The Houdini initials joke is hella underrated. Fantastic trick!
Yeah I loved that one. Probably whooshed on most of the audience/viewers.
Yeah I feel like only spanish speakers truly understood that one
I enjoyed the look on their face that was just like “shh no one tell the white people”
It honestly took me a couple seconds to figure it out. But that is indeed a 5 star joke😂
@@TSfish94 "the white people?" Sheesh...
I love how Penn is so respectful in his analysis and feedback to the Magicians' work. Great judge!!!!
I felt that too
This time the admiration she showed was truly amazing. A lot of people get the "that was amazing and some snarky quips"
But this was so genuine.
Ye, they just love the art
I really respect that about Penn.
I am always amazed how quickly Penn can come up with a reply, in code, if they were not fooled.
I love the JJ initials for Harry Houdini joke. The Spanish speakers got it right away.
Allison is so cute with her incredulous "nah ah!"
Her reaction is fake 😂😂 "i didnt feel anything" fake reactions 101 lmao
why she need to fake that when he literraly didnt do anything at that moment, all the sneaky stuff was done before that.
@@PuppetMaster-Blade TROLL 😠👎
@@jolujo5842 im not, half her reactions are fake and over the top 😆
@@PuppetMaster-Blade of course ... She is paid to act. 🤣
The magician "ruining" the trick by casually preempting the end (like when he shows one hand at a time from beneath the handkerchief, supposedly _before_ he escapes) is probably my favorite magic trope. It's understated -- by acting casually about it, the magician doesn't draw attention to it and it _looks_ perfectly natural, but when you think about it, they _shouldn't_ even be _able_ to do it. It's like the magician saying "I know that you know that the trick can happen at any moment, so let's have fun with this." Danial executed this fantastically!
It's smart because we instinctively know that he can probably get out of those thumbcuffs, so by pre-empting it just before the reveal it throws us a curveball because we thought that it was going to be the final reveal. Now we're not sure what we should be looking for and we don't have enough time to speculate before he reveals the card around his two thumbs.
yeah theres been times ive only realized after the fact like wait what happened to the trick?!?!? lol
Red herring!
the deliberate showing of slipping his cuffs was a distraction so you wouldn't see him poking holes in the cards. putting the cards away and acting like he wouldn't do the card part because Allison "screwed it up" was also a distraction. he didn't pull out the same pack
Yeah, it's the first time I actually did a double take for it--and I've seen it before, too!
What style, what humour, what skill, what a triumph! As a fellow magician, I'm full of admiration Daniel - top class!
It's the humour that counts and yes, out of all the acts I've seen, he's in the top ten.
Ditto. On first viewing, I just went along for the ride. Wheeee. On second viewing, and knowing where it was going, I got it all. That made me appreciate the act even more! 🤌😗
What what in the butt.
This act just made me so happy
I'm laughing out loud all the way through and, like everyone else, astonished at the end.
This guy is a natural comedian with perfect timing and stage presence
I wasn't astonished. I saw him put the pack of cards in his pocket and bring it out again. The weight of the cards matched the weight of the thumb cuffs.
The 6th of hearts was a forced card, with a duplicate one in his pocket.
@@mehdiahsan4042 I have watched it again after your comment. Yes you're right, he's got great humour.
@@yggdrasil7942 Also Manuel is his son, thats what Penn wroye on the note.......................Probably.
How very true
✌️
Penn called this act perfect four times in a matter of minutes. It may not have ended with a Fool Us trophy, but that level of praise is priceless. Beautiful performance in every way.
Perfect act with a lot of pocket props and great distractions. The fact its funny is the icing on the cake
What an absolute jewel of an act. So charming, so funny without being annoying, and the end trick is a complete reversal from what you expect, so that even someone used to these kinds of tricks never sees it coming.
"so funny without being annoying". Kudos! Usually, when a fooler starts up with a few jokes I wince, expecting that I'll have to put up with the humor to get to the trick, but this guy was the real deal.
