      Yuliana,
I am so sorry for the late reply! I did not get a notification of your comment! When you are racing or even in practice, what is MOST important is that you keep your concentration on the FEEL of your stroke and what you're doing and NOT on your thoughts about other swimmers or what the coach may be thinking about you! This means that you want to focus on the things that you feel when you're going fast. For example, staying long in your stroke, how much water you're pulling, keeping your hips up in fly, your underwaters, or your breathing pattern. What you focus on feel-wise usually varies per swimmer and the stroke they're doing.
When you focus on feel, you'll stay calm and loose physically, you'll maintain your confidence and go fast. If you're thinking about those around you as they come up and pass you, then you're no longer focusing on the feel of what you're doing and then you'll slow down. So one thing you need to start practicing is "staying ion your own lane!" That is, only focusing on what is going on between your two lane lines. You will go much faster when you do that! So that requires that you stay aware of the instant that your focus drifts to thinking about other swimmers and then you must quickly and gently bring your focus back to what YOU are doing! And you must be patient with yourself when you do this so that each and every time you drift to thinking about other swimmers, you bring yourself back!
And when then coach gives you info on what you're doing wrong, you want to try to have him explain to you what it should feel like when it's done correctly so that you can focus on the feel of his correction. This is not about you being lazy. This is about you making sure that you focus on the right things!
Hope this helps a little. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
