I don’t know what we did to deserve you, Caroline. You feel like the vanguard of de influencing. Snapping us out of our IG filtered, beige and soft pink hued daze and bringing us back to this glorious earth where reality lives and breathes. While making us laugh. And think. Golly, your channel just feels good.
Exactly!
Amen to that!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 worth a whole lot of humor😂😂😂
Plus flower arranging
Yesss!
I got this quote from a fortune cookie and I keep it on my desk "Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired."
That's really funny! A good reframing :)
That's what my granny always said. 😅
"Something in the morning has to be stupid" - I ate chocolate this morning, thank you for validating that choice.
same
I had cookies and Takis 😂 #periodcravings
I support all of these choices. (brushes off animal cracker crumbs)
OMG, I had some left-over crispy chicken BBQ pieces early this morning. True story! I felt so quilty, - but feeling somewhat better now. Ha-ha... xx..
@@08Stella, my friend Mary was a wellspring of wisdom. She used to say that guilt is a wasted emotion. You ate breakfast! You're awesome!
❤
Since I retired in 2017, I set my alarm every morning for 8:30am just so I can snooze it and sleep in...it's very satisfying. People ask, why set the alarm? My answer is, after teaching for 31 years, I want to be in control of my mornings and not live by the alarm.
Does it make you feel rebellious to hit that snooze? 😉
Yeahhh!!! Just for the pleasure of slapping it and going back to sleep!
I’m all about that snooze life 😉
Saw a great quote on Pinterest. “You are not lazy, unmotivated or stuck. After living your life in survival mode, you are exhausted. There is a difference.” This is helping this morning person who is heading to lie on the couch every morning after breaky and going back to sleep.
Do you even realize what you're doing Caroline? You are helping us all unshame around normal human behavior, especially ADHD folks like me. I cant tell you how much I have beaten myself up for not being able to wake up at 6am and be showered + ready for work by 9am. AND I'M A CREATIVE BUSINESS OWNER WHO CALL THE SHOTS ON MY OWN TIME GODDAMMIT! Girl, I love you so much for keeping it real and showing us how you can still get shit done. Ok, gonna play pomodoro now, got my new handmade paints website launch coming up. ❤
Lolol, I actually have to be at work at 9am and still can't wake up at 6am. 😂 I mean, I zombie out of my bed but don't actually wake up till about noon 😅 and on my bad adhd days it can sometimes feel like the day never started but also is never going to end somehow.
Girl, I am also a creative business owner who call the shots but I will never ever wake up at 6 am and journal and workout before I go to work. I roll out of bed when I have to, and some days I will just lay in bed to answer my work emails and texts. I think we can find a way to be productive without being so restrictive and perfect. We can do this!
Hahah I saw this comment and said to Justin - “every time I put out a video people say that it’s a guide for ADHD…”. He just looked at me and said, maybe I should think about that. (Never been diagnosed, but people have their suspicions😉)
@@Caroline_Winklercame here to say this too.. Caroline, if I managed to get my AuDHD diagnosis this week, you definitely can too! Just please avoid losing all the paperwork and all the test by the second appointment woopsie
@@Caroline_Winkler yes, think about it! I had my suspicions regarding you for a while! Finding out about your neurodivergence can be so validating and freeing! Maybe even helps alleviate the negative thoughts, beliefs regarding personal shortcomings and odd behaviors, habits. Please consider! (Missing the plane because misremembering dates and times, ongoing anxiety, bouts of depression, weird and scary intrusive thoughts, night voices = hypnagogic hallucinations, eating disorders are extremely often go hand in hand with neurodevergent ppl, odd childhood behaviors -the ass slap story😁, issues with non sexual personal touch, frequently interrupting in conversation, getting loud as get more excited, and the weird relationship history from your twenties.) No judgment! If anything you feel closer to the heart because of the similar problems.
I love the texting block idea. I saw a post recently talking about how we didn't used to be accessible all the time like we are now. And the expectations have changed. Needing this
We didn't and you don't have to be. Train people to respect your time and need to not be available all the time and set boundaries. I have done that all my life, even before we had internet, people in my life respect that, and I have freedom, and no regrets.
I only text my close friends and family. Everyone else is silenced and I don’t get notifications. I will chat with my loved ones anytime,I consider that time well-spent. Everyone else can wait or call if it’s urgent, work included.
