I am just learning the guitar at 45 years of age, and always wanted to play this song. Thank you so much for your perfect instruction! You make it so simple.
dude you crack me up my guitar teacher twenty ears ago had a real dry/dull personality and you, your very annimated its easy to pick up on your passion for music, the only way i made it through my classes all those years ago was my love and passion for music, but you make these little lessons so entertaining man i wish i would of had you as a teacher or at least a teacher with your persona man your vids are my first choice i watch when looking up a song atleast if its one you've done i just thought id let you know that you a very cool instructor man dont ever change haha
I've sung in a choir - ok with a LOT of help around you - but solo takes guts - so I think Justin deserves kudos - he stays on pitch, and as we all know, is one of the finest guitar instructors on the planet.
Excellent video thank you 👍 I've been playing this from when it was released in 1988, I'm self taught so play it slightly different. My best friend at the time absolutely love it and he was an amazing guitarist, unfortunately he passed away and I actually played it at his funeral which was very emotional but I knew he would be looking down and smiling 💙
Some tunes are so bad that they become great! I have nothing but fond memories of this one. Thanks Justin for taking me back to my youth, Me and my band will be adding this to the set list right away......So simple you can play it after 10 pints and it will still sound cool!!!!!.....Cheers Man
Been having issues for years trying to learn to play guitar...i have trouble with scale and remembering things since iv had a stroke back in the day...was young when it happen but..that being said i love your videos on guitar you make it wonderful to learn sir thank you!
Love you man. I got into the school band and my friends love my playing . and trust me, i owe it all to you. and marty too. You all are beautiful people.2 years passed so fast. From learning wake me up when september ends to sunshine of your love! My inspiration. Carry on. :D
I finally took up guitar at 40. Thank you and all the other avid youtube tutors. Without you all, I might have given up in frustration. Cheers and God bless.
It is kinda funny... I am a beginner, and was prowling around youtube, and came across the Cadd9 chord (which I was not familiar with at this stage in my learning), and after playing it once - the first thing that came to mind was this song. Which I have not probably heard in a few years1 LOL. It is a beautiful sounding chord and a new favorite of mine.
Dude your awesome I love your lessons Justin, I learned this song in ten minutes! It's one of my favorite songs of all time and I've been playing guitar for a few years. Right now I'm trying to learn my scales so I can get better at playing lead, do you have any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for posting this.
funny I have been practicing chords and my tyming has been all wrong and I love how you break it down. I think if I stay with your groove here I will get it already starting to shape up thani you.
Been waiting for this lesson, the book is awesome, now looking forward to ballad of Jayne. ( pleasantly surprised to find it in the book ) much love Justin...
Great lesson again Justin, thank you. I’m actually studying this song in your musotopia App (really like the new content by the way), but I thought I’d say thanks in public. Good job. It’s a great song looks and sound simple, and the chord progression is simple, but trying to pull it together with that 16ths strum pattern... wow, that’ll keep me entertained for more than a short while. Same thing but even more so with Queen’s Crazy Little Thing Called love. Any way great lesson, great app, and happy new year. TimC from Brisvagus.
can you do a quick easy lesson of gordon lightfoot - Sundown? There are some lessons but I really like the way you lay it out. Thanks for the great lessons!
Thank you Justin, I am following your lessons to supplement my in person lessons that I have weekly. It is helping me tremendously! I have always wanted to learn how to play this song, so this tutorial is very much appreciated! Love the explanation of the C add nine chord!

Hey Justin. I absolutely love your videos. I've only been playing for about nine months now, but I've gotten a lot further than I would have thanks to your material. Is there any way you could do Ain't No Sunshine by Bill Withers? I've been working on transcribing music myself, but still haven't quite got the hang of it. I'd really appreciate it if you could do a version of that song for us. Thanks for everything!
