After hearing so many good things about this company and so many good thing about the 1926 in particular, i almost bought my first 1926 yesterday... but being a beginner and not having developed an appreciation of all the nuances of cigars yet, i couldn't justify the $26 for the single cigar.... some day though :)
Padron is my favorite! My go to cigar is the 1926 No. 6 maduro, buy them by the box! I have yet to have a Padron I didn't like. As long as I'm smoking cigars I'll always smoke Padrons. I really want to take a tour of their factory! I just wish I could of done it before Mr. Orlando Padron passed away, would have loved to meet him.
As a Cuban-American businessman, Jorge Padrón, the president of Padrón Cigars, is at the helm of a successful cigar manufacturer, yet he still holds the same entrepreneurial spirit that his father José Orlando Padrón passed down to him many years ago. He vividly remembers the lessons in humility his father imparted to the Padrón family. “In terms of my dad’s history - all the setbacks he struggled through and all his deals he imparted to us,” Jorge explained from his Miami, Florida office, “he taught us that if you focus on the right things, everything else tends to take care of itself.” Padrón said his father had a fighting spirit that never wavered. “Basically, my dad and I always had the mentality that it takes years and years to build a brand,” Padrón said, “and it took hundreds of thousands of cigars to do that. To this day, every single cigar we hand craft has to be perfect.” His great-grandfather Damaso Padrón left the Canary Islands and emigrated to Cuba in the late 1800s and eventually purchased property and began growing tobacco. “My family was strictly in the business of growing tobacco - sorting and deveining the leaf, and then selling it to the leaf brokers,” Padrón said. The Padrón family business produces a product that has long acted as a social lubricant for corporate leaders. Smoking might be banned in the boardroom today, but executives at some of the world’s largest corporations, and those in public service, still enjoy a good cigar. Smoking a cigar is different from “smoking,” many claim. Unlike cigarettes, which are a habit, cigars are a hobby. The list of people who enjoy the hobby reads like a who’s who of the rich, famous and powerful - from business mogul to politicians to Hollywood’s elite. #copy
Once in awhile Mother Nature puts together the perfect conditions for growth by giving us just the right amount of temperature wind and rain and in the hands of the right tobacconist they create and or capture that moment in time which could very rarely be duplicated the cigar I'm referring to is the Pardon series 1926 from the second you light this cigar you will look back at all the cigars you've smoked and wonder if you've ever tasted perfection and come to realize that today is that perfect day
Yeah you got that right! The 2k Maduro is my "go to" cigar. The 64's,I like. But the '26 is out of this world! I only wish I could afford to buy them on a more regular basis, but then I guess I'm far from alone in that!
I smoked my first Padron in the summer, the 1964 Petit Corona, and it was wonderful. Very rich and full-bodied and complex. I have not tried the 1926 yet, I'm getting there, but I'm excited to try it. I also want to try that new figurado, it's expensive but I would like to maybe buy a few of those and put them up for special occasions. I just can't think of the name of it right now.
Great video! The 1926 #9 Maduro is my favorite cigar; very cool seeing how they're made from seed to packaged box. I especially liked seeing the boxes being made. It would have been cool to see the leaf aging process.
It blows my mind, I never really used to look at cigars as art, but after seeing this and learning more about it I took up the hobby over the summer. It's been a lot of fun, and watching this video is just absolutely fascinating, just fascinating.
wow. fantastically filmed and produced. and all this for a product that is not even consume: puffed in and out of the mouth to go back into the air and gone....
come to Indonesia, especially on the island of Java, precisely in the city of Temanggung and Wonosobo. Many great tobacco farmers. Traditional processing and has been for centuries.iam from indonesia java.

падрон отличные сигары. мне даже больше кубинских нравятся. кибинские какието класические в большинстве своем, предсказуемые. а вот падрон сигары празничные, душевные
As an avid cigar smoker it is so ridiculously annoying to see new people always begging for free cigars, go buy them yourself and quit begging like a child. Ok.... Needed to rant sorry
Pretty much all the videos I watch on the topic highlights two points. Different strengths form different leaves and highlight the blend. Are there exceptional cigars made from the same plant not blended"
i have immense respect for the passion, dedication, commitment to the product. an absolute work of art. However i dont have any respect for the addtction and the chemicals that i dont want in my body. for the cigar lovers out there, it must be a joy to enjoy such finely crafted cigars!
I liked it minus the owner's son jumping in every other shot. We get it, you're important. "I'll smell this leaf, and I'll look at this leaf." I don't know why stuff like that bugs me, but it does.
Exactly. the dude is right off the pages of Cigar Aficianado. The only thing missing is a rock for him to stand on as he peers off into the distance. This generation of cigar 'business man' truly stinks. You think Carlos Fuente would ever have done this? you'd have to seek HIM out with the camera and you'd be lucky and grateful to get 30 minutes of his time. Nowadays these sons who were born on third base and think they hit a triple are truly a laughing stock. But how will they ever find out? the ass kisses who buy their cigars sure won't tell them.
@kycounterstrike I agree 100% people always wanting something for free. Go buy your own and quit asking for freebies. They are only about 6-8 dollars a stick. I love padron. The 2000 is my go to every day smoke
Same here on the 2000,an outstanding cigar that's better than a hell of a lot that are many times the price! Disappointingly hard to find here in The UK (and the best price where you can translates to $474 USD!!) but I'm fortunate to have found a very reliable and accommodating online retailer in The US.
My local shop keeps them available all the time. I'm so glad cigarbid.com also has them for a very reasonable price as well. One of my favorite sites to buy cigars from. I've gotten them as low as 3 bucks a stick on there
Хороший делают продукт, чтобы простой русский крестьянин, смог вечером в уютной спокойной обстановке выкурить сигару сидя на крыльце собсвенной фазенды.
Doesn't Padron use tobacco from the same farm that produces casa fernandez? I've heard two schools of thought on Padron. One that they are magnificent and two that they are overrated but decent.
Question : If you smoke a cigar sniffing tobacco leaves, how can you understand if the smell is proper or not ? Is notorious that smoke reduce smell capacity.
Who knows what sort of tobacco Padron uses? I believe that Connecticut leaf : However, I can be mistaken.I tried their maduro. Very tasty, but expensive.

It ironic that the people who own the company are Cubans.