It has been a game changer for me. My friends know this is my system and that really helps
Texting is completely intrusive and obnoxious. I can say that because I am old and it has never been part of my life. WHY would anyone want to make themselves so available? What's wrong with phone conversations or emails? I tell people I do NOT text and they text anyway. Who has the time for that? Not I...and I am retired. Better things to do, even if it's staring out the window.
I love this concept too and I think I’ll start to use it as well
Thank you for naming 'The Moping Hour.' I didn't know it needed a name, but it somehow makes me feel better.
the best hour of the day
Mine happens in the evening 😂 it is one of my favorite time of the day
The early morning people established the rules simply because they woke up first. It’s nice to hear from a fellow late morning lady! Your realism is tops
I needed this video. I’m disabled with chronic pain and crohns disease and I constantly feel like a failure for my days. This reminded me to do the Pomadoro technique and to be kind to myself. Also I love how you infuse your days with little bouts of happiness by doing flower arrangements or meditative chores like making the bed or folding a few pieces of laundry. I really don’t find content like yours anywhere else and I cannot tell you how valuable it is to watch someone so real and genuine.
An incredibly heart felt comment. A life a path I can’t fathom. But a heart that feels very familiar. Thank you for writing this ❤
I feel your comment so much. Same situation with migraines and daily pain and the Pomodoro method has saved me and made me feel useful and productive again. Thanks Caroline for validating that this is the way everyone should live! Not just those of us with disabilities ❤
Send love to both of you. ❤ I hope your pain is diminished today.
Resonates with me so much as a fellow disabled and chronic pain human. hEDS, POTS, CCI, migraines and MCAS are my flavors of fun. But finding the small things that bring me joy or make me feel human/ accomplished in a day are so important!
Talk with your doctor and give CBD oil a go, if you haven't already. My husband has chronic pain and it really works for him.
I can't even begin to say how much I hate journaling. I keep a notebook, but it's a scrawl of shopping lists, unaffiliated passwords, and moping in the middle of the night
Haha I get it! I’m actually a big journaler but I’ve never been able to pull it off in the AM. I think that if it’s works for you, great! And if not, there’s no need!
My style.
haha, I don't hate journals, I especially like them to slap youtubers with who claim that they rise every morning at 5 to do some gratitude journaling. ;)
I am not a morning person. I actually get up an hour earlier than I have to before going to work. I just sit and drink my coffee and stare off into space. This routine actually inspires me to get up in the morning. The thought of getting up and immediately getting ready is just too much for me.
My daughter does this as well - I just can’t’ do it yet myself
I budget 15-20 minutes to get out of bed, followed by an hour to drink tea, eat cereal, and play a video game before I *start* getting ready for work. It feels like I'm living for me rather than living for the job.
Therefore, I get up 2 hours before I have to go to work! 😅
I would call turning on the stove, getting food from the fridge and making it in a pan, cooking. It doesn't have to be 5-star to be cooking.
ive been waiting my whole life for someone to accept me in this way. thank you
@@Caroline_Winkler I’m so glad! But honestly I’m just speaking the truth. ❤️
I’ve been watching your videos since your DC apartment finding video, and I think you are great. 😄
This is the single most honest morning routine on the platform. Almost exactly what I do, except if weather permits I'm fortunate enough to be able to walk around in my yard to feel some morning sunlight, air and note all the weeds that I immediately start pulling out with my bare hands in my PJs and coffee in my other hand.
Mee toooo!!!!
Ditto! I love working in the yard in my PJs.
The only thing getting me out of bed early these days is the fact that the 'sit by myself in the quiet and stare into space with no one needing something from me' time has become so important and precious to me.
Going straight from sleep to having to wake up kids and make lunches and breakfasts and get everyone out the door is a recipe for anxiety all day let me tell you.
Thank you. I'm glad to see you reached the "I don't have to wake up at 5a AND I don't have to feel guilty about it" realization at your young age. That's one stress you don't have to carry with you while it ruins your joy for decades. Ask me how I know.
Big hurdle for me ❤
I was dating a guy and stayed over for the night. In the morning, the first thing he did was sit up in bed and journal. Like grabbed his journal and grabbed a pen and wrote things. I couldn’t believe my eyes
He was writing in his dream journal obviously!
