Beautiful ring selection classic Tiffany setting that so many brands and jewelers try to imitate. I just wish there weren't so many comments assuming that you and your family made some type of irresponsible sacrifice to purchase this. Wealth envy is a very unattractive trait that people don't realize they have. Just be happy or don't watch, everyone's circumstance is different. No need to analyze everything.
Agreed!!! I think picking on someone for something they wanted to do for their love is pretty sad to me. Its HELPFUL to have videos showing tiffany rings because they're lovely in person and their website doesnt show how beautiful they actually are. Any sort of enzy is disgusting and a poor trait. I do believe we are allowed to have good things in life, and I also believe we should give back as well! But... people just shouldn't judge anyone

Why do people get so irritated when people buy Tiffany engagement rings 🤦🏻♀️ it’s so weird! No one cares if you think your paying for the brand, or you could get the same quality diamond cheaper! Tiffany and co is timeless and iconic! If someone can afford it, it’s no ones damn business! Stunning ring, and you sound like a wonderful husband!

I agree that people shouldn't care what others are purchasing with their own money... but with that said, most entry level jewelry at big jewelry brands such as Tiffany & Co., Harry Winston, Cartier, etc are actually provided by contract shops, a.k.a. jewelry factories, the same contract shops also provide jewelry to Costco.
Some examples of "entry level jewelry" are solitaire engagement rings, diamond stud earrings, tennis bracelets and necklaces, etc. These types of jewelry are easier to mass produce. If you intend to invest in these big brands, I recommend to purchase something that is truly unique to them, like the (Panther Bracelet) or (Bird on a Rock), because these pieces would appreciate in value a lot more than those mass produced entry level jewelry.

For all those not understanding why people pay more for the brand it's because we can. Those that can afford Tiffany aren't trying to save money. A Honda Civic gets you from one place to another, so why by an Aston Martin? It's because you make a lot more money then others.
powerralley Absolutely. It’s annoying when people question your spendings like they’re the one putting roof over your head. If someone wants to go for the alternatives I wish they’d just do that without shaming the others who wants to/can pay extra for the brand name. It’s really nobody’s business..

@@Chrisoula17 little do they know, diamonds lose their value the second you purchase them. God forbid something came up and you had to sell it. The most any store will give you for it is 75 to 100 bucks. They don't give a damn where you bought it from.

Congratulations on the ring! The only thing that bothers me - based on a previous Tiffany video I saw - is the absence of a diamond certificate and a valuation. I think they should've sent you one.
That comes later, they mail it like a week after, with the gentleman's name on it. Like my Fi said "Hey Babe, you got an amazing ring in a blue box, and I got an amazing piece of paper in a blue book". Lol. He'll get it! 💙💙💍

I’m not a fan of diamonds but when it comes to Tiffany’s is just a great choice it will NOT lose value with time I think is a good investment then buying from your regular store

I love gems and all that shiny and sparkly stuff but I wouldn't call myself fortunate for owning material objects that wouldn't matter once I'm gone... I'd say that I'm fortunate that someone loves me.

Probably at least 10k. My hubby asked if I wanted one since it was in our budget, but I preferred to get a custom ring at a private jeweler. My hubby ended up spending 15k on both my engagement ring and wedding band. Tiffany’s is nice but it’s overrated for engagement rings I think. You’re paying for the name.

Keona Welch it’s over a karat, emerald cut with baguettes on the side. And the clarity is nearly flawless. That was my biggest concern because of the shape.

I honestly get this obsession with Tiffany brand from a male's perspective. My wife easily could have chosen a similar ring at Costco for about a quarter of the cost of a Tiffany & Co ring. Likewise in car speak I can get a VW for much less but it will never be a Porsche. The Tiffany & Co. brand has heritage and for some is worth the price.

I did not say to buy a lowgrade diamond from Costco.You can get the same grade diamond and high quality setting at another jeweller for half the price.e.g how would you feel if the porsche u buy in america costs more than the same porsche u buy in france. What i am saying is is that there are no shortage of diamonds in the world. Thay same quality ring can be bought at other jewellers. You are wasting your money. No one is going to know it is a Tiffany ring. I am just saying that Tiffany is not necessarily better. It is just a brand. You are paying mainly for the brand when you buy Tiffany.

Yes it is. All the technical certification documents and credentials came in the mail shortly after the ring arrived.

With that said, GIA has the highest reputation and most trusted when it comes to diamond gemological reporting and that is world wide, regardless of what Tiffany's tells their consumers. I've done plenty of research on the subject and GIA is considered #1.

Many companies try their best, but there really is no way of actually tracking the origins of diamonds. This is because all the rough diamonds are sold in an exchange before they are even cut. So, etching or making will not even work. It’s unfortunate, but it’s jus he way it is. However, this also means that the companies who buy and cut rough diamonds are not necessarily the unethical links in the chain.
Lab diamonds are cut by the labs that grow them, so they are marked and easy to track, but that is mostly to avoid natural diamonds being devalued by manufactured diamonds (extrinsic value, you know).