Wow. You got me good. I actually thought that Allison had in fact ruined the card trick and that you were going to skip it and do only the escape. I should have seen it coming -- no pro is going to get caught out like that. The ending with the six of hearts being found again was absolutely brilliant. Great job.
My feelings exactly!
No that part was pretty obvious. First he said "put the card wherever you want", then he said "say stop!" and then said "put the card here please".
Maybe native English speakers were fooled because they thought this was a language barrier but since I'm a non native English speaker myself, I could tell that wasn't a mistake and he did it on purpose
@@hittingyouoverthehead , yes, but he did a good job playing it off. It was plausible that the whole thing was just a joke and he wasn't actually going to do a card trick. He doesn't just misdirect as to how he does the trick, but as to whether he's even going to do the trick. lol
Nobody who gets on this show would make such an amateur mistake. Besides, it didn't matter where she put the card in the deck because he already knew which card she had taken, or more accurately he knew which card he had forced her to take.
I couldn't care less that you didn't fool Penn and Teller, you got their praise and admiration, you certainly fooled me, and I'm pretty sure you entertained everyone watching. Awesome performance!
This has to be my absolute favorite trick ever on this show, Daniel has more charisma than almost every native English speaker ever
Even Danny Aiello?
@@justincoleman3805 I can’t say I’ve seen that one, I’ll have to watch them!!!
Well, he does a great job using the not so good English as _part of_ his routine. It might not have been as entertaining if he was a native speaker. And not just because of the JJ joke. lol
This and Daniel Daortiz are the two best by a mile. Something about spanish speaking magicians! They both had this perfect combination of chaos, humor, and perfect misdirection.
I gotta tell you, man, I think their compliment of your act is probably worth more than having fooled them. It was a blast to watch and I appreciate you sharing this with us! Muchas gracias, muy bien senor.
I’m with you on this comment. The praise was way better then the FOOL US trophy! Amazing act and routine!
no. the point is to fool them. if you don’t fool them, you are a failure.
@@Slop_Dogg you're a failure
@@Slop_Dogglol
Allison had such a genuine reaction lol
Lol
Allison’s reaction was so fantastic and genuine. I think this is now my favorite act on Fool Us, and it wasn’t even a fooler!
Have watched a ton of these videos and this is by far my favourite. No stupid or over the top acting and the whole thing just feels so genuine and smooth
Okay after watching it a bunch of times I think I figured it out but man this is so well done^^ If I had not the ability to like watch over and over again and slomotion and stuff there would be no way
Agree 100% --- he's witty and charming, yet humble and unassuming.
Dude was at my birthday party years ago. It's really more of a stand up show than a magic show. But that doesn't mean the magic is not really impressive.
Man, for so many people the language barrier can be such an obstacle for a performer, but you take the language and use it as such a wonderful and hilarious compliment to your act! Absolutely brilliant, one of my favorite performances ever on the show!
It's actually integral to the act as well, as you see, his English isn't so good when he is giving instructions to Allison about putting the card back. ;)
Never mind fooling, that performance alone deserves a trophy! 🏆
One of the very best acts ever on this show
Thanks so much!!!!
Feel like the fact that they refused to say any hints out loud is an accomplishment enough.
To have Penn & Teller say your trick is a GEM and PERFECTION.....I mean dang, that's some high praise
The fact that Daniel does not speak English as a first language/fluently but still managed to pull off the jokes and be so charming is impressive in itself really, and makes him a great performer. But the trick itself was also fantastic and although Penn and Teller may have figured it out, the average non-magician would still be totally fooled (at least I was) and it was really a pleasure to watch!! I think having Penn say that your trick is “perfect” is almost better than fooling them tbh!!
He would have killed me if in the end he would just pretend reading and then say “I can’t read in english”
LOL!!!!!!!!!
This performance is so underrated! It's one of my favorites in the entire show. This should seriously have way more views.
Great comment! Right on.
My favourite after watching like 30 of these
how do you figure its underrated?
