- Hey guys!!!
This was a super fun process using 4 different textures, some collage and mixing some abstract techniques with some realism.
In this video, I walk you through the entire process from start to finish.
The texture pastes I used are:
Coarse pumice gel
Fiber Paste
Crackle Paste
Modeling Paste
I hope you enjoyed the video! Thank you for supporting my channel!
Any questions, please feel free to leave them in the comments!
Happy Painting Хобби

"Things have to get messy before it all starts to come together." 5:53 Words of wisdom, especially for an artist. BTW, love the old timey music. And all that texture ♥
Thank you Diane! So much truth in that... Every painting has the messy/ugly stage. I'm glad you like the music. I like it, but I get mixed reviews on my musical taste.😁❤
@@lydiabroderick867 I have a wide range of musical likes and Old Timey is towards the top of the list 😄

Absolutely worth a subscribe!
I'm not at all interested in journaling or the arts/crafts type work. I certainly do appreciate artists that do work that is archival & gallery wall worthy.
LOVE IT! You made this canvas your 🐝‘ich!!! Lol! Phenomenal!
One day I’m trying this - after I buy all that stuff and maybe practice drawing faces… but I’m doing his!!! Thanks Lydia!

Thank you Tracy!!!😊💖
Love your work! I was wondering where I might be able to purchase the handwriting stencil you use? Thanks so much! Keep up the great work!
Incredible talent.
Thank you!!!
You are fantastic madame
Hi, I love your art, it's stunning 😍👌🤩🧡
Thank you!!!❤❤❤
Wow… so many layers, like an onion, or an ogre… I did love Shrek. I found the process fascinating… It ends up looking like aged wood or stone. The statue is more appropriate than a person. Love the music as well, it made me think of a speakeasy in the movies of the 30s. Keep up the great work!
Thanks mom! That fiber paste really gives that aged look. I'm so glad you like it!❤❤❤
Lydia,
You have helped me out before my question about mixed media in your latter posts what I put to you ❤️ Thank you so much for helping me and lots of other people ❤️ I respect you for showing people who want to learn without you charging them that to me shows a good heart ❤️ and you help people your unconventional. Your Artwork is very unique and very creative absolutely stunning your beautiful imagination 🎨 people like you should be recognised as giving teaching and learning without nothing in return just to appreciate what you do THANK YOU ❤️🎨😘
Thank you Amanda. That means so much to me. Your comment was lovely to read. I am so happy to share the techniques that I use and always hope it helps someone.❤❤❤
@@lydiabroderick867 Your welcome 😁
I’ve decided you are definitely a reincarnation of one of the renaissance artists Lydia. MichelAngelo I think. 😊
That fire, wow you nailed it. Can’t wait for your next piece clever lady. 🙏🏻👌
Thank you!!! I love Michelangelo! Huge fan! I just finished painting the next piece... I'm super excited about it! I have around 5 hours of editing ahead of me.😬 I will post it on Saturday... Hopefully.😊
Your work is mesmerizing. Just love watching you layer paint and mediums and paper. You have mad drawing skills too! So excited to see that. Feel lucky to have found your channel. Thank you so much for sharing!
As someone who has never worked with oils before but may have to as part of a course in the near future, may I ask which oils you have found to be transparent? I’ve only found semi transparent payees gray for example. If opacity doesn’t matter because you can make them translucent with mediums, that would be a lifesaver.
Thanks again for sharing your journey! Soooo fun to watch!
Thank you Lisa!!!❤❤❤
One of the best artist amezing
Thank you!!!
Magnificent Dahlink!! Thanks for sharing & your inspiration. I have been sick & bedridden for years, so I started doing easy stuff to at least do some creating. Didn't finish a lot of stuff cuz i would lose interest. Trying to battle the depression that my illnesses brought on.... now i know, I need to do magnificent again, even if i need to start small... Thank you! I have so much catching up to do on your vids too!🥰
Thank you for you posting this, very informative and inspiring
Awesome!! Thank you!
Awesome!! Thank you!
WOW, THAT'S INCREDIBLY AWSOME!!! What kind/brand of transparent ink/paint is that? I'm new to all of this & I subscribed to your channel. Thanks for sharing & inspiring us, you TOTALLY ROCK!!! Keep Creating, Rock On & God Bless!!!
First time I've seen your work. I am totally loving this painting!!!
Thank you Janina!!!
@@lydiabroderick867 That is weird... this comment was meant to go on the crow painting! I just finished watching this and was about to comment, only to see my previous comment here. Hmmm. LOL. Anyway, you are my new favourite art channel! This painting tells such a story... I am seeing the crackle finish around the heart denoting a "broken heart" and she "turned to stone" after her heart was broken.. and then there's the "fire." Did she burn the love letters he sent her? LOL. Oh my goodness, I have a subject that I wanted to paint and this has given me some thoughts on what to do. I cannot WAIT to try some of these effects and see what I can do with my idea. I could just sit and watch your videos all night!
@@janinafisher101 I absolutely LOVE your interpretation of this piece! It's perfect... People have reported comments going in the wrong place before... I don't know why that happens.🤔 Anyway, I'm so glad you enjoy the channel!!! And I'm glad you're here! It means so much! Thank You❤❤❤
@Lydia Broderick Art I'm not sure I have ever had a story come to me like that when I've looked at a painting, so it's interesting that yours prompted this! Art is so subjective, so no doubt people create stories tgat relate to THEIR lives and experiences! I look forward to watching and learning from many more of your videos!