Tip: to save staining your book pages, put flowers in parchment paper or paper napkins before pressing. I've been pressing flowers for decades and own a flower press. It's fun to decoupage with them too. Xoxo😘💐
I agree with this. I accidentally ruined a few books with my nature pressing days. The moisture and color bleed a little, and the page turns to a wavy little mush.
Ugh yes!! I have only just realized this. I’m gonna try paper towels?
@@Caroline_Winklerin my experience, card stock or construction paper is best.
You got there before me. Amazed she hasn't stained any books.
@@Caroline_Winkler get baking paper - it's useful for other projects, including putting something on it to reheat in the oven 😊I travel all the time and one of the first things I buy to make a place livable is baking paper - and I don't bake
I'm only 4 minutes in and I thought I couldn't love you more, but now you've offered me the right to the lie in til 9am my body naturally demands and you are now officially a saint.
I’m an early riser, naturally. I stumble into the kitchen grab coffee and sit by the fire (depending on the season) or go in my backyard to have coffee. I’m rarely productive in the morning 😏
"Simmer in my own smell" ha ha!!
My mom's mantra: "Boredom is the Energy it Takes to Suppress Creativity."
Great quote.
That's deep.
I can relate.
Ur mom needs to reframe her thinking:
Boredom is the energy it takes to revive oneself.
For people who don’t appreciate 25-5 mins pomodoro proportions (it’s disruptive for my hyper focus), you could also do 47min of work & 14mins break. Yet my favourite is 1.5hrs+ of undisruptive focus with occasional side quests, because I have to use the energy when I got it
Yess I usually use the 25/5 to convince myself to get started on things I don't feel like starting on. But after 1-3 cycles I'm warmed up and ready to dive in for a 45-90 minute uninterrupted deep-work interval
@@mossymindful oh. I love that!
“Remember how we all used to sit on the toilet and stare at the tile floor” brought me back and now I’m feeling a strange kind of comfort nostalgia about that lol
FUCK, I love you hahah. This dat real shit. 💜Every time I see those morning routine videos where people are up at 5am, hitting the gym, having protein shakes and fruit, I'm like "they're all liars, right?"
Right, and they're all recycling the same routine from all the other influencers who "fake it till they make it."
Rain is absolutely a reason to slow down and enjoy simple things
So Tim ferris had a woman on names Maria popova, she's nutso productive and has built one of the most successful blogs out there in 2 years time. She is brilliant, reads like 5 books a week or something. On that podcast she said something really smart, that she doesn't like to plan because planning brings you out of the present. I took that and changed my routine to just taking like 5 minutes to plan my day and my life has been totally changed. It is crazy how bad planning makes you feel.
I love this. I've kind of accidentally ended up with the same conclusion. Planning too intensely brings me a lot of anxiety, makes me feel miserable, and I end up shackled to an idea of my day that I don't actually want and almost never actually accomplish. I wouldn't say I'm any more "productive" doing things this way (thought I guess it depends on how you define that term) but I am definitely a whole lot happier and more focused on the things that are truly important to me.
6:35 🎶"A bevrage goblin needs at least three drinks at a time" 🎶
Hello, from a fellow beverage goblin!
Ditto! Hello fellow goblins! ☕ + 🥤+ 🥛 👋🏻 😂
Hahah is this a song???
At the end of our lives, no one is going to give anyone a prize for executing their days in a picture-perfect way. We all need a custom-fit life as much as possible. As long as you are getting things done, it doesn't matter what time you did it.
As far as sleep . . . girl, I need 10 hours of sleep per night. Have been this way my whole life and refuse to apologize. 😘
I love your flower re-arranging. What a gorgeous way to spend your five minute breaks!
With you on the 10 hours and am taking the refusing to apologize and putting that into practice too...
Wow I aspire to be able to get 10 hours of sleep... I have trouble procrastinating getting to bed. I have a similar wake up time as Caroline but since I am only productive after 11PM, I stay up to work a lot. I hope I can get in the habit to get 8 hours of sleep!
