Very inspiring! I just would like to add another tip: Speak to yourself and Read in aloud voice from time to time, to practice your speaking, in case you have nobody to speak to. This is what I still do every day, before starting my shift specially, because I self-taught myself, and my actual job is providing tech support over the phone. Great video. One thing I've observed when it comes to acquiring a new language from others is the REPETATIVE LISTENING! Such an underrated tip that many "polyglots" on youtube seem to skip yet it is so vital. It even makes sense for us a children that always want to watch the same show or movie or listen to the same song over and over and over to the point they memorize words (I prefer the term 'syllable sequence'). I've also read and watched non-native english speakers who have learned english by watching the same shows and/or episodes over and over and over while supplementing with other new pieces of input. it just makes sense and I've been incorporating that in my language acquisition process (I have a couple of news broadcasts that are always on loop and crazy thing is, after about 2 weeks I started noticing repeating words (syllable sequences). Hey man! Congrats! You've reached a very good level of English! I know how much work it takes to get to this level for a non-native speaker! Keep it up!
haha, same here. I studied english in School with the absolutely same result. Your pronunciation now though is perfect for my ear! Excellent job! My case to really start improving my english was moving to a foreign country. When you have no choice to use your native language you progress very fast. Also speaking a lot at work works the same way as repetitive listening and more natural. It comes easy when it needs.
Man, you said it. You rock! Now I'm back on track because of you. I used to do many things you mentioned back in time. And now after watching this great and useful video, I'm inspired to go back and work on those tips to get fluency in English once and for all. Thanks for sharing it. God bless you and keep up the good work.
For the first time when i watched "Sherlock Holmes' movies i was utterly stunned how fast they were using every single word and then Repetitive listening did work ❤
Thanks for those advices. I'm a French guy currently learning English and I'm applying 2 things that you mentioned in my life in order to be more fluent. I think exposure is the most important step to enhance your level. You have to live your English instead of only learning it. I found your channel recently and I love it. Keep going and thanks again for those tips.
Woww its really motivate me your video. I search a lot of video but when I heard your english accent I like to continue to listen and watch your video. I hope I can do become fluent to speak english too.😊😊
I love listening to your podcast. You speak fluently and gently. I could totally catch up your flow. BTW, I am a Chinese and learning English as my second fluent language recently.Glad to meet you here.
The most important factor in the journey of learning a new language is to immerse yourself in this language. In other words you have to always to be exposed to a content in your target language
I understand, almost 90 percent of your speech, even though I come from a small nation, and my native language is Yakut. And I need to say that I have noone to talk with, so I'm lacking in speaking practice. I listen to your fluent speaking and I wan to achieve that level that you have, keep doing these videos, they're obviousely very helpful. I'm writing without using any translators, so there can be some odd word usages and mistakes in my writing
if you can understand less than nearly 100% of every single piece of content you listen to (except for academic words ), i don't recommend start speaking now, your competency is not there yet. LISTEN more, more and more. Just consume as much content as you can for a cooker years, while practicing writing, find a way to activate your passive vocab ( writing ) so that when you transition to speaking you're in a better place.
I'm in a level like you,I'm not advanced in general,in the most of test that I took in internet I get b1 or even b2 level(without speaking part,in speaking I'm A2 sure),I can understand most of the video, and some easy books in english, but I'm not confident to speak neither write :(
I do disagree with the above comment. If you have the chance to practice speaking, do so as much as you can and as early as you can. Speaking is a very different skill from writing, reading or comprehension. The earlier you begin practicing it the easier it will be down the line, and it's okay to make mistakes, because that is actually how you learn. Apart from consuming content, if you don't have anyone to practice speaking with, practice your pronunciation - you can record yourself for example.
Hello my dear friend Lois Talagrand, good afternoon! Great this video, I liked it much! Congratulations for your work that you have done on RUclips. I could understand your speaking skill in English, about 80%. I admire your endowment. Greetings from Sonora, México 🇲🇽.
Hey Lois!😊 First of all, your English is impressive!👏 I can imagine how much work and effort you must’ve put into getting to this level. Respect, brother!💪 Secondly, I love that you emphasized what it actually takes to get to a very good level of English. I personally don’t agree with people who say that 10-15 minutes per day is enough. We both know that it takes a whole lot more than that, and not everyone is willing to devote those hundreds if not thousands of hours to become an amazing English speaker and use it effortlessly. Not many people realize the price of achieving this goal. I do. That’s why I have such huge respect for everyone who’s gotten to a very advanced level of a foreign language.💪 Great job, man!👍 Keep sharing your experience.😊
thank you so much for the video, was really helpful,I'm b1 right now and I really like English, the culture around it and my long-term goal is can understand history books
I recently discovered your RUclips channel and was impressed by your fluency in English, especially considering that you are a native French speaker. Thank you for sharing your experiences. I hope i can learn something from this video, improve my comprehensive abilities when I listen to others and maybe help me a lot when I want to talk what I think by my second language .
Your English is very understandable. Sometimes I wish native speakers spoke as clearly as some people who learned English as a second language speak. 😂😂😂😂
1st and most important thing u have to start thinking in English and B patient on self 2. Don't worry about mistakes 3. Practice and practice and practice
I'm Japanese, and I have been learning English on my own for 10 years. but I can't understand native speakers. I got a lot of chips in this video. Thank you for sharing the idea of how you are fluent in English.