I love how at the very end, when Daniel nods acknowledging they know how the trick was done, Teller points to something they wrote just for him and when the camera changes you can see Daniel saying thank you to Teller. Daniel, ¡ha sido una actuación fantástica!
Wow! Well spotted! Love that! He deserves all the praise.
Thanks for pointing out this part. I missed it, and it makes the act even better.
I always enjoy the gag where the person pulls a hand out that's supposed to be tied up, it just makes me laugh everytime.
Well done sir, good luck in the future!!
3:52 I actually thought it got ruined 😂😂
Hahah right? You'd think that after binging so many of these, I'd realize that the magician is always in control, but I still got worried that somehow the performance got ruined. But of course I was only astonished at the end.
Im german and my girlfriend and I started to watch fool us (guess we are 2 seasons in over all) and this was one of the best routines I have seen in this show. Maybe the best so far that didnt fool them.
You are German and have a girlfriend?
@@Desam1000 yes 🤷🏼♀️
@@goliard20 that's such an amazing fact
@@imafraidjumitebeinagangto mention im a international fan. This show doesn't air in our country
Look at his girlfriend..he is probably telling everyone
When the comedy is almost better than the act, you know you've got a perfect stage magician.
He is genuinely warm and welcoming, open and funny. The way he touches Teller on the shoulder, and openly examines and admits he didn’t fool them, is so heart warming! What an amazing human being! And the trick was great and his comedic timing is impeccable. To top it of with his warm personality _(the way he guides his a audience guest off stage is so personal!)_ is so genuine if makes him one of the few naturals on stage, completely and utterly himself. Amazing stuff!!
I don't even care if he fooled Penn & Teller, he was one of the most funny, charismatic and entertaining performers to appear on Fool Us and the trick was beautifully executed with an unpredictable ending.
Daniel K is a natural entertainer and thankyou for this performance.
Well done, that was great.
Never heard Penn speaking so highly of anyone's performance, and I think he's right.
I loved the entire act, wonderful!
Man that was such an incredible trick! I've watched so many of these P&T videos, this is up there with one of the best acts!
One of the best, funniest, most well-timed acts I've seen. Absolute perfection, every magician should strive to perform as well as you did today.
That was absolutely beautiful sir. That's the difference between a trick and a PERFORMANCE. Excellent job sir!
I am so with P&T on this... after the laughter had subsided, the first thing I thought, was "That was just beautiful"... because it was.
Genuinely awe inspiring, thank you.
You liked my comment... it brought me back to the video, which I watched again... and it is even better the second time, even though you know what will happen!
My jaw was still on the floor, I was still laughing the whole way through, and my mood has been lifted for the full day because of how fun and amazing this was... truly a masterpiece.
This just goes to show you don’t have to fool them to still have an impressive and memorable act.
I appreciate that Penn didn't speak in the "magician's code" because that shows respect for magicians who speak English as a second language. I think he really wanted Daniel to win in order to make the trip all the way from Uruguay worth his while and so he could have different countries represented in his show. ¡Fenomenal!
What a great show! Why can’t all TV be this good .
Never knew Uruguay had so good magicans. That was a wonderful show from Daniel K. I watched it 3x times.
Truely perfect, just as Penn says. Completely blew me away
Most underrated trick on Fool Us. The presentation really is perfecto!
I just love this act. It's so cleanly executed and so charming. Side note: what an uncanny resemblance to Andy Garcia!
Love the program, and your segment. My only beef with the show is that fooling & entertaining the audience is the real Job #1.
A loss for everyone would be a dull trick that happens to Fools P&T. And I too, laughed out loud at "JJ".
Penn wasn't lying, this was such a great performance.
Amazing work, Daniel!

This is absolutely perfect. He was completely successful-- He says: "People forgive a mistake, but don't forgive when the show is boring." His quips are short, fast, and funny. Rarely do the magicians/comedians keep me engaged and laughing out loud; usually the jokes are not particularly funny. I actually don't really care if they fool Penn & Teller. The way he keeps his performance very kinetic, the tempo and delivery fast throughout the routine and how he warmly interacts with Alison & Manuel (even w/ Penn & Teller-- they are just sitting there aghast) helps him get a kinesthetic response of real enjoyment and amusement. For me, this is the best routine that I have seen on this show.
