Nice packs man! I've been wanting to get a komoto for a while now. I love mystery ranch packs! Been using them for years now. My first was called the Bighorn. It was also tri-zip design but came with a stick also as per its design. Urban grey in color. Futura harness is the best! Comfortable and easy to use. I currently own the mystery ranch Bridger pack. Philippine made version but quality built. Urban grey/foliage green in color. Its similar to the military version SATL bridger but less molle webbing and is not body armor compatible. 60 liters though so i can fit a ton of gear into it. My favorite pack at the moment is the Camelbak Tri-zip in multicam camo. It was a collaberation with mystery ranch and camelbak. 37 liters total so its just a bit smaller than the komoto. Its actually more similar to the dragon slayer. It features the tri-zip design and has the futura harness aswell. It has some other nice features too like insulated and admin pockets and has the Mil-spec antidote hydration bladder. Its currently discontinued but you can find them occationally forsale on ebay. It fits me better than any pack i've owned. Camelbak just brought back the futura harness too with there newest version of the BFM pack 2019. That may be my next purchase lol. Hi MrBrovic, Thank you for your comment. The Komodo dragon is really an underrated pack, that has a bit more room than the 3 day assault. If you have the funds, get both...each one for a different type of mission.
Hello, I'm looking for a BOB(Bug out bag) Out of all three which one would you go for, 2DAP, 3DAP, or the komodo dragon? I know everyone is different when it comes to BOB, as in carry less or carry more. Not sure if you ever owned a 2DAP. Which one would you go for?
Hi Maveric, Thank you for your comment. Of the 3, I would pick the 3 dap military version. The build quality is what you would expect from Mystery Ranch, tough, heavy, durable, ample padding and just the right size. Has built-in bottom compression straps so a bedroll or a ground sheet can be attached on the fly without any fuss for additional straps. Purely for a non winter, solo BOB. For all season, or with the family in mind, the komodo dragon gets my pick because of the extra space. I have not used the 2dap but I have had "hands on" with it. Overall, I would prefer the construction of the military series.
