@Val fav, Your friendly tone made the video easy to understand, thank you. In your previous video you said you receive acceptance mail in March... I intend to apply for 2 Graduate scholarships for international students, for 2022 Session. I do know how to go about the application date, as that on sciencepo differs from the one on the Erasmus and Eiffel's site. Please, can you connect me to a graduate scholarship student. Thank you
Hi! I don't know of any graduate students from SciencesPo's Master's programs as I have only attended their undergraduate college. However, all of the deadlines and information should be found on their website when the time comes :) It's only 2021, so there most likely isn't any information on the website yet for 2022 applications. Best, Val
hello, thanks for the video I have 2 questions. Firstly, if I study at a public school in my country and will not receive an IB diploma or French IB, only a certificate of completed secondary education, am I still able to apply?, because if I'm not mistaken only students with IB or French diploma can apply. Also, are tuition entirely in French or any English programs (majors), for instance, International Relations or Political science, taught in English?
I don't think your nationality really plays a role given that each campus boasts an extremely diverse student body despite regional concentrations! But if you can demonstrate a clear interest in Middle Eastern/MENA affairs, that will certainly give you the upper hand. ;)
Hi! My school does offer IB but I chose another program that has different things and is more multicultural. Can I still apply without IB or is it mandatory?
The thing that concerns me is that I graduated from High school in 2019, so I am wondering if I can even apply. Do you know if it’s possible? (I haven’t enter to any university because I had the opportunity to study a Korean language course abroad, maybe because of this can be acceptable, but I am not sure.)
their rule is max. one year between high school and applying. If you waited more than a year after graduating high school and/or were enrolled in a higher education institute during that time your application won"t be accepted
Hey there I just wanted to ask if I can apply in the beginning of my last year of school (Jan and feb) before I write finals, or do I have to wait and apply during or after my end of school finals for the next year?
@@thirdculturekid2740 Thanks so much. Sorry for all the questions, I just wandered since I only write my finals in November of 2023, and am not sure if I can apply for the 2024 intake until the end of 2023, or if I can apply the beginning of 2023 for the 2024 intake.
I can't remember the exact dates, but after I received the acceptance (around March/April), I had about a month to think it over, and remember officially accepting them in May. :)
Quite informative. My daughter would love to join sciences PO. Thanks for clarifying some issues actually and happy to stumble upon your page. She's in the French system but in Kenya. I'll definitely tell her to reach out for some tips. And a question, do your tips apply to students coming straight from high school, those doing the French IB?
I applied on Feb and just got an email about my oral interview. I'm still not sure about how to prepare for it and I couldn't find anything about the new type of interview they're going to do... Can you give me some tips?
Hi! they just uploaded a new page in which they give tips about the interview and how it is organized, you should check it out it will help you a lot !
You’ll need to present yourself and what you want to do later and why you’re applying for Sciences Po. Then you’ll have to analyze a document from the news. And finally you’ll need to show that you know the cursus and why it suits your professional goals. At least, that’s what I saw for the French oral.
Sorry to contradict you but this year they state on the interview process page that none of the people conducting the interview have access to any information about you that you submitted in the prior stage
Sure! The wording is a bit vague, but I believe in this they are referring to your grades from highschool, and not your personal statement. However, if you want an exact answer, you should contact someone from SciencesPo’s Admissions team :)
Really terrific video, Val... I wish you the best of luck... I didn't catch this - are you enrolled in the dual program with a foreign Uni? Which one? May I ask you... there seems to be 2 different dual programs... - Applicants from a French Lycee... (2 years at ScPo and your third year at a foreign U... not sure what foreign Unis are offered, but you apply directly through ScPo) - Applicants for a non-french HS (2 years at ScPo and 2 at a foreign U... like UC Berkeley, Colombia, etc. but you apply directly through the US University) The first option is 3 years total, and the 2nd is 4 years total... I hope that makes sense. My son studies at a Lycee in Spain... Question: can he apply to both - the website is a bit unclear. Again - best of luck to you. You seem like you have a great future ahead of you.
Hi, thanks for reaching out and Happy New Year! Sorry to hear the website was unclear, sometimes the French version doesn’t translate well. If it’s easier for you (or your son) I am reachable at valerie.favret@sciencespo.fr, in case of future questions. As of this year, all applications to SciencesPo go through the same international admissions process. So your son will have to complete the online application and go through the interview process to get in. Before applying, he has two pedagogical paths to choose from. This first option, which is the one I choose, is to spend two years at SciencesPo and the third at an exchange University of which there are over 400. I decided to go with this option because you pay SciencesPo tuition (around 14 grand, as opposed to 50 grand for a US school unless you pay in-state) in your third year and have the opportunity to attend some really great American schools such as Johns Hopkins NYU and Georgetown. Space the second option or path is to spend two years at SciencesPo and two years at a partner university. The partner universities in the US as you know are Columbia University and Berkeley. You spend your first two years at sciences PO and your last two years at the American partner university such as Berkeley. The difference between the two is that + says PO youare getting a bachelors degree in three years and in the dual degree program you are getting two bachelors degrees in four years one at science is PO and the other at the American University you choose. So, all in all, your son can apply for both programs both the three-year and the four year program however he has to rank them in order of preference. Hope this helps!
@@thirdculturekid2740 Yes thank you so much that is very helpful… Last question as it might be helpful for your other viewers as well. Can you share where to find the list of the partner universities in the three-year program?

I’m on the Reims campus, studying in the Euro-American program :)

English campuses (Reims, Menton, Le Havre) are taught entirely in English. You do not need to study IB or be in a Lycée to apply.
@Third Culture Kid, did you take the IB diploma?
Yes, Full Diploma.
I have some doubts regarding Sciences Po, I'll be really grateful if you could clear some of them
Sure! DM me on Instagram @valeriefavret
do you think a Latin American has more chance to get into the Menton Campus like Middle East or Mediterranean or to the Reims Campus/North American???
