I don’t think they are slept on, people love the look, sound, Power and handling, however their reliability sucks. I’ve seen way too many motors pop that were sub 10k mileage motors. My only complaint.
Just got a rsv4r. The v4r motor is unbelievable with a full exhaust. It feels & sounds like your riding a small block v8. It is the first bike ive had that literally will throw you off
If you got the money, I wouldn't doubt lol. I liked the H2 a lot too, but this V4 sound can't be beat. Also a "hypersport" bike like H2 isn't ideal, like it's heavier and those crazy speeds u can't rly use it on normal roads. I think the Tuono would have my preference, mainly cuz of the different handlebar.
You have it in the 6th level of automatic traction control (ATC) and your automatic wheelie control is also on (AWC)....modes showing across the bottom of the gauge screen is probably why it isn't aggressive as you'd expect. There are tons of custom options in the sub menus for fuel and throttle mapping, traction control, wheelie control, ABS, it can even be programmed to automatically use the rear brake to combat wheel spin. I THINK you can also customize the gauge screen to show a fuel gauge and other different info.......you just have to be stopped and have the bike in neutral to set everything up .... It's a safety feature so you're not messing with it while you're riding. Yammie Noob has a Tuono V4 with an Austin Racing exhaust on it and it sounds ABSOLUTELY GLORIOUS!!!! If you want a super naked go for it or a KTM Super Duke!!!!
Not that it's that big deal or anything but just so you know it's, Aprilia Wheelie Control Aprilia Traction Control, not automatic anything. If you we're to be talking to an Aprilia service person or Aprilia Rep they wouldn't know what you we're saying. And as far as HP goes I think I've heard a few people on RUclips say the non-factory edition like he's riding here only has 189.9 horse power and the factory edition has 217. But even that amount wouldn't be noticeable I wouldn't think, like you I'm thinking his settings aren't the best. Severely limited for sure!
My 14 pulls in the first 3 gears like crazy. Road mode definitely makes the release of the throttle easier on you. Easily snatched up after WC is turned off
Actually bud you are def wrong lol i owned a s1k and sold it to get a rsv4 and now the rs is my track bike lol the rsv4 makes more power yes.....but literally within 5hp
This is the only bike that power wheelies a bit third gear stock and I'm a bit a of chonker. And that's with a smooth roll on, no body swinging or suspension bouncing. Neither the V4S nor the S1K nor the R1M does that stock.
If you want to try a Tuono 1100RR, it has the same feel but in the Hyper Nekid class. Hit me up and come on over to College Station or when I bring it to AF1 for the next service. I have all the mods on mine. The Tuono isn't as fast as the RSV4 but that torque is amazing.
@@bekeneel Yep, for a super sport. I think Its probably slept on because of its SUPER PRICE 😂. For long term comfort I definitely agree the Super Naked is probably a lot better.
You can find older ones for crazy cheap. I got my 2018 as a year-old leftover in 2019 and paid $15,400 OTD! Plus it’s got all the features like the TFT gauges, cruise control, pit limiter, steel braided brake lines, Brembo master cylinder and M50’s. The Factory was $10k more and just added the 1100cc engine but my bike is way faster than I could ever need to begin with. Just went over 9700 miles today (it had 7 miles when I bought it) and have had precisely zero issues so far. Not looking forward to the 12k mile valve check service though.

These things are such badass bikes I had the opportunity to ride one recently--- just wish they were mechanically bulletproof like a BMW or Japanese bike. Everyone I know has issues with them, the guys who really love them know how to work on them to reduce costs for little things here and there.
Looks like you're on the 130, love that highway. 85 MPH speed limits! Without the bike being tuned/ECU flashed the powerband is no where near as good. In order to meet the EURO 5 requirements it's toned down a ton. Tone down the ATC and AWC settings and tune the bike and your mind will be blown. I just got my SC Project CR-T exhaust in yesterday, just need to be the Race ECU and throw them on my 2021 RSV4.
