- Hey everyone! After the first episode of Season 10, Bill has really grew on me. I didn't like her that much in the short Introduction video because the dialogue was waaay to cheesy. Now she's just incredibly relatable and gorgeous! I might even believe it was not actually Moffat who wrote that childish dialogue in the video.. (the intro I'm talking about is • Introducing the New Co... )
Bill's story with Heather is, even after all those cheesy effects, really going somewhere I think. Maybe Bill/Pearl will leave the show after she has found Heather. How great would it be if we saw Clara again? Because seriously, it seems like Moffat has plotted the entire series arc around Bill looking for Heather which is basically a mirror for Twelve looking for Clara.
Anyway, I've got high hopes for this season. Still miss Clara so much though. Just.. The way we could Twelve VIBRATE around her. He was so happy and fulfilled and just enjoying life. Something is empty about him now, like that story of the princess unable to sleep because of one bean under her sheets. Peter is an amazing actor and can definitely convey what 12's heart is secretly broken about.. The way he just screams at Bill for no reason when he decides to not wipe her memory shattered my heart. He is so hurt, so hurt.. Well, it's a big universe, and maybe one day he'll find his Clara again.

I'm so happy with this video. One of the saddest things about Clara's departure was how the door was so firmly shut in the Doctor's life. He can't have pictures of her on his desk like River or Susan, doesn't have a tomb stone, like with Amy. Can't pop by to see how she's getting on as with Sarah Jane, Martha or even Donna. He effectively was robbed of a chance to properly grieve, as were we. And it was brilliant, but it was painful. And I was so worried the showrunners wouldn't make reference to Clara, as with the Christmas special where the Doctor mentioned losing someone only for it to be River he was talking about. But then her theme started playing and Bill made that comment, and it felt so right. So right that it is BECAUSE of what happened with Clara that Bill is allowed to keep her memories. And, ultimately, become a companion.
Proper way to pads the torch, in my opinion. Showing that even gone and forgotten, Clara has forever left her mark.
Min-Lee Macdonald completely agree. Clara might not be here but her effect on the Doctor, her soulmate, has been there since his childhood and she will have an impact on him forever. If Moffat has done only one good thing in his run with Doctor Who, it is the bond he has created with the Doctor and the character of Clara. Very funny, in fact, because in Series 7 she was only there to develop the plot. So I also believe we have Peter to thank here. Without his and Jenna's amazing chemistry, the bond would never be this strong.

I swear to christ, Bill may as well have just gutted me with a corkscrew. The tears were instant when she said those words, first time watching that episode. ;^; I think, after everything the Doctor has suffered through, recently, Bill is just the kind of company he needs.

A gasped at the part where you cut together Bill saying "She was inviting me to fly away with her" and then Clara asking Twelve the same thing. That was brilliant. I didn't see that parallel the first time watching. Lovely and so sad. Great video!
Yeah! I love also how that's a perfect inversion of the pre-Clara "Doctor and Companion" dynamic! Superficially you'd think it's the Doctor inviting Clara to fly away with, but by the time we reach Hell Bent they're so entwined in each other, and Clara basically comes into her own as the Doctor.
OH GOD, when you matched 12's lecture to his times with Clara, 'the time when you fall in love'- that look. oh this video has to be one my favorites. it's done so well. the parallels. i really really miss clara.

"the day you fall in love" i like to believe that the moment The Doctor fell in love with Clara was during the snowmen kinda like a "love at first sight" and Clara did when she saw him from her window in the bells on St John. Although it's obvious that Oswin and The Doctor had something going on in the Asilyum of Daleks. They're just so in love and this is beautiful to watch (especially with the 12th) I love this video way too much btw
Auri Oswin I agree but I wanted to have all clips in that sequence with Twelve so I decided to use the Orient Express scene :) I feel like it's one of the first times you can really see the love and longing in his eyes

AWWW STOP. YOU did an amazing job!!!! I absolutely loved it, so did a lot of people. There's definitely some resemblance between Clara and Heather.... but I didn't really believe the chemistry between Bill and Heather, but the parallels were really there.
to tears seriously. I don't know how you did it with Parallels and dialogues to convey the relationship of the Twelfth and Clara. indeed the reference to Clara pushed ill and I sincerely hope that Clara at least references will appear in the season.
Scandium Thank you! I really hope so as well. I find something so subtly bittersweet about Twelve and Clara. Small references are one of the best things that fits their love story that is tiny and cute and epic and grandiose at the same time.
i must say. billy sold me on the mind wipe scene. her anger was so good and subtle.
Here's my idea for the Series 10 finale! So as the Doctor prepares to regenerate when the familiar wheezing noise of the TARDIS can be heard and the diner appears. Ashildr and Clara quickly rush out and Clara cradles the dying Doctor, repeating 'You'll be ok, I know you don't know who I am but once we were very close. Goodbye...' Clara reveals what she had said in the Cloisters in Hell Bent and watches the Doctor regenerate from afar. She then walks into her TARDIS and heads for Gallifrey. Also maybe at the end of the episode after the credits roll we see Clara on Gallifrey asking to be put back on the trap street, giving final closure to the character...

It always takes me a couple of viewings to catch the more subtle details contained in the subtext of Doctor Who episodes, but that's what keeps me watching. You have found still more than I could watching The Pilot the first couple of times. The edits linking past and present; the parallels in language, all so nicely woven with Twelve's great speech about time and life. And your choice of music! Bravo!
You know a video is good when it hits you in the feels. The poignancy of Bill's desperation (her voice cracking) to save the "only exciting thing to happen to her in her life", and Clara's desperation to save her past - I haven't been able to watch this even once without shedding tears. Not sure when I will. No hurry though.
I've been excited for Pearl's Bill since shortly after she was announced, and I am happy for the acceptance there has been for every aspect of her character. The wheel turns, and the world evolves, whether some want to or not. And that s beautiful.
Will The Doctor find his Impossible Girl before his current incarnation runs out of time? Maybe, but I do like the subtle reminders best. And to that I would also answer with two names: David Tennant and Sarah Jane Smith. I know how David felt about Sarah Jane (I did, too!), and he got to live out his wish of working with her. I bet there is some boy or girl, around 7 or 8 years old, who will one day be The Doctor. And when asked who, of all past companions they would like to work with, I bet they will say "Clara Oswald, or one of her many echoes. And the wheel will turn again.

It's amazing how much emotion Capaldi can truly capture in a simple moment. One moment that can transcend episodes and time. He's honestly the best doctor to ever bear the name and I will be very very sad when he leaves.

I think what am going to miss is the beautiful speeches Capaldis doctor comes out with. The chemistry between him and Bills character was a true reboot start. I adored him and Clara. It is sad to see how everyone who gets close to him he ends up losing. Absolutely brilliant video. The mind wipe 😣 Omg. Truly heart breaking. Keep up the great work. Your videos are magnificent. Damn! Sometimes it hits me like a hammer. When I am not prepared. Then I run into a video with Capaldi as the twelfth Doctor and Clara and Bill, which I don't know yet, and then the tears spring from my eyes because I miss them so much, especially the Doctor and Clara, who simply were unbeatable together. I mourn about, what I was not allowed to see: the episodes that they couldn't play, because the episodes weren't even written. It's just too sad.

In my language are two words. :3 "krásné" and "překrásné". "Krásné" means beautiful. And "Překrásné" is difficult to translation but it means "something what is more than "krásné". Something what is over "krásné". This is překrásné :3 If i see this in official DW.. It became my favourite scene :3