@@NEdler22 I once said to a friend, "I need more sleep than other people." He said, "No, other people need less sleep." It was a subtly different way to look at it by making other people the outliers. 🙃🙂
@@thebonniewong I know that sleep procrastination thing quite well. 😴
And you know what? Some days things don't have to be done. These days are precious too
I work with antique books and we often find antique flowers pressed in the pages. My favorites are ferns. The flowers always leave a slight acid burn on the pages, so we also see books that we know once had ferns pressed in them because of the fern-shaped acid burn lol. You could stick some extra paper on either side of the flowers to protect the books (somewhat).
You somehow did it again Caroline! Not only are you authentically yourself, you also have made me feel more at peace with accepting my needs and routines that are just for me and my wellbeing (not saying I can’t improve in some areas of my life, but understanding I don’t need to feel like I need to be someone I’m not)
This is actually very useful to me, believe it or not. As is, my morning routine:
1.) Wake up. Regret it.
2.) Hungry?: N
3.) Coffee?: N
4.) Do I care at all?: N
5.) Start work.
6.) Approx 90 mins in, regret not eating or drinking coffee earlier. Too late to turn back now. Resolve to eat and drink coffee next morning.
Next morning: Repeat steps 1-6.
Lol
honestly i would watch this video
@@Caroline_Winkler I would title it "I Have No Mouth, And I Must Yawn."
I absolutely lost it when the morning journal reveal was a bunch of angry scribbles, the most genuine feelings were captured without need for any poetic musings at all! 😂
I love sitting down and drinking tea and staring into the nothingness out the window in the morning. During the days that I do get around to doing it, I usually have a great day. 💚
I can TOTALLY relate to your "moping hour". I always tell people that I have to EASE into my day😅 I'm definitely not one who can wake up and immediately start the day. I wanna put the day off as long as I reasonably can😂
Hi, I was just thinking about you. Tell your sis my husband finished her book. He’s a huge Shakespeare follower. He loved her book! Impressive.
I love the book and have been recommending it to others, but a lot of people find it a strange subject...I think it's fascinating!
that is amazing!!! (SHE is amazing). i'm so glad he loved it!
OMG! I am 57 and have NEVER been a morning person. Sure, I did it when I worked full-time, but I never loved it. Now, I sell on ebay from home, so I go to bed @midnight, and wake uo at 0900-0930. If you actually TELL people that, they act like you’re committing a mortal sin! Guess what though? I can manage to pull “all day-ers”. Most people who get up at 4-5am NEED a nap…they conveniently leave that part out. My sis in law asked me why I would miss a sunrise, because Karen, the full moon last night was freaking stunning!
Lol after waking up at 10:30am today this video is indeed the vibe
I would always beat up on myself for not being a morning person but actually it’s worked out as a mom. I handle the nights and my husband who is a morning person does morning shift. We team it to achieve it. Celebrate your gifts and let’s be grateful we are all different! ❤
I’m always happy to see a notification saying Caroline winkler uploaded a new video. ❤
I just realised that my favourite videos of yours are your "life hacks" for normal people! Be it breakup tips, cleaning tips or this!
The pomodoro method saved me my last year of uni! I used an app called forest, where you plant lil trees and flowers with each focus session, giving you a tangible and visual reward for your efforts. The gamification was key for me. Can't recommend it enough!
wow i love the sound of that app
Amish wouldn’t have the ruffles and frills. Cute clothes, great ideas!! The best is your brutal honesty.
oo that is a very good point. maybe it's more victorian. whatever it is, i love it and my sister will definitely mock me
@@Caroline_Winkler prairie chic?
Thank you for making me feel normal.
Me watching this in Australia at 5am absolutely knowing I'm going back to sleep afterwards until about 9
Editing in this video was bang on!
You are now the jenna marbles of this generation of youtube and I'm loving it 🥲
I just want to say thank you. I am a mom to a toddler, full time student, and work as a bartender 3 nights a week. I do feel myself subconsciously comparing my morning routine and productivity to 22 year old childless influencers 😅 bartending really messes with my mornings but I think I mostly counteract that by being productive when I come home at 10:30-11 pm since my baby is asleep
Yep...this will all change for this sweet girl when she has her first baby.
