  • Back in June, CITIUS MAG visited Eldoret, Kenya to get a glimpse into the early parts of Eliud Kipchoge's build-up toward the 2023 Berlin Marathon. He returns to the German capital just one year after lowering his own world record to 2:01:09. Now 38 years old, Kipchoge is looking to become the first man to win the race five times.
Kipchoge is coming off a disappointing sixth place finish at the Boston Marathon. Despite the loss, he remains adamant in his quest to become the first person to win all six World Marathon Majors.
The long run captured was on the hilly 'Boston' course that climbs up to 2,700m. Kipchoge and his training group, which includes former NYC Marathon champion Geoffrey Kamworor, completed it in 2 hours and 24 minutes.
