  • I spent 3 days replicating my older Harry Potter cake, but this one will be driven for 3 hours into the woods. Because of that, only the book is an actual cake to make it more stable, and also due to the low guest count.
I use a Rice Krispies (any brand will work) mixture to create a base for larger cake toppers and then add details with fondant before the final cover. I use an airbrush and white highlights to add more depth. And that's it! Do you think the cake is worth $500?

Can you tell me what impression mat you used to get that texture?

That isn’t a cake though. It looked like a rice crispy.

Correct, the cake part is in the book! The hat is a cake topper. And you are right, it’s Rice Krispies, I’m giving a RECIPE in the video! If you want to make it as a cake you need to carve a cone shape out of a cake, cover it with ganache and then proceed with other steps, the decorating part is the same

I wonder if the title was misleading? I’ve made a cake and showing how I specifically made a hat in this video. Other parts are coming!