The next step for me after not optimizing for productivity is replacing that with prioritizing REST throughout the day. I think thats part of the reason pomodoro works so well, we need to recharge! Normalize taking breaks and refilling your cup instead of working until you have absolutely nothing left. Especially with a chronic illness, this is the only way I can operate at all. Great video as always, Caroline. 😊
I feel like pomodoro gives me five minutes to create space between hyperfocusing so that I can recognize that I need to take a break ya before burnout. And the space gives me a better perspective on when to call it a day. To make better tade offs about my time and energy. And it's like a lure because I say "it's only 25 minutes to commit to..."
The candle blow out SHOOK me 😂 Queen👸🏻
hahahah. what if i told you i did like 5 takes of that
❤The morning routine starts the night before.
The way you presented this is pure genius! Finding your own rhythm and not comparing yourself to the perfect lifestyle and not feeling guilty for it, just awesome. Once I gave up sugar in my morning drink and on cereal, I couldn’t have anything sweet until after 11am or I’d feel sick. Haven’t enjoyed breaky since. When I ruminate, I find saying out loud exactly what I’m doing at that point stops it, like picking up a fork to wash, etc. ❤
aw im so glad you liked it! it took a lotttt of filming before i could figure out what the video needed to be. i filmed the whole morning routine and it felt like something was missing. so then i went back the next day and filmed all the "fake/ideal" routines to layer in, and that felt much more fun!
@@Caroline_Winkler Know what you mean. When I wrote a book it didn’t seem to come together until about 75% of it was written so I see and appreciate the amount of work you put into each video.
Probably the most realistic thing I've seen on youtube! And never a Caroline video without smiling/ laughing all the way through, you make me feel better every time! ❤
I gotta say, my eye immediately went to the basket of dirty laundry @9.55 that Caroline stored inside of her nonworking fireplace and it makes me love this small space living Queen even more than I thought possible. She's like if a Jane Austen heroine was also a city dweller on a budget, you know?
I thought I was the only one who mopped first thing as my "meditation"!! I get up at 8:30, let the dogs out and then crawl back into my bed (with my morning agnst...yes, we cuddle together) & either fall back to sleep for an hour or quietly debate why my life is perfectly fine and I am so unaware that it is. 😙 Love, love those dresses on you!! Your sponsors are the ONLY ones I actually save and use. You have incredible taste, like me. 😘
So into the flower pressing! I went on a trip to Arkansas with some friends for the eclipse recently and bought a Robert Frost book solely for flower pressing. I was sneezing the entire trip but I’m so happy to have a tangible memory from the trip (:
Loving the realism 🙏🏼
I'm obsessed with the little orange dress and the Amish one after it. I'd love more fashion content from you and also this video was so appreciated. realistic expectations of yourself are the moment

Love what you're doing on your site...Suggestion: when you press the flowers, consider putting a blank piece of paper on either side of the flowers , so the pollen and moisture from the flowers don't stain or ruin your beautiful books. I find that helps a lot.
ah you are so right! i just noticed ive been making this mistake. thank you!
@@Caroline_Winkler Your videos are an amazing work of art. I don't think you've left the acting career behind at all. You're just using your talent in other ways--in the "new medium" of RUclips. Only, instead of playing a character, you're just being yourself. As you aptly noted in another video, the challenge is to keep being one's authentic, honest (and a tiny bit fearful) self.
Yet, to paraphrase Shakespeare, "all the world's a stage," and aren't we all characters in our own dramas anyway?
before i watched this video I was watching a morning routine of another youtuber and had to stop 2mins in coz it filled me with so much anxiety that I'm not a 'productive, 6am girly, meditating and journalling etc"... and then i watched this video and immediately felt at home, at ease. you helped me feel seen and validated Caroline, and for that I thank you 🧡
Caroline!! Just 2 minutes in and you’re killing me. Wisdom with humor and authenticity?
Yes, please.
O. Em. Gee. Must I thank you for this vlog...? Yes. I feel this so much. I refuse to journal in the morning. I am just trying to wake up and get my bearings around myself! Hello, Me!
Journaling actually makes me focus on the negative instead of the positive "shiz-i-nit" going on in my life.
The gratitude journal is more helpful, fo' sho' but...
Being lazy waking up...and... the "souls" of my feet finding the cool spots on my blanket... HEAVEN!
Comfort is QUEEN.
Looking into the void is my favourite morning routine
Same. I’m brain dead until after at least 1/3 of my coffee 😂
Lol😅
Every morning...even when I have to get up at 6 30 I always spend a half hour....no phone.... moping with coffee first.
