Great doc NEFSA. Great job to the Gary, Glen, Jerry and Bonnie....and Andrew Joyce is a blessing to our New England fishing industry!! Let's all show up at the New England Fisheries Management Council meeting in Freeport, June 27-29 to make comment..........NEYFA will be there!!

I'm kind of skeptical of the NEFSA. They sprung into existence just 4 months ago. Their mission statement is to opposite the "industrialization" of the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic coast, yet the only industrialization they seem to oppose are wind turbines. Not offshore oil drilling? Not pollution?

@@11111110 There's no offshore oil drilling planned for New England that I'm aware of. Just thousands of skyscraper sized turbines that will be drilled into the sea mounts by oil companies under new "green" monikers, which stand to impact us with a ton of pollution that has never been visited upon us before now.

@@andrewj.9118 Really? Wind turbines produce more pollution than offshore drilling and fossil fuel plants?

NEFSA opposes offshore drilling and supports a healthy and clean ecosystem. Offshore wind just happens to be the industry poised to steamroll both right now and that's why they highlight opposition to dirty green energy.

The creation and installation of wind turbines uses huge amounts of fossil fuels and coal powered energy. Fact.

Interesting and if you are not from around here there's so much info to avail yourself. We need to take care of our fisheries or soon enough they won't be around.

I think the only way to save the fishing industry is to get rid of the politicians who have nothing more than a political science degree and no since of an education about the fishing industry.
