If the Special Flight Rule traveling North is 4,500 feet...yet you can't travel more than 2,000 feet above GSL, how would that work? Or am I misunderstanding the flight level the Sport Pilot can travel at in the Icon?

The big boys are the real risk, its hard for them to spot a small plane. Of course guess who would get told off....
