That guy has leadership and entertainer written all over him! great performance !
that “guy” is currently BCH of the Rosemont Cavaliers
@@rylandcook5301 damn why you being so salty? Carla is complimenting him god.
now he’s brass caption head at bluecoats
He's a cool dude, taught in Japan for a while after aging out / graduating
@@oliturnup NO WAY?!?!?
Hey, it's that baritone guy who sang a thing in that show! Hi that baritone guy who sang a thing in that show!
Kevin.
Hey, it's Kevin! Hi, Kevin! (I swear, people with the name 'Kevin' do all the cool things)
Lebouef.
This is what they do on the little bit of free time they have, and yet they still sound like a million bucks.
Started watching this expecting it to be a formal thing but then the first thing they play is mos eislei cantina song and I started laughing and I loved it
Crown had a great standstill performance. Excellent musicians!
Their blend and balance is incredible
Lol don't rush that was great
*someone in the background* "drumline....
YEP
So sad that it took me 8 years to find this. But SO GLAD I did! 80’s child, so I love Star Wars and Phil Collins! BRAVO!!! ❤️👍👍 Side note, I was in band with Matt Harloff at IU his freshman year. ❤️🤍
Kevin should be a Southwest Flight Attendant when he ages out. He just needs to.
He needs to be the US President. He's awesome!
is he the narrator in crown 2013
Geatle he was I believe
DCI today has some great talent, but when the hell are corps going to get beyond their nuthuggers fascination... rather not have bulges staring me in the face...
I guess its okay for wresting but not the marching arts.
Just to save people time. Cantina Band, Something Happened on the Way to Heaven by Phil Collins, Sussidio by Phil Collins, and Flight of the Bumblebee.
Thx!
You forgot “Take Me Home” by Phil Collins after “Sussudio”. 😉
That's some damn good brass playing. The only times any of those sections sounds like more than one instrument is when they split, and even then it's more like two of the same person than 4 or 5.
Just watch the tuba player on the right side around the 4:40 mark haha. I love this corps so much XD
If only he dropped it
When its too easy you got to bring up the challenge or one up the other tuba.
HOW DO YOU BALANCE A CONTRA ON YOUR SHOULDER WITH NO HANDS?!
Bone-Tone Lord Be awesome? I think that's how he did it.
Contras are balanced to be at the point where the mouthpiece touches the face as well as he's probably guiding it with his mouth
Truthfully Yamaha's are the only contras that are actually balanced enough to do so. Kings and Jupiters are extremely bell heavy and would fall straight on the ground if you tried to balance it with no hands.
I actually had that same tuba player tech when I marched Crossmen. We couldn't stop balancing out contras
@@fiorae_rae you can get away with it with a Jupiter if you have it at a big angle to your left
This was an awesome sound. PrecisIon harmony and ensemble. I with St Rita's Brassmen in 1969. Nothing is more rewarding than to hera the sounds harmonies and quality of the hornline. That why i loved hon rehearsal as much as the shows, Great job !!!! keep DCI alive!!!!!!!!iperfectooe
I think they have the Jim Ott award in the bag.
Colin Armstrong yes but they have won it 3 times since.
Verrrrrry close second to blue devils insane show, I think crown 14’ was a harder show to perform and a harder brass book
Literally the first bumblebee song was played better than any middle/high school band could. XD
Daniel Shemesh well this is Carolina crown, they should play everything better than any other high school or college band should be able to
Well middle/high school, but same difference
@@kingsley4261 yeah but they tried to play it bad
Thank you, DrumCorpsTube for recording this and posting it on RUclips.
It’s priceless.
I never grow tired of Crown's Flight of the Bumblebee. It's just so effing impressive!!!!!
It still amazes me on how clean and articulate Carolina is. The hornline caption head is a god among teaching. And credit to the handfuls of talent in that hornline. Bravo!
that Sussudio rendition was awesome! Great sounding hornline.
I could watch this forever
You guys are awesome. Shows how great Carolina Crown is. Go Crown!
