GM, Camaro Radio Issues FIXED !!! 6th GEN, saved over $1,000.00 from dealer quote 😮😎

- Hey guys
My brother in law owns a 6th Gen Camaro fully loaded and told me that the radio statarted to act up.
I suggested to take it to the dealer since the car is still under warranty.
My sister called me and told me that they were told the radio needed to be replaced and the radio is not longer under warranty, the price was going to be about $1,000.00 dollars 😮
I told her to wait and let me do some digging.
I found out that there is a known issue w/ the radio on the Camaros and other GM vehicles.
I read that some people were having "luck" fixing it by resetting the radio.
I could not find a single video showing which fuse to remove, so I decided to make a short video to hopully help other people w/ this issue.

My 2014 did the same, took to dealership 2 years ago and it was $800. It's, now, doing it AGAIN. So many posts and same issues, why don't they do a recall.... now, my hazards don't work and it affects my blinkers.

This is caused by moisture in trunk
Or a voltage regulator on alternator defective
Also car needs better ground

My 19 SS dashboard and infotainment system just went blacked out used to cut and come back but this time never so will try it
Wow I’m having the same problem with my 2018 SUV Ford Explorer and it goes haywire and my daughter has a 2016 Chevrolet Impala thank you so much and that could be the issue with mine and my daughters the dealership told my daughter it would cost her a couple of thousand dollars but wouldn’t exactly tell her what the problem was she thinks because she was a female and they will do it to females this could be something for my husband to look into with my SUV thank you so much

i tried all of that and my radio still out
Check the HMI or audio amp
I took out the fuse for like 20 mins....still it didn't work. I got into car after that the chevrolet symbol comes on screen and later it turns blank again.
How did you fix this bro?
Is this a permanent fix, or is this issue going to pop up again and again.
I tried unplugging it and plugging and plugging back in after 20mins but im still getting the issue every 12mins the screen turns off then on again :(

As far as I know it came back once or twice and my brother-in-law did what I said in the video and it is working fine again.
I did exactly what I said in the video.
There is no reason to replace the fuse, if the fuse is good.

i have a 2019 camaro i just bought it my radio was fine for the first few weeks then just started blinking on and off non stop restarting the car did nothing the dealership replaced the radio w one from a different camaro same year and it did the same thing ill try the fuse thing but do u know why it does this? or any ideas on how to fix it?
I don't know why it does it
I know that it is a known issue.
I know of people that have had the radio replaced w/ a brand new one and it would do the same thing.
The only "fix" I know is to "reset" the system by pulling the fuse I indicated on the video

The only thing that comes to mind, is to leave the fuse out for much longer, to see if that does the trick.

Hey did u find a solution?
easiest was to pull the fuse out i’m struggling pulling it out
you could use a plastic fuse puller or if you are very very very careful and have a steady hand one could use needle nose pliers.
NOTE if you use pliers and are not careful, you will brake the fuse***
I went ahead and replaced the fuse and it’s still not working

pulled fuse with car running or not??..or after pulled fuse did your start the car???
pull the fuse with the car off
leave the fuse off for about 15 to 20 minutes then restart car and check radio operation
ps. one should never work w/ anything electrical while the car running.

Mine works but for some reason I can’t hear music i don’t know why… when the I can clearly see the stereo on and everything. Do you have an idea of what it might be?..
I am really not sure but it could be the internal amp or if the car has an external amp it might be that.
A good audio shop should be able to tell,
they would have to remove the radio and test out the speaker outputs.
