Excuse me, but you show, how to do not do. It's not necessasary to drill...you can remove whole frame, it's bolted by 4 Torx bolt on the door.
German engineering is such a joke! I lost an hour just to reach the glass. In my Italian car is so simple just three bolts and a dozen plastic clips.
