- Season of Discovery, Classic World of Warcraft with a twist, has entered phase 2 with a new raid, new pvp event and a level cap increase to 40. We also got a brand new epic profesion questline which last time had a fair bit of speculation going. Is Xal'atath really out there? Lets discuss!

Hey man! Nice video and thank you for all your others. I've been secret hunting the past week and your videos gave me the foundation I needed to understand the lore implications. With that said, there's still a lot you missed. :)
Xal'atath's non-shadowy figure can be seen with Shadowed Unit Frames, 100% confirming it's her.
When she talks to us at the crystal of light, she mentions that she is disappointed with our choice AGAIN. Implying that she may be groundhog daying us Bill Murray style. Using the chaos of the void to corrupt the core timeline.
The entire sleeping bag quest chain is actually INSANE lore wise. The Secret Agents are first found overlooking the Shady Rest Inn. Spoilers: Turns out, there's more going on at the Shady Rest Inn. The shield we find at the dam in Loch Modan is the same Grim Totem shield hanging on the walls of the Shady Rest and the sword found propped up behind it on the dam? It hangs on the walls of Theramore keep! Then at the wall, both the shield and sword aren't there, but there is a box of new swords and a shield rack with 3 missing! Both a new model.
This implies that the Shady Rest Inn WAS A SETUP! But weirdly, at the wall outpost there is also a cabinet sectioned in two. On one side, a Dwarven motor launcher, on the other, a jug of some sort of Horde drink with their insignia on it.
So... Why are there both Horde and alliance gear at the outpost?
There's also 4 guns, but only 2 were brought from the dam. With a flying machine on the roof.
And let's not forget that in Sleeping Bag guy's note he is investigating apothecary accidents dealing with NEW PLAGUE. Aka the Forsaken's plague that almost kills the Lich King!
And lastly, Sleeping Bag Bro is working for the Stromgarde. He mentions he works for the Eagle and Fist. Those are the insignia of the Stromgarde!
Lots of big stuff happening my man! And there's even more I didn't type all here! Hmu if you wanna know more. :) I'm pretty sure I was the "worlds first" Shady Rest Inn conspiracy finder lol.
I didn't cover the sleeping bag caus didn't grab recordings/vid was getting quite lengthy but that's super interesting. Gonna have to look into that.
I've tried to look at xal'atath model without shadows, but just end up with the basic classic nigth elf model instead of her more purply void elf self from retail. Obviously caus of different hairstyles, but if you got a 1 on 1 comparison I'd love to see it. The groundhog day might be true or referance to part 1 of the quest where we require bit of convincing before accepting her aid?
@@Nobbel87 I got screenshots of pretty much every single piece of lil flavor Blizzard added to guide us. I'll throw it all in one big debrief for ya. It's the least I can do in return for all these awesome lore videos! :D
I really enjoy this type of story telling. I was addicted to Fromsoft games lore for a long time lol. Crazy to think I've been playing WoW since OG TBC as a kid, probably put in 10k hours since then, and I never cared about the lore until I stumbled upon a giant hidden conspiracy while trying to find that LOBSTER MOUNT!! Hahahahaha
wow a great lore presentation, and a cheeky raid guide thrown in the middle too, ty Nobbel! Playing SOD super casual, only lvl21 so far, so appreciate the boss breakdown for when I get there. Hope you're doing good
There is also a storyline unfolding with the orb that you find for the paladin divine storm rune and the warlock meta rune. The quest you embark to find the Sheath of Light rune makes you find a paladin who knows about these orbs and has a secret partner chasing them.
So great to hear lvl60(50rn) etc again 😍
Phase one there is a reference to Bwonsamdi, at least for undead priests doing the Troll meditation quest.

Also, the corrupted core? Guess Alex finally got what he wanted, instead of the Tainted Core xD
1 of the p2 paladin runes is super interesting with refrences to (probably tirion), and more crystals like the 1 that ashbringer was made out of.
The rune is Sheath of Light, which has a long questline involving saving a former paladin of the silver hand who has the dialogue i'm refering it.

Do they really not let you use the new models in classic? Do people get nostalgia for ugly?
Again I want to re-iterate. Xal’atath did not exist in Classic. Blizz adding her to a game mode of people living in the past feels soo very wrong. Do I care if a rogue can tank and mages can heal? No, go nuts. Have fun using the same spells we’ve all been using for ages. Creating a new lore story where it doesn’t belong, well where are the bronze dragons when you need them? Clean-up on isle Classic. Again? Yup, and bring the heavy-duty sand this time!
I don't know man, we talk about "Blizzard" as if it had anything to do with the former Blizz that we knew. 90% of employees who made Blizzard such an insanely good company are gone. Now we have to take in what these hateful new people produce. People that very often showed their hatred against their old playerbase. Against white males, metalhead culture(my vanilla server was 80% metalheads, now it's 80% normies), they bring in politics into the lore (lgbtq), anything that goes against mainstream narratives is hated by them (they tried to throw out Horde employees who refused the thing in 2021).
I don't think the new Blizzard is anything like it was even 10 years ago.