Its possible if you trust yourself and practice english everyday single day make it like routine in your life you can acheive it and became fluent and speak like native speakers be consistent
Thanks a lot. some notes about your video. Repetitive listening, choose the content that interests you. Switch life to English and become comprehensive to the content before learning. I did a lot of reading which actually improved my reading and vocabulary a lot, but my speaking and listening still can not be improved which troubles me quite a long time.
awesome ! Learning a Language takes time and courage and self commitment and thats how i recommend whoever wants to learn English or a new Language. keep it up 👍👍
I think it is also about self awareness. People have different kind of intelligence and some are very good at learning languages. On the other hand, some are good at mathematics or psychology. If you know your self you know what method suitable for you. At school , they teach you academic languages. Unfortunately, they are focusing too much on grammar and few hours every months won’t help you be fluency! Put yourself into the environment that forced you to speak. Learn whenever or whatever possible.
This is a very informative video, thanks a lot! The way you speak including the vocab chosen and speed, is very friendly to English learners, I can comfortably understand every word. Please try to film more interesting topics related to daily life or discussion over certain topics. Looking forward to your future videos

haha, same here.
As an english learner lam grateful to found your channel thank you so much teacher
Bcz you are a frensh speaker english is so easy for you. Good job man 😊
Shadowing is the Best way to understand everything
How do you do it?
Man, you said it. You rock! Now I'm back on track because of you. I used to do many things you mentioned back in time. And now after watching this great and useful video, I'm inspired to go back and work on those tips to get fluency in English once and for all. Thanks for sharing it. God bless you and keep up the good work.
Thanks, good luck to you!
Best of luck!
Thank you so much. I like your English.
Woww its really motivate me your video. I search a lot of video but when I heard your english accent I like to continue to listen and watch your video. I hope I can do become fluent to speak english too.😊😊
Really great strategies. Thanks for the video.
Your english is truly impressive!Could you please share your methods for practising English and pronunciation like a native speaker?
I will try!
Your English is perfect
Thanks
I love listening to your podcast. You speak fluently and gently. I could totally catch up your flow. BTW, I am a Chinese and learning English as my second fluent language recently.Glad to meet you here.
Glad it's helping!
The most important factor in the journey of learning a new language is to immerse yourself in this language. In other words you have to always to be exposed to a content in your target language
im going to tell this to my students. thank you
Where are you from?
I'm curious 🤔
Let's me guess...
Brazil?
@@ShadowZx22thank you for your advice
I wonder why dont we practice speaking together. I’m also not that advanced level but im eager to speak.
Imitation technique is really helpful too, improves your pronunciation and accent massively
Respect, brother!💪
Secondly, I love that you emphasized what it actually takes to get to a very good level of English. I do. That’s why I have such huge respect for everyone who’s gotten to a very advanced level of a foreign language.💪
Great job, man!👍 Keep sharing your experience.😊
Thanks a lot!
This is actually what I think and say it to my self. it’s not easy to learn any language especially when it different from your mother language.
True@@wa3618
thank you so much for the video, was really helpful,I'm b1 right now and I really like English, the culture around it and my long-term goal is can understand history books
Good luck to you!
I am French too , and I am agree with you learning languages with schools is very difficult and painful sometimes so thanks you for this video
Thanks for watching!
I recently discovered your RUclips channel and was impressed by your fluency in English, especially considering that you are a native French speaker. As a Japanese person born and raised in Japan, I am excited to see that you also speak Japanese and I am curious to learn more about your language learning method. I believe that your approach can help me improve my English skills as well.
P.S. My honeymoon destination was Bora Bora island!
Thank you for sharing your experiences. I hope i can learn something from this video, improve my comprehensive abilities when I listen to others and maybe help me a lot when I want to talk what I think by my second language .
Thank you. I will let my students know about your tips. I agree 100 %.
Your English is very understandable. Sometimes I wish native speakers spoke as clearly as some people who learned English as a second language speak. 😂😂😂😂
1st and most important thing u have to start thinking in English and B patient on self
2. Don't worry about mistakes
3. Practice and practice and practice
Thnks
I don't know "where you are from" but all of us, are human, your video make Smarter than earlier version of myself! Keep it up dear RUclipsr!
keep up the good work your accent is great and you have given me hope to reach an advanced level of english.
i do repetitive listening to your video. it helps a lot. thank you
I'm Japanese, and I have been learning English on my own for 10 years. but I can't understand native speakers. I got a lot of chips in this video. Thank you for sharing the idea of how you are fluent in English.
Hope it helps.
*tips
I hope you don’t have a chip on your shoulder about this video.
Thank you. You will be my motivation to lerning english.
It's not possible to have this level without living where people speak English. I can not believe that.
Its possible if you trust yourself and practice english everyday single day make it like routine in your life you can acheive it and became fluent and speak like native speakers be consistent
You get what you believe ✌🏻
He must be naturally gifted when it comes to acquiring foreign languages.
I have never lived in an English speaking country. But I'd say my English is pretty good for a non - native speaker
I’ve watched your other videos and thought you were a native english speaker already 😂 very impressive!
Crazy man ! i can't believe 🔥🔥
Your English is excellent! Thanks for these great tips.
This is a very informative video, thanks a lot! The way you speak including the vocab chosen and speed, is very friendly to English learners, I can comfortably understand every word. Please try to film more interesting topics related to daily life or discussion over certain topics. Looking forward to your future videos
