    My grandad was fighting in the trenches in Belgium in 1914. He survived being gassed in the trenches and was discharged from the army. I've got his medals. He received the silver rose for advancing under enemy fire.

      Awesome. My grandpa, Peter Partridge, died in WW II. They were able to retrieve the body and bring it back to Canada. Today, he has a military tomb stone with his titles.
      ● Today, there are no survivors from WWI and as each year passes (2023), the amount of veterans from WW2 are becoming less and less (just as their are no survivors of Titanic).

    Queen Victoria hated Alexander III & thought he was crude and undignified. This despite the fact a lot of royalty back in the day did not look so overjoyed to be betrothed to a British heir who potentially carried the dreaded blood disorder. People knew but didn't talk about this Victorian curse (of inbreeding). Nicholas and Alix were 4th cousins (and thus related to one another).

      Nicholas and Alexandra were 2nd cousins. They shared a set of great grandparents. Alix's grandfather and Nicholas's grandmother were siblings. However, they were more likely half-siblings as the great granny had Nicholas's grandmother while living with her lover and seperated from her husband. The grand duke however recognised his wifes illegitimate children as his own. So they were likely half-2nd cousins. They probs were also 4th cousins too though, cause they are cousins in multiple different ways.

      He died and was succeeded by his son, Ernest Louis (1868-1937), who married his first cousin, Victoria Melita, two years later, and both had two children: Elisabeth (1895-1903) and a stillborn son (1900), before divorcing in late 1901, almost 11 months after the death of his maternal grandmother, Queen Victoria.
      Ernest Louis then married Eleonore of Solms-Hohensolms-Lich (1871-1937) and had two sons: Georg Donatus (1906-1937) and Louis (1908-1968). Georg Donatus married Princess Cecilie of Greece and Denmark, sister of the Duke of Edinburgh and they have three children, Ludwig, Alexander, and Joanna.
      On November 16, 1937, Cecilie, along with her husband and sons, are all killed in a plane crash. The following day, Louis married Margaret, who becomes the Princess of Hesse and by Rhine.

    As a husband and father Nicholas was an A but as a ruler he was an F. He never wanted to be Tsar. He didn’t want to rule . He wanted to be a simple family man . Unfortunately for him he thought as Tsar he had the right to do as he wished. His advisors no doubt helped keep his head in the sand about what was going on in his country and by the time he realized the truth it was far too late . He also let his wife have far too much influence in the Rasputin situation and he should have shut that down long before it ended in murder . His entire family paid the price for his indifference and naivety. They were all seen as possible figure heads should there be a movement to put the Romanov’s back in power and so they were all killed

Surprisingly, all lasted much longer than the supposed one thousand year Reich. Holstein-Gottorp-Romanov is now but a distant footnote in the annals of history.

    How his uncle /cousin(the king of England) refused to allow him to live and stay in England during the Communist uprising still remains a mystery and question to be answered. Is it a kind of family feud or has it something to do with politics of protecting the territorial integrity.
    Both leaders look a like which means that they have blood relationship.
    Deep down the facts some of the mysteries can be solved. I love that.

    • @az12987
      @az12987 9 месяцев назад

      It’s not a mystery of why the British monarchy refused the Romanovs entry into GB. It was a time of great social and political strife all throughout Europe; and King George was afraid his own monarchy would fall if the hated Romanovs ended up as refugees in Britain. Many of the great royal houses and empires had already been swept away post WWI by war and revolutions. Plus, Nicholas II most likely would never had left Russia unless Alexandra pushed him to. Nicholas never thought he and his family would have been executed by Bolshevik thugs.

      @@az12987 Thanks for your reply. But as we say in English that blood is thicker than water, King George should have allowed Tsar Nicholas II and his family to stay in Great Britain during those years of political and social strife in Europe since they have blood relationship . Remember that Queen Elizabeth II did grant some European Royals stay in Great Britain and British colonies during the second world War. The thanks for what she did is still going on. I love that.

      @jackyanderson9330 9 месяцев назад

      @@az12987 Yes I am sure that King George must have regretted not helping Tsar Nicholas II and his family to stay in Great Britain. As you know Europe was and still traditionally the continent of Royals and King George never expected that the communist boys will depose the Great emperor of Russia Tsar Nicholas II.
      .That wind of change that came from Russia later swept across the European continent and the entire world which led to the second world War.

    Anna Anderson was indeed Anastasia. The proof of this was the fact that their ears, right one and left one, looked the same. Ears are something like fingerprints. Everybody has unique fingerprints, and everybody has a unique form of the ears, although the left ear has a different form than the right ear. With the help of original photos you can compare the left ear of Anna with the left ear of Anastasia and you will see the same form. You can also compare the right ear of Anna with the right ear of Anastasia. They also have the same form. This is the proof that Anna Anderson was indeed Anastasia. Everybody can check this evidence who has photos of Anastasia and Anna Anderson. Maybe you can find them on internet. I did that comparison a long time ago, after Anna appeared in Berlin. It was a huge issue at the time. Anna was all over the newspapers, but nobody came up with the idea of comparing their ears. It is astounding to recover the truth yourself by simply comparing the photographs of Anna and Anastasia.