Damn he has perfected this like a fine wine
That was amazing! Probably one of the best acts I’ve seen on this show. Hilarious, especially that Houdini joke 😂
Best routine I’ve ever seen. One of my favorites. Well done and thank you! ❤
Wow Daniel isn't just a great magician he's a great performer period. The was one of the best examples I've ever seen of mixing comedy in with magic without it being super cheesy or forced. He's a natural. Even though he didn't fool them I hope he goes on to grow his platform and get some spotlight because this act was one of the more entertaining acts you'll see and I'm sure he has more up his sleeve.
He had me at "be careful with the steps". There speaks someone who makes magic for people, instead of using people for magic.
Sure, but also, Manuel was a plant person.
@@TroyMorris He is his son,
Fantastic trick.
He forced the 6 of hearts from the start. Has a button on the cuffs to loosen them. Sleight of hand to swap the deck of cards with deck of cuffs. Swapped his cuffs for a second 6 of hearts in his pocket when he handed the audience member keys to the cuffs.
Excellent showmanship makes it a great show even knowing how the trick was done.
I couldn't see a force.
I agree, but when did he swap the decks without Allison feeling it? My guess is that it just looked like a full deck of cards when he put it in her hand.
He swapped the deck before he even put it on Allison’s hand.
Love the respect they gave him , truely talented guy , showmanship does so much more for the act 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏....
The magic is simple but the presence is 10000% you rock the stage men
cool how when you're in the Fool us rabbit hole, you get to see so many interesting channels from so many unique magicians. Y'all got a cool community
I like this trick so much I keep coming back to watch it. It’s so good, and so much fun to watch.
Danial! Omg. Great act! I used to do a similar comedy thumb cuffs routine in the early 90s. I went away from magic and during that time i lost all of my magic things. I was left with only a few trinkets and the magic in my heart. Today i am studying my way back into magic. Until i saw this, i had forgot how well the thumb cuffs played for the spectators. This routine brought tears to my eyes. They are there still as i write this. Thank you for existing. I am going to buy the thumb cuffs and add a card routine. So perfect i wish i would have thought about it. Please except my rendition of it as a compliment to you. Maybe i will get it up on youtube. Again. Thank you for existing.
Every time I watch this it gets better and better. Truly amazing performance and original act. Bravo!
What a great routine, so entertaining. For those who may not get the "JJ" as Harry Houdini's initials joke: when speaking Spanish, you pronounce "J" in the manner you would pronounce "H" if speaking English. A clever joke that got a solid ja ja from me...
I think that there were many magicians that fooled them in cheap ways, kind of abusing the system, but even tho you didn’t I know that you’re one of the most impressive magicians ever been there and that was one of the best acts in the history of the show and you could tell from penn’s heartfelt comments
One of the best performances on FU. Not just this season, but any season. Perfect timing. I've seen this trick done with rope, but not thumbcuffs. And not nearly as well as you, sir. Please work up another trick and try again.
Thanks!!!!
@@DanielKmagia you were amazing!!!! very funny and so smooth, very hard to be so good like that, fantastic routine Daniel!!! much luck in your future to you :)
Oh man, you remind me of one of my friends from many years ago. We sold cars together and absolutely loved WRC racing (and cars in general) so we got along really well. He was from Paraguay and told me about all the WRC circuits he'd been to in South America. This reminded me of him because of how insanely on-point and witty everything was. Well written, well-performed, and well paced.
This is exactly the kind of routine this show was created for! Great job, Daniel, and hoping to see you on Fool us again for a rematch!
Perfect in every way. The comedy, his personality and the magic was spot on Perfect.
Rendimiento perfecto!
