My god, this reporter has nerves of steel and resolve to hold Texas law enforcement’s feet to the fire of accountability. The anguish and passion in the reporter’s voice was so effective.

They had entered the school within 10 minutes and waited well over and hour before doing anything. Apparently their Waffle House order was slow and no whipped cream came with the order so … screw the kids.

If you look at the timeline, the shooter fired his first 100 shots in roughly 3 minutes. According to the teacher, the shooter fired through the wall and door.
At that point, almost everyone in room 111 was wounded or dead. Obviously, time is blood, so further delays means more bled out.
A 3 man team attempted a breach at 3-5 minutes, but retreated under fire. It went downhill after that in the mass confusion.
It was really a systemic failure ..... all doors unlocked, poor video system, poor evacuation plan, ..... and what I called "target fixation"..... under stress folks get so focused on the unlocked door, assuming it was locked, that they couldn't "see" the second unlocked door into the 112-111 joined classrooms and the 4 windows.
What is needed are national school construction standards, video security system standards, school floor plan availability, and full team training standards against an OPFOR.
IMO medics must go in with breachers. Or some SWAT teams have SWAT medics.
We can save many more lives by giving Stop The Bleed training to all teachers and students.

The reality is the school shooters study past shootings and develop countermeasures to get the "high score." So, shootings happen fast and are generally over fast..... which dictates what solutions look like.
But those details apply to your lives, too. Do you have a first aid kit and know how to use it? You can bleed out in 5 minutes while help is 15 minutes away.

We saw the video of what happened...they did nothing for over an hour, but stand by as children and their teachers were being massacred.
I commend the reporter. He did not hold back...AND HE HAD EVIDENCE SHOWING HIS DECEPTION!! We need more reporters like that. Ask the difficult questions and if u think their lying or giving the run around...Press them even harder until they give u a truthful response.

Did you hear about the machete attack in New Yor two days ago? No? The attacker was a repeat offender who had been arrested many times before. Maybe that's because the attacker wasn't a white guy and national press ignored it. This young black woman was out on the street again even after having seven prior arrests since March for you guessed it carrying first knives and then the machete, involving threats to harm others with it or to pepper-spray people, yet she kept getting released on a OR bond, that was until blood finally flowed. Or maybe it was because of the race, gender and political affiliation of the attacker.

Balboa high school in San Francisco has an 8 foot fence around the entire perimeter of the school and a guard at the front gate. All schools need access control since all of them are institutions for change and education. All students are focused on learning and not fighting. Someone has to maintain neutrality and safety in our institutions. That shooter should have never gained access to the school. Police are not paid to risk their lives by aggressive, unplanned and thoughtless maneuvering. The gunman had a plan and to achieve his goal and he really did not require exceptional skills or planning.
He needs to be removed along with all his deputies, they had no business beening there if they weren't going to take action, because instead of doing their duties, they lacked action they are responsible for that horrible day as well...Steven MCRAWL and the one that was speaking ahead of time giving false information and all the deputies which should've stayed doing their border patrol and not take up space in that hallway, they were all parading, they all need too be suspended without pay...
