So last time I made one, and looking at my last comment, it was only couple months ago. 😂 I was getting over pneumonia and crafting makes me happy. Although I liked the finished item, I was pretty sure I would NOT make another one of these. I made minor adjustments and as a WHOLE, these can be a lot of work. Well, as they say. Never say never. Out of the blue, I just had to make another in spite of the time ( for me) that it takes. I found some of my OLDER but gorgeous file folders and made one of the folios today. Boy do things change. Those older file folders were so thick compared to the ones you buy now, I almost couldn’t get things to stay glued, (I don’t sew). I had to break out the heavy duty glue and thank goodness the 9001 held them together. These really are cute made with nice gorgeous file folder patterns. The file folders are so flimsy now days however. Even the flimsy ones still make cute folios. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I do like the folio you created. 🙏🏻 God bless you. 😊
I'm glad you enjoyed the process! Yes! The new folders are definitely very flimsy! Sometimes that's just fine if I'm adding some heavy cardstock papers to it but when I'm using thin paper or bookpages like these, I wish they were a little more sturdy.
I have been binge watching all of your videos. You are so creative and interesting to watch. I’m excited to start exploring the world of Junk Journals.
Thank you so much, I have learned a lot from your tutorials. Will never understand that thumbs down response when you are so generous with your time and talents. It also makes me feel better knowing that my gurus also have hiccups sometimes and that it's not only me.
One would hope. But I've had some real doozies on my channel before that required some blocking and reporting. 😉 Thank you so much for supporting my channel! 💙 xx, Dawn
Some one said that if you punch tinfoil it will sharpen your cutting tools. It's worth a try before you end money for a new one. People are crazy. Life happens and who are we to judge you for making a mistake on camera. I love watching you make your beautiful items. They are awesome !!!
Thank you so much. I've been looking for something to do with a larger size book cover that I made and this fits the bill. It turned out great even with my sewing mistakes.
Love the project, following along and making one! And I've never given a thumbs down! If I don't like something I just move along! Lol ppl are mean and you are great! 🤗
Hi! Your explanations are so complete and clear! I truly appreciate how much effort you put into stating what to avoid and of course, what to do. I can make this the first time instead of making 2 or 3 attempts before I figure out all the steps that were unclear or omitted. Thank you so much for your diligence! I love this!
Those Edith Holden papers are lovely...Fab job in explaining how to put the folio pages together & luv the folio pages u r working on...I have never made anything as big as this but will hopefully try this out on an A5 Journal...Cheers for sharing! X
Love your Journal insert! I’m enjoying going back to watch your older videos. Update. I couldn’t wait and had to make one today. It’s really nice and your tutorial made it easy. I didn’t sew it...I may try to make another one soon using sewing. Thank you again! I love your projects!❤️❤️❤️
I just subscribed to your channel. I love the neatness of folios (as opposed to junk journals) and I love what you can do with file folders. I also like that you don't edit out mistakes and go back to correct things you forget. We are all human and it helps keep your viewers on track so we know what to watch out for. Love your stuff!
Thank you SO MUCH for your videos and tutorials!!! I LOVE THEM!! I crafted right along with you and made one of these beauties this morning! Now to decorate and embellish!!!! Thanks again!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Such a simple and fast folded folio! I love the hidden, folded folders and you have explained this so well 💕 I will so give it a GO this weekend, maybe using some double sided cardstock 🤔 Thank you for sharing!
Brilliant project... As I watched I ordered some file folders on EBay... I so want to do this! I think Edith Holden pages are a bit part of my love for wanting to make this! Thank yo so very much for taking the time to teach us step by step..slowly slowly... You are a wonderful teacher!

What a great teacher you are! You explained this so well, easy to follow right along! I can see making many of these as the base, with not one looking like the other. Thank you for taking the time to do a tutorial! I know this takes time to do this, and it is greatly appreciated! New subbie here. Can't wait to see more of your projects!
Thank you so much Cindy! I appreciate your kind words. 💙 I hope I don't over explain things but my goal is that even the most inexperienced crafter will be able to complete the project successfully. Thanks again!

Yes you can. I usually punch mine through a lighter grit sandpaper and it works really well

Does it matter what gsm the file folders are? They seem to vary from 170 - 250.
Thank you for messing up on camera, it makes me feel okay about my goof ups 👍🏼😆
Lol. I wish I could be told that more often! 😅😆
Try and punch some tinfoil over and over. I was able to fix mine like that. Just a thought, I sharpen mine like that and my scissors.
😊lol. Thanks but they are just utterly worn out. I've tried about everything to no avail.
Actually I think people hit the thumbs down by mistake and they don.t know you hit it again to remove it I know I made that mistake a few times when I first got my I pad years ago and I would bump the thumbs down carrying my tablet around arghhhh 😣😦😧🙆

Please don't ever edit out your mess ups... I prefer seeing them so I have more confidence while I'm creating...👍💙💙💙🙂
Thank you! That means a lot to hear. I'm always so afraid people will get aggravated if I leave my mess ups in
HINT FOR YOU ---- not cutting well, put FOIL in punch and do several punches. This sharpens your cutting edges.
Yes. I do that on occasion. But I've actually found punching through coarse sandpaper works even better.
@@thebookvandalshop5592 Awesome. Thank you for the suggestion and i will use this !!
