    I got the movie and watched it just before I watched this. What a Great 90's action film this is. Didn't notice it was so brutal. I watched this when I was 10, I guess my parents didn't really care lol

      My mother used to drop us off at the theater for all the 80s & 90s action movies. One time the clerk wouldn't let her,arguing that it was R-rated and we were too young to be in there without a parent. She was shocked, that had never happened before. So she bought a ticket, escorted us in, and then left like usual.

      Yep. The director, Paul Verhoeven, made one of the all-time greatest sci-fi trilogies of all time. Robocop, Total Recall and Starship Troopers.
      Another director made a trilogy of movies that are also way up there in the category of Best Movies Ever Made: John McTiernan's Die Hard, Predator and, believe it or not, Last Action Hero, which does a fantastic job deconstructing all the 80's action films he helped create. Sure, he also did Die Hard with a Vengeance, which was pretty good, and he also did The Hunt for Red October, but I don't include those movies for several reasons.

    Space Ice you never put out a disappointing review. This is my favorite Arnold film and I think the craziest and funniest part was when Arnold was on the escalator and uses an innocent bystanders body as cover and then throws his bullet riddled body at Richter. You should start reviewing Chow Yun Fat movies, I would highly recommend Hard Boiled, The Killer, or a Better Tomorrow. Keep up the great work.

    I still think one of the most interesting facts about this movie is the initial planned sequel with Schwarzenegger returning as Quaid ended up becoming the first script for the 2002 Tom Cruise movie Minority Report.

    I love how Robert Picardo, aka the EMH from Voyager, plays the Jonny cab. Also this movie has Marc Alaimo, aka Gul Dukat from DS9. Amazing cast, amazing director, and all the squibs. BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!!!!!

      It was translated not only the most lames way, but also into a phrase no one has ever used before or after.
      Direct translation back to English was "smell bad":

    I don't know why great content creators have limited content on RUclips. I made the mistake of binge watching all of Space Ice's videos after I first found him late last year and now I have to wait for notifications of his new releases and the waiting sucks.

    I will always remember watching that movie when it came out in 1990. Everybody in town went to see it. It was absolute mayhem. They sold more tickets than they should, and there were people everywhere in the theatre. I had to seat on the floor. People were screaming and cheering during the entire movie. I was 12 and, at that point, it was the most brutal and exciting thing I had seen in a movie theatre. Good days.

      I'm a little younger than you. I was 9 when Total Recall came out and the first brutal and exciting movie that I saw in Theatres came out 2 years later... Terminator 2. My absolute all time favorite action/sci-fi whatever movie. It was at a Drive in on a massive screen. Epic. Especially the scene where he's using that Mini-gun, it was like he was firing on us.
      As far as I'm concerned the franchise ended with Terminator 2.
