- If you're curious as to how I get my afro with no heat, then you must watch! This was highly requested, so I'm giving you all of the details. To get my fluffy afro, I'm finally trying out Crème of Nature's Honey Collection (a year later lol). All of the products are listed in the video!

I’m so jealous of people who can wash their hair without twists. My hair would shrink all the way to the scalp if i did that
Omg same, well I have to put my hair up into four sections otherwise it’ll shrink up really bad and get tangled 😭😩
right!!! i put them in braids when i deep condition or else they will unravel and i just wanna be able to let it loose

Same. I wash them in 2 or 4 sections and clip each section away as I go. Twist are too much work.

I’m convinced my hair is incapable of being a fro or hanging... like my hair shrinks to my scalp and even if i blow it out, throughout the day it shrinks right back.
Same for me. And since my hair is like 3-4 different textures.. (3C-4B or 3B-4B), my 4B section shrinks up so badly. It's my whole back section. Twistouts/Braidouts do not work and if my hair isn't 100% dry, that shrinkage takes over.
Try to use products that are glycerin free, or have glycerin lower in the ingredient list! Glycerin tends to be in a lot of products and although it’s moisturizing, it causes lots of shrinkage.
jabria it’s not always glycerin, everyone’s hair is different. What I’ve noticed is , generally speaking, for people that can wash their hair loose can for the most part do wash and go’s and those who can’t usually have super shrinkage and/ hair that easily tangles and/breaks when washed loose nor does the hair hang down when wet. Not saying this is everyone it’s just my observation.
redgarnet27 definitely! I live in a humid state- so I should have mentioned that. Humidity + glycerin products tends to cause shrinkage.

Sulfate isn’t bad its a great help to properly remove build up please stop making sulfate sound bad😩I personally use dove shampoo and conditioner on my 4c hair and it’s AMAZING ‼️ you just have to have the right moisturizer for your hair‼️

Exactly I need my scalp to feel squeaky clean after I wash my hair because if it doesn't i don't feel like I cleaned it well.
I don't think she was implying sulfate products are bad in general. She just said it dries her hair out, so it's not right for her. If my hair is already dry and struggling I stick to shampoos that are sulfate free. Now if my hair has product in it or it just feels too oily or gunky I'll go in with a sulfate shampoo to get back right lol. Anyway, you're right, sulfates aren't bad, but I also think that they may not be for everybody, you know?

4 months late...but it was the leave in that caused the flakes. I've used these products for months and I love them. BUT I found that the leave in conditioner did cause flakes. 💕

The Pure Honey line is my FAVORITE line, I use it on my 4c hair faithfully for over a year now!
Edit: I shaved my head again, I grew it about 4 inches but I feel like natural hair isn’t for me. I prefer being bald headed and I can have my scalp breathe

I love your curl patterns! I have like a clear mark between the different textures in my head and I hate it because wash and goes look ridiculous. Like a 3c/4a sections in the front and 4c/b in the back. I love your carefree fro too. That's my fave look on natural hair.

It was definitely the leave- in! I tried the products when I first started out, and I found out who was the culprit Lol, but I enjoyed the products very lightweight on the curls. Certainly gave me a breezy clean feeling after my wash day!!

Thanks for sharing! The fro looks good and full, I love it. Apparently, we have a lot in common ... my hair is exactly the same texture as yours, and I recently purchased some of the Creme of Nature products (the Moisture Whip Twisting Curl Cream and the Knot Away Detangler) and I have to agree, they work well.
Another product I love is the Camille Rose Honey Hydrate Leave-In, and I think thus far, it's been my favorite. I absolutely love that it literally kept my hair moisturized for weeks, and I was so impressed, especially with how fast Type 4 hair can dry out, and the fact that I've been having some issues with my hair. But, at any rate, I really enjoy watching your videos, b/c I can see exactly what my hair will look like if I'm trying the same style or similar process as you're using ... it definitely helps!

the detangler is meant to be used before a wash day when ur pre pooing not as a styler. Their styler is the twisting cram the detangler is full of silicones for slip but is meant to be washed out.

I use these products on my sons fine hair and I love how bouncy his curls are from the conditioner. I used the detangle 1st (which is amazing), shampoo, then conditioner. I mix each item with water except the shampoo because they are so thick but it will last a long time. Thats probably why the flakes happened.

Next time try a low or cool blow out on the white parts, hold dryer 6-8" away from hair, cuticles will open, product should just melt back in to your hair😘👌🏾
