    I have a Gamesir X2 Pro and X2 Bluetooth, they are nice and all but the Galileo being console like size makes it really tempting. If they make a black version I'll probably get it right away.

    I sold my ps edition backbone and bought a g8 ..it's not even a contest the only thing backbone wins Is in software and for some reason cod mobile only supports backbone for native play with g8 you have to use janky overlay button mapping

      I’m not sure but I believe I’ve seen videos on that. You can do a search for it on YT. I have a 15 pro max iPhone and an older samsung phone and this controller plays codm fine with no mapping involved.

    The Backbone has a better app though on iOS, that's about it.

    Redmagic Shadow Blade 2 = GameSir G8 Galileo in black...

  • @CidPsy
    @CidPsy 9 месяцев назад +11

    Alright time for clarifications.
    There are 2 models of the Backbone right now.
    V1 is compatible with older iPhones (14 and below) and V2 (which shadow released not long ago) is a USB type C model compatible with the iPhone 15 and other type C phones.
    Wording on this video makes you understand there is one model that's compatible with everything.
    The Backbone has a integrated 3.5MM jack and another USB C connector, you can charge your phone while gaming.
    Galileo on the other hand has a more console feel controller to it. It has the Xbox One/Series triggers. Uses hall effect sticks and has two extra mapable bottons on the back. It has no extra ports.
    The USB C port in the Backbone is stiff...which you gotta be more careful not to break it. The Galileo one moves up and down, which should protect it from tear and wear.
    The backbone has a lot better software support even with a dedicated app that turns your phone in a game hub, it even lets you know what gaming apps are compatible or not with it and you can even ask the devs to please work on compatibility from the app itself.
    So depending on your need, you might want one or the other.

    I often read, but especially just under this video, that the Galileo g8 is better.
    But I guess we have to say that the new iPhones with USB-C just came out. So, i am not sure how serious I Can take all of these opinions.
    I mean, I dont know if or how much worse the old backbone (GEN1) was. Compared to the new one; the gen2 with USB-C (for new iPhone 15 series aswell)
    Sorry for my english. Might be Bad. Its not my mother Language. So please excuse me, if I did any (huge) mistakes in my comment.

    The Gamesir G8 excels in all aspects when compared to the Backbone One 2nd Gen. Its superior design, wider compatibility, advanced features, and flexible connectivity options make it the preferred choice for gamers seeking a high-quality mobile gaming controller.

      Your copy pasted ad comment on every backbone vs galileo video (obviously you are a gamesir rep) is off putting. Should let a device quality speak for itself.

    • @kongwilson88
      @kongwilson88 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@SToad I'm sharing my honest experience here. Watching a video comparing different handheld controllers for mobile devices didn't change my opinion. That's why I left a comment. While the Gamesir G8 handheld controller may not be as expensive as the Backbone V2, I think it's important for people to know about alternative options before making a purchase. A device alone cannot effectively demonstrate its quality. Can you explain how a device can prove its quality without any external factors? I'm not questioning your intentions, but I'm curious if you might be affiliated with another handheld company and trying to hide the availability of the Gamesir G8 in the market.