I want to do this song for this year at 5 minutes
ThatWasSexy
You played that solo in the 2017 ballad really well
RUclips should monitor this porn content more carefully
Do you think it bothers Kevin that we all know him by name?
It sounded like Dylan, not Kevin
Omega_Ronan his name is Kevin Leboeuf, not Dylan
His face when the audience couldn't keep time is definitely me when I'm conducting and the band rushes.
The third trumpet player from the center is beautiful.
What an incredible hornline!
This is still a lot of fun to watch. Clean fun, good musicianship and interaction with the audience.
This is what drum&bugle corps is ALL ABOUT, playing RECOGNIZABLE fun tunes that keeps the crowd "ENTERTAINED" and wanting to attend another show.
Thanks for uploading this as well.
Thanks dci for yore the greatest interteners thanks very biutipule thanks
CROWN ROCKS! they seem like so much fun!!!
This is so awesome!!
I REMEMBER THIS FIELD, ONE OF MY FAV STADIUMS
Wait you like our field?
Hey I was at this show too! Love your videos!
How the hell do you balance a contra on your shoulder. He must be a god
The blonde trumpet girl in the center is just perfect!
God never created anything better than a beautiful female trumpet small group superstar
John Aconcha who even is she? does anyone know?
You guys sound great!
I love these uniforms!
When he balanced the tuba on his shoulder it kinda looked like he had a tuba for a head
I would’ve sat through the entire performance of the field show just to hear that.
You’d think fans of DrumCorps would be able to keep time haha 😂
did the guy who leads this age-out recently?
Patrick Foit yeah. He aged out after this season.
Es hermoso 🥰
These guys might sound better than future corps, who were professional musicians paid to rehearse and perform. How they pulled this off during the drum corps season with extremely limited rehearsal time is beyond me. Absolutely incredible sound
6:55 contras are killing it.
I was there! Loved sue sue sudio!
Hell Yeah! I love you guys man! SU SU SUDIO
these kids are great
I was so enamored with the sound, hijinx, and uniforms, I almost forgot to like it.
Lol Kevin's face at 2:26
my guy should be drum major, he has some serious leadership skills.
he was this past season
@@frankcabrito7984 really? dang, guess i never noticed. was he still dm?
Logic Velocity yes ! he was head dm in pretty sure
cool..fantastic ensamble..
Yas
yessss phil collins
Who thumbs down this hornlike? People who didn't march Corps! GTFOOH!
6:35 @BD17
Actually that's Flight of the bumblebee which is a piece NOT just written by the Bluedevils it's just a piece they used 👍
that's my high school
French Hornss same
French Hornss I'm a baritone
Jacob Diaz yo same wtf small world
Who is on mellophone in this video? Are they instructing now?
Nearly every member you see here is now an instructor, at some level, for the performing arts
what is the name of these songs?
What songs are they playing
Muito Bom (:
What song is being played after cantina band? I like the beat
"Something Happened on the Way to Heaven" by Phil Collins with a little "Sussudio" by Phil Collins mixed in.
Name of the 2:20 minute song?
I see you Ryan, sneaking in the OU during Sue Sue! Boomer
does anybody know what is the second song?
Sussidio by Phil Collins
why does he hold the mic like that
Some same things from last year, still nice to watch.
That thick bass line and only two tubas...nut
what are the songs?
+Aeriel Springer Cantina Band, Something Happened on the Way to Heaven by Phil Collins, Sussidio by Phil Collins, and Flight of the Bumblebee.
what kind of tuba is that
contra
wrong. Contra's were around in G.. they aren't used anymore. That's a marching tuba.
+Eric Lozaga No, contra is the name of it. the full technical name is Contrabass Marching Bugle.
not a bugle. It's a marching tuba. They used Yamaha that year right? Either way.. those are Marching Tubas.
They are technically marching tuba, but the name contra is still commonly used. Thats why its still called a contra line and not a tuba line.
Splooie
"Dude." XD
Yo at 6:30 metamorph before it was cool
Before sussudio
They traveled in time and stole from bd 2017
Ugly uniforms.
