I would love to see a still-family-friendly but more in-depth Zorro game inspired by the Disney series starring Guy Williams. That was a great show with lots of character and mood that I think would translate well to a video game.
That would be awesome!
That would be awesome, maybe have an option for black and white mode. I'm a 90s kid, but I loved watching that series on Disney at night before bed growing up!
So it's basically "baby's first Assassin's Creed," just without the open world. That's actually a pretty good idea. Those types of games can be intimidating to more casual players. And it seems like the dev did put more work into it than you'd expect from a cartoon tie-in game.
For sure! It wasn't a total cash grab and some effort was put in. We can appreciate that!
Current Assasins Creed is already made for babies.
@@IDreamofIndie Have you had instances where you stopped being able to move and when you abandoned mission then returned and tried to whip traversal you got stuck hovering above the ground?
@@charmingpeasant9834 I knew someone would point this out. Also I think it's worth noting that just being "not Ubisoft" puts most things a few points ahead of Assassin's Creed.
Baby Arkham
Diego would appreciate if someone can give him back his mustache
😂
I've always got the gist of Zorro but have been getting into the character cause of the Django Zorro comics and now I really want a more grown up Zorro game for modern systems. This looks like a good bit of fun though for sure!
Thanks for watching!
I'm more of a Guy Williams kind of guy, but I will not miss the opportunity to play Zorro.
I think the Arkham style of game (PG action or not) is perfect for this character.
Sure, I could definitely see that! There is certainly some fun to be had with this title. Thanks for checking out the video! 😊
Been excited for this one for a while and now I'm not so sure. Thanks for the reveiw you are literally the only person that's done one.
Very happy to bring you the review and lovely to have you here ☺️
This game actually looks really cute and fun! Probably a good time with the fam. Awesome review!
Thank you ❤️
This looks closer to the assasins creed fans want than the last couple assassins creed titles lmao.
Lol, gosh it's been awhile since I played a game in that series I don't know what it is like now!
Lol probably impatient 😂
@A Spirit From what I've seen of gameplay, there's a range limit on the drop kills and you can hit the button and have the character drop down instead of poucing on them if they're too far away. Could be wrong though, haven't had any hands-on time with it yet, but it seems the range to get the prompt might be longer than the range you can actually do an aerial takedown from?
This was a really helpful review! I'm shopping for games to make a to-buy-list for my public library and this looks like a fun younger-player friendly action vigilante game. it's interesting to already see a lower budget but totally fun take off on the mechanics of Spider-Man from Insomniac, and Zorro (taking some liberties with whip physics) looks like a character that plays the part really well. I think I'm going to put it on our list as a budget option if we don't want to get Miles Morales.
So glad you found it helpful!!
It seems that there are some decent things about this title, but that it's let down more than not by its drawbacks. I think it's got an okay start though and that the devs have got some ground to work with in their next project, or for when some patches come in. But I agree with your thought in that it might be a good way to introduce a younger person to games, and as always, I appreciate the review.
You are very welcome 😁
Fun fact: Zorro was one of the characters that inspired the creation of Batman
That is a fun fact!
I would buy this only to let the holders of the IP know that there is market for Zorro.
All they have to do is grab Batman Arkham, and switch it with Zorro

As a former Californian, I loved Zorro as a kid and still do and I wish we could get an actual Zorro game
Nice!
The game has fairly decent enough graphics and gameplay mechanics to convince me that I'm playing an actual Zorro game.
As a lifelong fan of Zorro, I bothered to buy this game to quench my thirst for Zorro video-games, which we haven't been a lot in the past years, and the ones we got aren't really good.
What a shame, was hoping he'd look like Antonio Banderas. SOOOOO sexy hehehe
lol!
3:30 this is much like in boardgames or other videogames. throwing the stone is simply a typical distraction element.
justifying it lorewise i would say she/he is picking up the stone from the ground somewhere or in other games like hitman or the last of us u can even find the stuff and carry it around to distract people. so i wouldnt assume the character has infinite or lets say 20 stones carrying around. they just take it and throw it simple mechanic.
The game's not terrible but it's far from anything exceptional
Was hoping it would be more like en-guard.
Not exactly sadly
$35 though? eesh! nintendo switch anyway.
It's 35 across all platforms as far as I can tell. Game looks cool but like 10 dollars too expensive in my book
Appreciate you watching nonetheless!
It’s rather expensive for animated game but i bought and been enjoying ever since , the price needs to go down in the future, a shame it doesn’t come on television anymore
$10.49 on sale in the eshop.
Can you invert the controls
Hi
Is this game good for 5 years olds?
Hello! It would depend on the 5 year old, I suppose! If they are familiar with using a controller and not too easily frustrated by game controls in general, it’s not a particularly challenging or graphic game, but I’d say it may be best for a bit older just because of the coordination involved.
@@IDreamofIndie my little nephew loves to play goat simulator and he's good at it
Do u recommend this game for him?
Hmmm well I’d say that is a very different gaming experience so it’s a bit hard to compare. This is not quite as over the top, but if he’s shown interest in Zorro or watched the animated series, perhaps it’s worth a shot
@@IDreamofIndie ok thanks 🙏
Thank you so much for the good review (▰˘◡˘▰)
This make me thing of Aragami.
Nice!
Moreso A2, since there's actual combat in this one. Also similarly simple with the combat that's there.
@@a-blivvy-yus yes
As much as I like Zorro, this game just ain't for me unfortunately...
That's fair!
@@IDreamofIndie Try playing that PS2 Zorro game.
@@Burauniathat one isn't bad but the lack of actual swordfight gameplay is a major deal breaker in my opinion...
This is on ps5. Im browsing all the on sale $20nzd games. Yup, another shitty one haha 😂 #PASS
A step backwards and NOTHING new on the table….
Thank you so much for watching and supporting the channel with an engagement!
This could of been a really fun game if they didn’t half do it just to make money. These Studios shouldn’t make games if don’t put their best in it. We have come along way. Even if its for kids. They should be done to the very best the can.
Thanks for watching!
It looks really ok for children, maybe they are the target audience for this game, and not you?
@@daaa57150 i guess it could be but still it could be better even if for children. Alot of these just get by with what they can to make money. Its not just looks but controls and everything.
When I was a child (which was a *LOOONG* time ago), I got annoyed by games which were actively bad to play (sounds like this isn't that far) or which didn't stick to the theme they were based around (which doesn't sound like this game at all). Being just not a very good game was fine, and repetitive gameplay - as long as it's at least half-decent and feels thematically appropriate - or simple graphics were much less of an issue. From what I can see, this is maybe a questionable PC port of the game, but the game itself sounds like something I'd have enjoyed as a kid. And maybe if they improve it a little on the "works consistently on PC" side of things (plus maybe control remapping and graphics options), that could help too.
