Excellent review, please more of that! I own the Tempest in the same size and I can only agree on your verdict.

That Noble & Cooley is terrific! Pearl BLX is a close 2nd.

That Tempest Bell Bronze is ridiculously good. Honorary mentions go to the Pearl and the N&C.

Great video! It's nice to see the big snares getting some love! The drums are beautiful and they all sound amazing. Currently all of my snares are 14x8. Have been playing them with my bug power toms for years even when it wasn't considered cool. Great content man, I'm subscribing.

A year ago I went Gretsch Swamp Dawg, and this bad boy is phat even when tuned mid-high.

Nice collection of fat fawking snare drums buddy!!! I like the same kind 8x14-ludwig,tama.premier,and DW makes more these days,Noble and cooley snares are actually quite common in USA,just expensive for sure old or new.keep doing what you do.

Dont confuse bronze and brass they are not the same alloy , Tama is to blame for this their famous "bell brass" mastercraft snare drum is bronze. All these snare have great sounds and your playing really shows of there many sounds well.

Hi, the Tempest is made of real bell bronze, of course we know about the marketing gimmick on the term bell brass by Tama. Thanks for watching.

All of them sound great That bell brass is hard to beat though! 14x8 is my overall favorite snare drum size :) I just got done completing a custom 14x8 aluminum snare with maple re-rings...sounds great!

I bet that Tempest sounds like it's from another planet live and is lovely to play, but from this video the one I liked the sound of best was the Ludwig! And it's the cheapest too. Time to set up a few alerts on some selling sites...

gotta say Noble and cooley simply because they been making drums since american civil war,and they are works of art,all hardware is made in -house. (love the german and swiss snares but not familiar with them really)suprised you didnt whip out a sonor horst link monster!
