Careful removing the original sensor lines from the exhaust bungs. The exhaust on these vehicles gets so hot that the fittings on those sensors lines weld to the exhaust pipe. Sensor lines will bend prior to fitting busting loose. I know from experience.

So I have been running my mentioned configuration for the year, 4 inch into a 6 inch tip. All good. No issues. Cost, $89 bucks. Question, how is the banks holding up... have you seen any real difference?
I would have held an anometer to both tailpipes to see if there was an air speed difference…..I’d be curious about that. You’d think the air speed would be less on Banks.

I've had my banks exhaust for over 6 years now I love it every one that hears it gives me complaints. I would suggest getting the tip welded. Or putting a set tapping screws through it.
i'm so confused. So that giant suitcase that i thought was the muffler is the DPF. So does it have a traditional muffler anywhere? And this is just a tip reroute and that's it would you agree? Because there's no power or sound with a tailpipe to tailpipe swap right? Am i seeing this right?
@@FROGMAN524 That’s why I just ordered this dpf back exhaust. It looks better than stock, and won’t blast my trailer with hot exhaust. I know there are cheaper, similar products, but I trust Banks quality and Gale Banks’ excellent engineering skills.

I’m hearing that these tips are causing exhaust codes to happen on 2024 Duramax trucks because of the change of back pressure.

Been 2 years….i wonder if the tip turned yellow from the heat.
My only concern is that it will void the warranty on a new truck. GM will use any excuses to void your warranty.

It’s gonna sound stock because it still is stock, muffler/Dpf filter is going to still restrict it. You pretty much just paid for an exhaust tip…

I do have the derringer. No coded everything is perfect like factory.
I have the Derringer, Exhaust, Cold Air Intake, Boost tubes all banks. 55 mph i get 32 mpg with 35x12.5x22

I'm sure it helped on back pressure. Did you do a before and after EGR test?? Apples to apples?
I did no scientific analysis, however, this for one redirects the heat away from the front of my boat trailer which I much appreciate.

Basically it looks better than the stock top and routes the exhaust heat away from blasting the front of your trailer during regen.
