Curt Overdoes It in Croatia and Van Life Couple "Goes Down" in Slovenia

- I remember screaming, "I can't breathe!" We clearly aren't as young as we used to be. But that doesn't keep us from visiting two countries in this video as we enter back into the Schengen, which means we have 90 days in before we have to be out of the Schengen again and in the UK to reset our time here. We get one last visit in Croatia with Tim, and let's just say "boys will be boys" no matter how old you get. And then we go onto Slovenia where we go down into one of the biggest caves systems in Europe, Postojna Caves. Turns out this is a much bigger adventure than Snow expected and pushes the limits.

Is your shower still broken? I started following you a couple years ago and was very interested in the recirculating shower system, you had one of the very first systems I’d ever seen. I know your channel isn’t about van building, but I love your van and your innovative solutions. I’d be curious to hear an update on what you love and what you hate after so many years as full-time on the road. Stalagmites might reach the ceiling & stalactites come down, thats how i was told to remember which one was which. Beautiful cave systems.

I moved from Orlando to Colorado a few years ago. After 3 months I was on continuous Oxygen, and the ER told me to get back to sea level. I'm in Baja San Felipe 3 years now. Best move ever!!

I've raced my mountain bike in that cave system, back in 2014, but they still do it - the "black hole enduro" no train, you ride down the lines and then race in the caves on a downhill course through the system. As well as racing on the outside too - the mountain above the cave.
That is NOT in Postojna cave but in Peca mine shafts. A completely different part of the country.

Check out the beekeeping culture in 🇸🇮Slovenia. You can do special tours which are fascinating … apitheray can be very helpful for a variety of health issues. Probably better than a lot of so-called “medicine”. I’m excited to see this country. I’ve heard good things… Enjoy. 😊

“Slovenia temporarily reintroduced border control at the internal Schengen borders with Croatia and Hungary on 21 October 2023 due to the increased threat of terrorism, in order to ensure a high level of security for all residents of Slovenia. The measure is in place until 22 June 2024.
As the situation has not improved and the security crisis in the Middle East is only getting worse, Slovenia has decided to extend control at its borders with Croatia and Hungary for a period of six months.” - that is until Dec 2024
So, are they gonna keep extending it forever? Because the security situation in the Middle East will not improve in a foreseeable future.

The border crossing ... was the unhappy fellow in a black Mercedes by any chance? A black Mercedes sedan is a red flag at border crossings in Europe.
There is a huge problem with migrants coming in from the east through Croatia into Austria and then Germany. So they're nabbing certain drivers for closer inspection.
