I can only deduce that the egg was real from the start, and the handkerchief only appeared to be stuffed into the egg, thus selling the trick.
When he was asked “which fooled us first, the chicken or the egg?” I expected him to immediately say “the chicken”. It would have gotten a great reaction lmao

I've watched maybe a hundred of these and it still cracks me up every time that the trophy says F U 😂
It's always fun to see Penn upset, but the fact that Caleb seemed freaked out made it all the better; that he managed to deceive them, the cherry on the top.
It makes me so sad to see there's no one in that audience, and it makes me so happy that you guys would keep doing this even without them. I know why they weren't there but damn that's a mark on history.
know what my favorite thing about Penn and Teller is? They live for entertainment. make them the butt of the joke, make them dance, make them look silly for your act. if it gets a laugh or a smile, they're all for it.
It's quite simple.The egg is divided into two parts, with the upper half being empty and the lower half containing the yolk and a small amount of egg white. The upper half's space is large enough to accommodate a bandana, but the hiding action would be slightly awkward, so the magician deliberately creates several pauses. Finally, tapping the egg must be done with a pinch, as the yolk won't slide down automatically. When well-trained magicians are contemplating when to switch eggs, the truth is that the egg were not "the egg" from the beginning. Using an old and well-known magic trick to fool other magicians, that is truly impressive. Well done!
