Match of the century! Great video, and I agreed the CitizenCycle bike is still the drag race champion. The KT controllers push a lot of phase amps and are good for the launches. When I had that same controller, the front wheel kept coming off the ground just starting normally, and it made riding mountain bike trails difficult. Your next steps are 1. Upgrade the controllers to ones that support field weakening for top speed overdrive (like the Fardriver), or 2. Upgrade the controllers and the rear motor. The problem with many Bafang gear reduction hub motors is weak magnet glue, and field weakening produces extra heat that makes the glue fail. Solution to this is stripping the magnets out completely, cleaning, and regluing them with high temperature structural adhesive. Your upper limits with geared hub motors right now is probably the Bafang G062 that can peak at 2,000 to 2,400 watts stock (without field weakening), 3,200 watts modified, or 4,100 watts modified with a vented motor casing. Mine is at 3,200 watts and will do 42 on flat ground with a 200lb rider. The Citizen bike with larger wheels will likely do about 46mph. If you need more speed, you need to go direct drive, and the sky is pretty much the limit. I was the engineering advisor for a channel (RunPlayBack) that upgraded an Ego mini bike, and he went with a 10,000 watt Sotion direct drive motor. The power and throttle response is perfect, and 60mph is no problem. Of course, THAT is not an e-bike, and it is registered with plates and insurance.
@Altema22 I'm still running the G60 Motors. If i upgraded to the G062 Motors I'd probably see an increase in performance. Right now my current rear motor sounds like crap, probably over worked. I think new motors and 45a controllers would be killer.

Your dad hit the nail on the head and it's why I love my set up that's like the citizen bike. If one motor or battery fails I have a totally separate system to get me home! I have the same Rad bike with the upgraded controller on the back then the added motor on the front (1500w) with a 52v battery. The rear provides torque and the front provides top end. Together they make one hell of a riding experience and I love it! I've never come close to depleting the battery's, I've done 30 mile rides and only lost one bar of both battery's. I have no idea what the range is but I know it is VERY far.
@@stevenpierce6927 Yeah the acceleration is something else. Ironically I rarely accelerate at top speed or ride at top speed. I upgraded to simply help get me up hills as I'm a big guy and the single rear motor just wasn't cutting it.
