It is also very good for Thomas to take on build things It’s a good asset to have with not having a father figure around and to show the younger boys the mechanic things of life. Super job Thomas
Watching you brings back so many beautiful memories of my childhood with my mom and 9 siblings Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful life with us
Oh my! Your little girl with the baby stroller, baby carrier and baby dolls brought back found memories of my little girls playing with their baby dolls. How sweet! I love when children can play and be creative. 🥰
Thomas being the oldest must like coming to brothers and sisters that are happy to see him I love how all the children love each other and get along so well and also love the Lord. Thank you all. I can’t wait to get to heaven to finally meet you all. God bless you all
Yes, he’s #5 but oldest at home right now. Actually Madalyn is these 5 months she’s home. But yes, he’s been the oldest at home last school year and fun for him to take on that oldest brother role. Fun for the little boys to look up to him and ask him questions about life. Fun for him to teach them science things and building things like you said. You’re right! Thanks for your sweet words. I’m going to pass them along to Thomas.
Lined drapes for your windows .If you can't afford them use old blankets. The kids had them making a tent.I don't know but if you sew you can make your own.Or check at flea markets or yard sales or second hand stores for drapes .Even if they didn't match they will keep the heat in.
Marcy you could put plastic up over the windows in the sunroom to help with heating. There’s a lot of windows so it would probably take a lot of plastic. Maybe tarps would work also, you just wouldn’t be able to see through it. Thomas is a great big brother.
I'm a subscriber but I've never wrote a comment. Your kids in the sun room remind me when I was young 😊. You're blessed with a beautiful family. Keep on smiling . Love your videos. God bless you all. Love from the island of Malta 🇲🇹 ❤❤❤
Thank you! Thank you for subscribing and commenting. Good to meet you! So awesome you live in Malta! Thanks for the encouragement to keep on smiling. It's hard some days so I need it.
Hi Marcie, If y’all would cut your wood a year ahead it sure does burn better. Shock up in the spring and summer months. Clear plastic on your windows would still let the sunshine in, and keep the cold out. God Bless ❤
I was raised with a wood furance and when we had to fill up the woodroom we made change also from woodshed to thewood hatch it was fun and it went faster
My daughter has an outdoor stove which heats her water also. She gets a tractor trailer load of logs and cuts it down and then splits it It is a lot of work too much for me but it saves money instead of getting it cut split and delivered to her house. She drops some on her property but not much
Maybe time to go to good will to buy fabric for curtains. You can even use fabric glue. That drill is better than mine. Love the Boxcar books. Using the chainsaw looks fun. Glad you have it. What a blessing that your home wasn’t in the line of the hurricane.
I have been crocheting soap sacks and fingerless mitts to send to various organizations, also small comfort amigrumis for the children,,,, Maybe be Katelyn could do a few too! HUgs~ Lea
Originally it was a wood stove so I wish it still were. Except there isn’t a place to keep wood next to it and the living room would be dirty with wood chips. Some day it’s my dream to reconfigure a few things to put a big cookstove or wood stove in the middle of the house with a big enough hearth to hold a weeks’ worth of wood and contain the mess.
I’m interested you don’t seem to have many predators trying to eat your chickens. We keep chickens also but don’t freeze range them. They have a coop and fenced yard.
Yes we have predators but mostly at night when our chickens are in their coop. We’ve lost 2 over the years right at dusk because they hadn’t gone in early enough so that’s the time I’m mostly worried about predators. We’ve only had chickens for 3 years so we’re still learning and experimenting. But so far all our losses were when the chickens were in the fence.- either about to go in the coop for the night or when we had locked them in so they’d stay out of our garden when we were planting seeds. We lost 2 to hawks when they were in the fence. We haven’t lost any our free ranging. I think in the fence there are more chickens per square foot and this easier to nab one . Also less places to hide. Free ranging they are all spread out so harder for a hawk to nab. And also lots of bushes to hide under. They also hide under both decks, under the trampoline, under a shed, and in the wood shed if they see a hawk. They seem happier running around the 36 acres all day and have the orangest yolks I’ve ever seen. And my kids are happier with the chickens all over to play with all the time. That’s the lifestyle they want. We’re outside most of the day everyday and chickens are their pets. It’s not for everyone, and we’re still learning (and grumbling when the chickens trample my flowers🤣) but it’s what we’re choosing right now. I have a video on the pros and cons of free ranging. Check it out! ruclips.net/video/-nSgaKR3dKk/видео.htmlsi=tQ4j_Ic2WwAF1w-X
No, I never buy wood. I have lots of acres of down trees and dead trees that need to come down. Somehow a video clip I took on my phone got deleted or disappeared, haha. I couldn't find it. Oh well.
With 36 acres, the poop spreads out pretty evenly. Stepping in it isn't a problem except in the coop which the girls clean out weekly. No, we don't move our trampoline to mow under. I weed whack under it, what I can reach, a few times a summer. Also clip the brambles that try to grow. Doesn't always look the best, but that's what we're doing for now.
No, I don't know much about Go Fund Mes. I'm planning to just keep working hard and improving my business and hopefully support ourselves better and better each year. That's really sweet of you to suggest!

I know he is yours but we are proud of him too. He’s a great leader…teacher for the younger boys…and girls☺️

I am so happy that you and the children are able to be on this farm in the country.
Thank you! Your approval means a lot to me.
It's nice to see your whole family working to help others. You're a great example.
Hi Marcie. Great video. I know you are proud of your children.
Your homestead looks amazing! I really enjoy watching your videos

So kind of you all to help with cleanup after the hurricane. Love seeing all the kids playing and imagining, helping with chores too. Val C ❤️🙏🏻

Lovely video,Marcie . I love being outdoors in nature also . Gods magnificent creation 🙏🏻
Yes!! You got that right!
Maybe someone at church has a log splitter you can use for a day or two!
That's a good idea!

Tilly has pretty hair.
Looks like you could also drop a few trees
Yes, for sure!
Thanks for going to Asheville.
You're welcome! It was fun. You're sweet to thank me.
Please wear eye protection and steel-toed shoes when you’re cutting. I’d hate to see you get hurt! Those babies need you!
❤
Great video! Does the fireplace work in the living room?
Yes but it’s gas and expensive. We only use it for special occasions.
Originally it was a wood stove so I wish it still were. Except there isn’t a place to keep wood next to it and the living room would be dirty with wood chips. Put curtains on the windows to keep the warmth in
Very good descriptions. Do you only get the wood from your property or do you sometimes have to buy some?
Why did they delete your other video?
No, I never buy wood. I have lots of acres of down trees and dead trees that need to come down. Somehow a video clip I took on my phone got deleted or disappeared, haha. I couldn't find it. Oh well.
A couple questions. How often are y'all stepping in chicken poop? Is it a problem? Also do you move your trampoline to mow the grass under it?
With 36 acres, the poop spreads out pretty evenly. Stepping in it isn't a problem except in the coop which the girls clean out weekly. No, we don't move our trampoline to mow under. I weed whack under it, what I can reach, a few times a summer. Also clip the brambles that try to grow. Doesn't always look the best, but that's what we're doing for now.
Hang some curtains
Have you considered a Go Fund Me account for a wood burning stove for the house?
That sounds like a great idea
Go fund me’s are a rip off, just send her money.
No, I don't know much about Go Fund Mes. I'm planning to just keep working hard and improving my business and hopefully support ourselves better and better each year. That's really sweet of you to suggest!
