On the topic of THC, laws aside, growers have been selecting cultivars and crossing landrace genetics for example...for fun. The hobby, the love of the plant and gardening itself. Think about Greenhouse Seed Co from Amsterdam for example. Not all about black market suppliers avoiding larger penalties and scientists, gov funded most likely, crossing cultivars for research and large scale hemp production for example...

First time I baked my own 'weed cake" I totally overdosed , I added about 20 grams of thc rich weed , grinded it and baked it :)) Good effects it sure had! I still recall vividly a lot of memories so clear I thought were impossible to remember, it was amazing and then; fractals all over the place; I could 'see' them sharp all surrounding me, impossible for the eyes, easy for the brain on THC, I never had any psychotic experience, since that I used it daily, it kills the pain of the (really bad) neuropathy i have, I love THC, sleep great and am not effected in any bad way by it.

All Monotheistic religions historically do not preach strict monogamy. Polygamy in the form of one man, several women is found. However they do strongly preach against premarital sex and in some cases, birth control. This is the issue- premarital sex and birth control, are the issues that are faced today, not monogamy, when comparing the abrahamic religions.
However, I don’t know if we are aware of the situation regarding family structure, premarital sex, and “birth control “ of hunter gatherers

I think they need to do more research on the sunscreen issue. It is my understanding that sunscreen prevents sunburns (caused by uvb), prevents aging (caused by uva)and more specifically because sunscreen blocks uva, the synthesis of vit d by our body occurs more efficiently by our body because the vit d isn’t being “damaged” by the uva. Also, it is difficult to get a “prescriptive” amount of vit d from the sun vs. a supplement. Meaning you still might be deficient after being in sun due to various factors. And lastly, I’ve even heard derms say that getting vit d from the sun is actually not any better or different than taking supplements.
That all being said, I do believe sunlight does impact circadian rhythms. But in that case, you can still wear sunscreen, just don’t wear sunglasses for a bit in the morning

I think that Blockchain governance and Blockchain voting is going to be a big part of the solution.
Code is law. Write the code. Fork the code.
Software evolves faster than anything else.
As a collective we can create a transparent virtual government. And a Blockchain RUclips and twitter for debates.

The question is if we can keep it from becoming yet another power structure.
There's plenty of elite plans to get poor people on blockchain systems, and they seem quite nefarious.
I agree that it could be a solution, and have voiced that opinion many times, but when I see it being used to subjugate people into social systems, I question if we might be headed for a techno dystopia.....
If we are going to advocate for it, we must be sure it is both optional, voluntary, and only use to benefit our lives.
Having your entire history, including every time you f*ed up sounds horrific.
Or imagine if your entire bank account could be shut down with a click of the government, because you attended the wrong protest....
If we really had a society that looked out for people and a model for rehabilitation instead of punishment, I'd be much more comfortable with the idea....

It's funny how today's intellectuals -- and I totally admire them, and I very much admire B&H -- have lost the thread on the arts. It's like the arts have sort of ceased to exist. They're not present in the reality these people live in. It's not true that myth is different than the arts, or that there was no author of the Odyssey. The Odyssey is simply a really good poem. The fact that it's unimaginable that somebody could actually write it says a lot about our time. (And the fact that Hollywood films are made for a market have nothing to do with their ephemerality; art is always created within a social system.)

@@mirandac8712 unfair criticism & totally off base. Heather is an amateur science fiction novelist & has a book in the works in this genre. Eric Weinstein, Brett's mathematician brother & author of the geometric unity theory of everything, is a prolific guitarist & musician. The cultural enlightenment these folks are involved in have many artistic offshoots, see the stoa. And it is not insular, there is an attempt to replicate "their world" so that it is something scalable and accessible to all, and it is not unartistic nor closed off to it.

    • @mirandac8712
      @mirandac8712 2 года назад +1

@@sovpsyche5427 no, you're wrong. first of all, I'm not making a criticism. heather, eric, bret (whose name you misspell) would agree with me that they don't have expertise in the arts. indeed, they often speak about this.
more importantly, you're proving my point, which is that one of the signals of our cultural decline is how the knowledge base has been replaced by a kind of half-assed 'enthusiasm' (which really isn't enthusiasm at all, since true enthusiasm requires a kind of religious discipline). I don't go around pretending I know about science. that's why I listen to their podcast. likewise, we should make a distinction between the arts and recreation. amateurism is wonderful, but it doesn't replace the history and science of a practice.
the fact that it has, for all practical purposes, is evidence of an epistemological fracture.
