This Archetype is a great topic. From the many censored artworks to being an insane Tier Zero deck in Duel Links to being Alexis/Asuka's deck in Arc-V to changing Ritual Summoning forever, this could easily be argued to be one of the most iconic Archetypes in Yu-Gi-Oh's history.
I remember waiting so impatiently back around 2006 for Cyber Angels to be released. I ended up quitting yugioh TWICE before they were finally released and as soon as I saw them, I grabbed a playset of everything. One of my favorite archetypes.
I really hope any future support gives us a cyber blader retrain and another ritual spell to go along with it that doubles as a fusion spell like magikey mafta, except this would would tribute monsters. We could also do with another name that has a good effect when tributed but for god sake make it less generic than benten. Also gonna take this moment to ramble about how hot ass the support in the duelist pack was because wow all those cards except maybe cyber egg are terrible. Konami seemed under the impression that you get alot of advantage out of tributing but all those cards do is make you cycle through all your copies of benten for some awful battle related effects and a terrible draw spell that basically ends your turn.
That would be amazing. Before Cyber Angels were released, I spent so much time trying to get Cyber Girls to work, but they have little to no synergy. Modern retrains of all the monsters (like Ishizu's Earth Fairies got) would be amazing if they had a definite playstyle in mind.
No, Cyber Blader was never good. Even when we only had Three monster zones, no one played it. It was however, the biggest pain in the ass when the Alexis events happened and you wanted to farm her drops. That daid, Cyber Angels have been on and off the Ban list. Pretty sure they are at full power now and no one uses them because we have Necroz
It's nutty how, unlike the other Alexis cards, the Cyber Angels weren't printed until about a decade after their debut in the anime. I guess Konami R&D was too scared to unleash them into the game at the time. EDIT: TBF they were also printed during the Arc-V era, where Alexis made a re-appearance in the anime.
In the anime, Idaten’s effect allowed you to recycle any spell in GY. She used Pot of Greed twice in one turn. 2000s era would never give the cards tribute effects.
I love drytron (I don't run heralds) so having benten is really nice. How else am I going to search for vanietys ruler to stop annoying albaz spammers?
Harpie Lady, Amazoness, and the Cyber Angels are my picks for the most badass female centric archetypes in the game. And while I'm a mega simp for my Harpie Lady's, Cyber Angels are a damn near CLOSE to being their replacement. Though honestly I kind of wish the Cyber Angels got more main deck monsters, all centered around dances and gymnastics, and have support cards that references dance moves or styles. Like I can just imagine it: *you use the main deck cybers with the supports to assault your opponent in non-direct ways, same goes for affecting their fields with tricky card effects. And the monsters are able to swap out each other easily if a certain requirement is met, that way you can get your preferred monsters to use for the Ritual summons.
So, considering Cyber Blader is a Level 7, how about a "Harmonic Ritual Fusion" type card that requires you to send monsters equal to Level 7 or more to Summon both the Cyber Angel and the Cyber Blader? However it works, it would be a little fitting. (Also a Cyber Blader Fusion and Ritual retrain would be great, especially since Cyber Angels also don't have a Level 7 Ritual...)
Anime Cyber blader was a level 6er since Alexis loved to use Fusion Weapon on it. Id love a level 6 ritual retrain or even just an expansion on new fusion combos for other cyber girl fusions with effects relying on #of enemy monsters. (Cyber tutu+ Etoile cyber, etc)

I know the video is quite old by now, but another GREAT addition for supporting them is Saffira, Queen of Dragons. She can once on field help recycle,draw,or rip from the opponent's hand. Also shes level 6 which is perfect for making her out of benten or Idaten.
Sooner or later we have to talk about the archetype of goblin Squad / Force they deserve to love the other archetypes have and they don't I wish honestly that these guys have a story 😢
In my humble opinion the title of "the archtype that changed ritual summon" is something more apropiated for Drytrons, the Dragstars (who got the reference?) Changed the summon from being the worst to Tier 1 Cyber Angels just made it more viable and consistent is like saying that Deskbot 001 was the one who changed Synchro Summons for ever when if Auroradon don't help him he does nothing basically.
Cyber blader is good in Speed duel as there is a skill that lets you fuse her from the deck as long as one fusion material is on your field and it gains 400 atk, making her on par with other Beatsticks that are easily summonable, like Dark Magician. It is also a good target for Waking the dragon
Summon Benten, Tribute Benten, Add Benten. Being Level 6 means it just gets used for Herald of Perfection and as Beatrice material half the time nowadays unfortunately. Bystials both make its Tribute effect more annoying to use after recent rules revisions and make it easier to make Rank 6s after summoning the thing. And yes, you can just Normal Summon them over it to get a search too(just don't Tribute Summon Magnamhut, that HAS to be Special Summoned to get its delayed search effect).

If you are refering to cyberse-type it is recent compared to the cards However if you refer to the lack of a cyber type then type has a very loose definition we might get it some day
The cyber angels are angel type that's not odd at all. Now angel type being referred to as fairy in TCG languages (except for Portuguese at one point apparently) does lead to oddness.
@goodpeople25 Censorship issues. Its the same reason that the "Undead" type became "Zombie" and "Demon" became "Fiend" they hoped changing it would make it seem more acceptible to American parents so they'd buy it for their kids. Just like how they censor so many different card arts to remove things that they deem to be "Religious" (Crosses, Pentacles, making Ha Des look a little less satan-y), "Suggestive" (any hint of clevage or other skimpy clothing, an overweight human man not wearing a shirt, etc.), Or, an implication of violence (soooo many spell and trap cards, I'm not even kidding).
I think it's important on this truly special day to give thanks to our saviour, Drytron Alpha Thuban. For without them we would never see the wonder of Benten into Benten into Benten into Vanities Ruler, nor the power of resolving Natasha 4 times per turn into a Borrelsword OTK with 23000 LP
Finally a good Quality Archetype Video about these heavenly Hotties. How long have i been craving that. And to answer, my Fav is Dakini, hands down (all 4 of them). Now here is to Hope that your Nova Magic takes hold and Konami makes some more support for Alexis´s Deck of Choice, maybe some Equips to beef up the lower Level Angels, or some Shrine Maidens that start and/or extend?

Same but for Heralds, Drytron is interesting ritual support, but they make summoning heralds way too easy, and that's just a mistake.
They just need to make Cyber Angels/Cyber Girls actually playable. I want nothing more than a powerful Ritual/Fusion Deck for her!

Maybe we'll see a retrain of cyber blader to better fit with the ritual theme.
