, and you can get a 1SS Camaro for $36k... If you have to have the comfort features, get the 2SS for $41k. Not sure why KBB tested such strange configurations...

All one has to do is spend about 2k dollars to bring the V6 up to par. Plus the V6 has way more performance potential , more reliability, and is built to last longer.
      list of the basic upgrades:
      intake: CAI K&N $250
engine ECU: SCT X4 tuner with 3 MPT Tune bundle $450 ( eco 87 tune for 32 mpg hwy daily driving, 87 sport tune, & 93 performance tune)

total: $2,230 add $200 more for a mechanic to install the headers and exhaust.

Did I hear that right? Get the Camaro more lean? The Camaro weighs almost 600 lbs less and that's with the Challenger's v6. If we are talking about the ones one's in this review. You are looking at over 600 lbs difference. V8 for v8, it's almost a 500 lbs difference. I would like to make it longer for more interior room. But as it stands it's probably the lightest of the being compared in this review. Granted with all the options that it has. It might weigh more than the mustang.