Идея с прессоваными цветами просто великолепна! Это просто чудо, что Caroline сейчас поделилась этой идеей - мы не могли придумать что повешать над диваном в гостиной, и мама прекрасно выращивает цветы - идеальное сочетание! ❤
On my self-compassion journey, I'm working on accepting being inconsistent. Some days, I'll get up and feel motivated enough to read or take a walk. Other days, all I can do is make coffee and oatmeal for breakfast and stare out the window and vibe. Both are acceptable and normal and good!
Oh yeah, I established that Wednesday is the say that I'm not obligated to do anything. Because there were some Wednesdays where I could do nothing, so I thought to formalize it. It works well!
I was lamenting to my husband literally 2 days ago that the routine videos I used to enjoy are just so un-relatable and unrealistic. As a budding solo-preneur starting my own interior design journey, this is the most relatable morning routine I’ve ever watched, and it made me feel a lot better- I also find staring into the void a necessary part of my “process” and can’t wake up early for the life of me haha. Thank you for making content that reflects real life! ❤
Egg in the hole is also my favorite breakfast 😂🍳
Thank you for reminding us that not all humans are 5am-journaling-productive-workhorses. And now I’m emotionally invested in the potential of these NUBS. 😂❤
thank you for being the only person to appreciate the nubs. i was losing my mind during that call
Listen to your sister… The Amish stress really has to go…😂. All of the other dresses are darling on you.❤. Love the sweats/jogger. Got up at 5.30 this morning to binge-watch Caroline Winkler, using the pomodoro method. Already had my coffee, two loads of laundry and I cut the dead flowers in my garden. Let’s see what wonders the next 5 min break holds 🌈
THANK YOU
I have so many expectations of what mornings have to be. And I struggle to not give up when I inevitably don't meet my own stupid expectations.

I have a mopping hour too in the morning 😂
I tell my kids “ mommy is having coffee time. “
You’re my twin. My kids know Mommy’s coffee time is sacred. I have at least a 45 minute buffer before anything starts or can be demanded of me.
Thanks Caroline! I'm PMSing like crazy today and so far my day has been about crying, folding my laundry and washing the dishes aha. I love your unapologetic personality, you're a quirky older sister to me❤
Oooo bbgrl I feel you for the pms! It can be the worst! And every month??? I’m over it. Hope u do something nice for yourself today ❤
I love this so much
Your honesty is so healing, like a sigh of relief. Absolutely LOVE and NEED the sitting on the couch staring into space time. I like getting up before everyone else just so I can be alone and have that time. The journaling I do like in the morning I've been trying recently that seriously helps my highly active mind and all the anxious thoughts is brain dumping, where nothing at all is required to make sense, or be pretty, or polite, or ever be read by anyone else's eyes or make sense to anyone else...just the jamboree of thoughts spewed out on the paper so i'm not holding in my mind all day. Thank you so much Caroline ❤
I have morning anxiety and 10 minute meditations and stretches, e.g. from the Calm app, in bed, helped immensely. Not for everyone, but it changed my life for the better. ❤
Your honest and real self is not even just a breath but a GASP of fresh air for us all. I fall prey to trying to have my own perfect morning routine that would look completely excessive and weirdly late to most people. But I just have to say that your 8:30/9am wake up time is the most validating and helpful, honest things I've heard someone share in quite a long time (maybe sad for us as a whole, but true). I already loved your personality and videos, and this was just a whole new level of real and actually quite brave. There's too much curation and glossing over realness these days, and you are NOT that and I adore it. Thanks for sharing this with us and for taking the time to make these videos.
Decision making takes up energy. By embracing the small things you can make better decisions at more important times.
Try using your pressed flowers for journaling. Just washi tape them right in there ☺ it’ll bring you so much joy!
I have never related to a human so much I my life. Absolutely love watching your videos 😭🩷 your raw humor kills me. I have been told my whole life I am a goof and it never felt in a good way, and you have definitely made me more confident in just being myself! I will be going to law school this fall as a big ole goof girl. That’s right! Idc! I shall dance to the funky waiting phone music in my room!
Thank you for making a video which made me feel like a normal human being. The end part where you said that the rainy weather made you feel lazier than you should be.. that's me with rainy/greyish weather all.the.time - and, mind you, I live in northern Germany so that's basically my life for like 7 months/year.
