No one’s “pressed” or obsessing over it how you make it seem. 8/10 when people watch these videos they’re watching them bc they want a tutorial on how to do their hair, see what methods/products they should try, etc... People watch these videos for guidance. When you’re a TRUE 4b/4c girl it tends to get annoying when 80% of the “4B/4C” hair videos are just a bunch of clear 3b/3c/4a girl who either don’t know the difference between texture & pattern, or they’re just full on exploiting 4b/4c girls because I know y’all be knowing damn well y’all hair ain’t no “4c”. So educate yourselves on natural hair before y’all go posting countless videos online essentially telling 4b/4c girls “this is what your hair could/should look like.”
Clicked on this video because of the 4B in the title but was very disappointed. At the most the majority of your hair looks like a 4A, but I see a lot of 3C curls. There are kinky Type 3's. Not all of them have silky hair.
Niki N I think they think it’s 4C because their hair is very dense and their hair is more kinky. My hair is like hers and I consider myself a dense 3C/4A.
King Kina Exactly. She has kinky hair but she doesn’t have to have type 4 Hair pattern. She seems to just have a kinky 3C 4a hair type so her texture is kinky but her pattern is 3C 4a

The hair system is kind of flawed for us because the way they ordered the coil pattern is so random - but you're deffo a 4b (kinky texture with the loosest coil out of all the current type 4's) - rarest texture within the type 4 because it's often mixed with 3c or presents with the other type 4's x
This hair typing thing is so confusing that is why I stay away from it. We have similar hair pattern and textures but I truly don’t know what category I fall into. I have been told 4a/4b or 3c/4a depending on how moisturized it appears at that particular time. I know for sure that I am high density, low porosity and I have fine strands. Just saying, maybe she genuinely doesn’t know her pattern as well.