This act is an absolute delight
Increíble acto sos un genio, y un orgullo latino, felicidades saludos desde Guatemala
the respect shown from P&T tells you everything you need to know
Fantastic performance
One of the most clever and entertaining acts i have seen
One of the best tricks on the P&T show ever. Humor and magic - a perfect get together. I laughed the whole time. Thank you!
This dude had EVERY element you want to see in an act. I really wished he would have fooled them. But it was awesome watching him do it!
You know this acts speak so much about the magician. He did not know the language well and yet his performance and comedic timing was beyond perfect. Not to mention the absolutely astonishing trick. One of my favourite fool us performances for sure
He speaks fine English, he just has an accent.
his English is perfect he uses the "I cant speak " routine, so is the English of his son Manuel......His assistant BTW
@@g3ldrith Is that his Son? It was obvious he was a plant.

I think this is the most entertaining magician performance I have ever seen.
I've watched dozens of these and this was FKING AWESOME! it actually has me smiling and laughing! Well done well done indeed!
That was one of the best routines I have ever seen, and I love your personality. The words, the moves, the jokes, everything, that was awesome, I loved it. ¡Bravo!
My English is as good as yours. So I can't explain correctly how great this was to watch.
Doesn't matter he didn't fool them. They gave him the highest compliment "it's the perfect routine".
Probably the most amazed I've seen the audience sound.
Amazing routine, man
What a nice guy. and an amazing performance.
Also he loved every single comment. this guy is a legend.
That was great! The way he pretends that Alison screwed up the card trick was really convincing and raised the stakes.
My god, some people have it all, and you sir have it all. Incredible talent, personality, hardworking (even as a boy, studying VHS tapes to learn magic), sense of humor, stage presence, world-class magician, and you look like a model 15 years younger than you probably are. Just a world-class performer. Bravo.
My opinion hardly has the same weight as Penn's but I think he got it exactly right. Everything about that was delightful. One of the top acts I've seen on FU.
Soo good. U deserve the trophy!
Whether you fooled them or not, this is hands down the most entertaining trick in the history of the show.
I loved the act.
You are awesome.
Laughter is a key.
And you did the secret in a really smooth way.
Keep entertaining people.
Never stop 👍
We need more magicians like this. Comedy and magic is a perfect pair.
From the "JJ" for Jarry Joudini to reaching into his pockect with one hand (when his thumbs were supposed to be cuffed, and it went right over Allison's head) to give Allison the key to unlock him in case he cant get free.
Soo much fun, great job!
That was incredibly high praise from P&T. What an entertaining act! Loved it.
As others have said - this is such a beautiful performance. One of my favorites from the entire history of this show. So good that I'm glad they didn't speak in code. I went back and watched it again, and the "moments" are actually quite noticeable for people who know what they're looking for.... but the "magic" is in his pacing and delivery that make you completely miss the "moments" because you're enthralled by the performance. Bravo!!!
Performance is absolutely key here! I went back and tried to see where the "tricky" moments were and even though i'm not a magician, it seems like the mechanics of this trick are fairly simple. Its how clean the maneuvers were and the perfect timing for redirection that makes this trick so effective!
I attended language school in Montevideo, Uruguay for 8 months. This made me miss not being able to return there. Oh, that was amazing!
This is among the best tricks I’ve ever seen, made better by his sense of humor.
This was my favorite performance out of all the ones I’ve seen so far. Great magic and even better entertainment
Forget the trophy. That unique critic by Penn Made him Info magicians Olymp. Very awesome to whatch
I’ve watched these guys since a kid. This act had my jaw drop fr
This has to be one of the best performances I've ever seen. Beautiful on so many levels. Wow.
Please don't change a single second of this act! It's the perfect routine, presented with perfect simplicity. If anything the self-deprecating humour about your faltering English only made it more fun. 👏👏👏
This is one of the most entertaining routines I've watched on P&T and absolutely delightful and smooth. Well done!
Fantastic performance. Loved it.
most likable dude Ive seen in a long time!
Insanely well executed. I have no idea how you did it
