Think of it in terms of volume, larger turbo doesn't need high PSI to make power. Smaller turbos generally run 30 40 psi to make high numbers. Most of the time, if a V8 is running a turbo set up with 3 or 4 psi it will be twin turbo. The Viper is notorious for low boost with extremely high power output. Doesnt mean you can't run 20 or 30 on a t88. You will suffer some serious turbo lag, not to mention your motor better be built very well.
@Cale Phillips you're an idiot, if you have any question what this model will do with this HP, i'd reference the speeds posted at LOTO. at 1000hp, this is easily a 140 MPH boat in a mile, probably 150+ with enough real estate and the right props. a properly set up 28 with 300XSs will do 120. but in the interest of learning, where are you getting your info?
To make rooster tail like that, are the drives lifted up at the same angle the water is shooting out? How come big racing boats can make rooster tails with outdrives and smaller ones can't?
Looks slow... Trim those drives right so it doesn't porpoise and hop, then it might actually look fast. My Cat with twin 300XS would walk away from that.

Hey it's your money, I say as long as you're having fun who cares... I have a 75MPH boat but my wife an I usually cruise at 35-40...and were happy.

the lower the boost you run on any forced induction the longer the engine life will be, but at the expense of less power.
200 hours. We cranked it to 20lbs of boost once at LOTO