You are my favorite person on RUclips, thanks for your videos and real-ness!
Snooze 7 times then spend 30-40 minutes half asleep in the shower before rushing to the office 20 minutes late
not a water conservationist eh?
@@fremont111 no need to where I'm at, we have no water shortage
I’m a 58 year old woman who really needed to hear this!!! I can’t wait to try the Pomodoro Method. You are way too mature for your age…Love it❤️
Same, 😂😍
Thank you so much Caroline 😊
I been on burn-out for almost 2 years.
You have help me a lot, without knowing , merci beaucoup! 😉
I never really understood all of these morning routine videos. Thank you for showing a realistic one.
I have to wake up early as heck at 5am, hop in the shower, eat fast and then go get in my car as fast as i can and drive to work.
There is no way I'm getting up earlier than what i need to just to waste my prescious sleep time to have a hot drink and stare at nothing, or to write in a journal, or read, or stretch or exercise. I'm fing tired!!! I'll do all of that when i get home when I'm not tired and I can enjoy my time and not worry about being late for work.
Thank you for all the lessons in this video.
I have my alarm clock set to 7 am, at 8 I’m still in bed, feeling like a looser and ashamed of myself, then going out from bed is more difficult. At 9 I’m already late to whatever I wanted to do and I feel sad, angry and exhausted for the rest of my day.
From now on I’ll do your morning routine. Love you ❤
I love this so much lol. I started voice journaling. I can do it while I’m sitting at my desk working or if I decide to go for a walk. I wanted to journal for a really long time, but I got stuck on the idea that I had to write it all down. So I just didn’t do it. Now I do and it’s so much better because I use voice to text or I can keep audio files. And it searchable and I can include pictures if I want to.
It’s been about a month since you dropped into my feed and I’ve been binging your videos ever since that blessed day! A million thank yous for all that you share. Your delivery is so authentic, your thoughts resonate with me on so many levels and are such a pleasure to watch. You are seriously helping me out of my self-induced paralysis.🥹 Best, B xx
I live for the morning rot. Is it unhinged that I get up an hour earlier than absolutely necessary for my job? Yes. But if being a 4:45 AM person means I get to stare into the void, drinking coffee, contemplating my woes, under a hot shower, then by god I accept this type of un-hinging
i'm recently claiming and finding pride in my laziness and love seeing my community represented
The only “morning routine” video that is worth watching lately. ❤
I am literally you right now coffee in hand on the couch staring into your RUclips channel except I’m still in bed at 9 am. Moping hour. It’s brilliant and cozy. I love it.
I was literally sitting down to take notes (by hand) on that video. Insanely relatable, good video as usual.
I don't relate to boredom as a prerequisite for new ideas or creativity. My brain doesn't really seem to work right without some kind of stimuli, one of the many reasons I think I've got ADHD, but I still have a moping hour. I really like the idea of staring at a design book though instead of my phone while I work on achieving optimal caffeination in the morning. I can't really relax without something interesting to engage with. A lot of this is really great advice.
I just found your channel, hooked me in with the "clean with me or I'll slap you" as my motivation to clean before finding this video, then lead me to repeating my usual morning routine which is so similar to yours I teared up with relief feeling like a normal human instead of a huge failure who can't be a carbon copy of those other perfect clean routine videos! Thank you for the truth and connection!!!
Brilliant. Watched at 12pm in pjs. Had to fight my natural tendencies for years in a corporate career and now I won't tolerate calls or real life/anything until 12pm. I watch RUclips morning routines for comedy and cackle my way through them. Loved this video. Gonna re-vase my flowers shortly. I do that too. Big then medium then several little vases. Love it. Thanks Caroline, love your videos.
And here’s instance 483 of Caroline helping me feel “seen” and validated. I’m the same way when not having to conform to the pressures of society, like my high school spawn who require sustenance to survive the high school day. Otherwise it would be an 8:30-9 wake up and meandering for an hour or two before doing life. I love the time management pro-tip. I do something similar but work a little longer with about 10-15 minute breaks. I will try the higher frequency breaks to see if it keeps my frequency higher too!
And your brother’s vases are beautiful. Cheers!
Yesss! Thank you for a very normal and relatable morning routine!
