I think it’s important to state that the reason you keep your lower tier cards even after climbing the credit ladder is that closing accounts can hurt your score
Getting rid of cards with less perks shouldn't make that big of a difference. The credit limit on them are relatively low and it shouldn't affect credit utilization or your overall credit limit on all your debt that much. Credit cards are being handed out like candy to children in the US. It's their problem for not pre-emptively offering to upgrade your card to one of their better offerings if they have any. If you are a good customer with a particular big bank, you'll be getting junk mail from them offering you a better card from time to time. Especially if you have a lot of money tied up in their investment products or sitting in a bank account.
@@MrAnonymousRandom it's not really the utilization that hurts you it's that a lot of the time these cards have a extra year of use when cancelled that is removed from your credit report which means it shows you as having credit for less time lowering the score
Yeah but during that time you could have been hoarding points from the chase freedom and then transfer onto the CSR. At no point in the video did he say you have to climb through cards, just certain combos compliment each other. If you have the freedom you use it when the 5x points apply and then transfer to the CSR otherwise use the CSR.
Yeah, I got my first card 7 months ago and got instantly accepted to the CSP a couple days ago. Figure I will give it a year to take adv. of the free first year and upgrade to the CSR then.
Kofi Osei I agree because credit card points get devalued every day. That least with cash it is just cash and that does lose its value as fast as the point and at least it is basically universal you can put it back in your account and use it for other stuff
It really depends on how much personal travel you do. Yes, with points you are taking a little more risk betting your points won't be devalued, but absolute worst case scenario you redeem those points for a 1 cent a piece statement credit (which any reputable credit card offers). In this sense, you always essentially have a 1% cashback card. You also can generally get a lot more value out of many of these cards then comparable cahsback cards if you're studied on the points game and know how to properly leverage points. This is especially true for hotel cards which still offer standard reward redemptions based on tiers rather than dynamic pricing like airlines. As he says in the video, you start factoring two people into a hotel stay, let alone a family, and you are really getting a great return on your money. If you don't like to or prioritize travel, or you don't want to put the work into figuring out how to leverage points, then yes, chashback is probably the best option for you, but if you do like to travel and you don't mind studying up a bit on how best to use your points, then points cards are absolutely a better deal. Just depends on your lifestyle. Points cards are literally the only way I can afford to travel, and I highly value the couple Amex cards I hold which allow me this freedom.
If you’re concerned about how long it’ll take to get a tier 4 card. It took me 1 year and 1 month. I got my first credit card (unsecured) Chase freedom unlimited-> 3 months later Chase Sapphire Preferred -> 4 months later Chase Business Preferred -> 6 months later Amex Platinum. Love these videos they taught me how to get 260,000 in points in my first year of having credit cards.
I use 3 cards. Here in the UK. 1) Amex Rewards Low Rate (9.9%) This is for points (with no annual fee). 2) MBNA Everyday Visa (7.44%) This card is no longer offered but charges no fees and has one flat rate. 3) Lloyds Platinum Mastercard (5.70%) This card has the lowest rate and sometimes has BT deals (6 months with reduced interest, for example).
Isabel Etkind Discover is the people’s company. I’d say that one of Discover’s biggest setbacks is that there is no trifecta for their cards. Besides that though, the benefits are competitive.
Discover is pretty much nonexistent in the rest of the world. As an immigrant I didn’t get a Discover because I couldn’t use it outside of the US. I only have it because my husband got it.
@@jovanhayes7597 If they were the people's company they would have the type of coverage that Mastercard/Visa and Amex offer. Purchase Protection and extended warranties are two of my favorite perks.
@@isabell.etkind9765 Yo I made that comment 7 months ago. And it’s still true. They are the people’s company cause they’re cards are actually easy to get, they aren’t garbage, and the customer service is good. They might be lacking on some of your preferred perks, but that’s why Chase and Amex are the big daddy’s in the credit card game. Discover don’t got it but they still one of the best credit card companies out there.
If you are below 5/24 currently. Definitely try for ink chase cards first Amex will almost certainly approve you regardless And will likely approve you with just a soft credit pull. Since you have an existing good stable relationship with then
Michael King No , if you are already sitting at 5/24 you most likely WILL NOT be approved for an ink card currently, unless you receive a special targeted offer, then , in some cases 524 rules is not used in consideration of your application
Deathnote819 You are partially very incorrect/ don’t know the reasoning behind it Buisness Cards are not factored into or add to your 524 , only because Buisness cards do not get reported to your personal credit report., when and if you get them...... However. The fact that and if you are already sitting at 524 as reflected by your personal credit report , IS VERY MUCH locked at when chase is considering you for an ink card. Given this information, It’s better to first apply for biz cards when first starting out, with huge exception of capital one biz cards. ( not a good strategy at all , as you WILL NOT be approved for a biz card when first starting out). Or , the more sensible route is to fit in and try for a chase biz card app , a few years down the line, in between one of your personal applications ....again though , making sure though that you are below 524 at the time of the application..... otherwise you’ll almost certainly get denied......
Closing a card is a temporary drop. If you use credit responsibly, your credit score will move up again, and it does not take as long as you would think.
Cards through casinos I.e. MGM can sometimes provide really good perks as well with very low to no fees. Free hotel rooms, drinks, buffets, cash back, upgrades if you visit their casinos, points & free play etc.
I’ve been in the credit card game for only about 4 months, was lucky to get approved for a gold card for my first, making my other 3 cards easier to approve. Sitting now at a 728 at 4 months.
Here's a question for y'all. Just got the Sapphire preferred. How would I pay the annual fee. Does it come directly out of my credit union checking account after a year, or is it removed from my available credit, and I just pay it off as normal.
If you are wondering how long it will take you to go from tier none to tier four, it took me 9 months. Use them a bit, pay them on time and always more than the minimum and most often pay them in full. I have not run out of my free 1st year on a tier 1 card with 330 usd limit before i got offered (and issued) a tier 4 visa platinum With 1000k limit. I'm going to use full use of concierge to buy tickets to the movie, concerts, make reservations in any and all restaurants. Addmitedly i'm not in the US, so i get airmiles only and no travel/uber credit (wish i did)
Tbh tier 2 is pretty great. I'd take chase freedom over Sapphire preferred any day since I don't travel much. I really wish tier 3s or 4s had options with more cashback, so if an extra 1-2% cashback covered your annual fee you'd be coming out on top.
6:08 - sure, but the best way is to calculate the $ saving per point. Not a case of simply doing the hotel and thinking it is better as it benefits more people.
The capital one can can do a product change at capital one to the venture one can that offers you rewards points you keep same card number and limited free of charge I did this
I'd suggest Discover over the Capital one Platinum for Tier 1. Even the secured Discover card is pretty good since it automatically becomes an unsecured after 6-7 months. They make it easy to product change it to any of the other cards. So I went from the Secured -> Chrome IT -> IT pretty easily under a year. So now my first card is still pretty usable unlike the Platinum which has no rewards.
Blitz3O2 Dave being worth several million has nothing to do with him having credit cards or not. It all comes down to financial responsibility because there are many many millionaires in the world who use credit and many who do not. Credit points don’t have anything to do with net worth if you’re not being an idiot.
Are you able to pay the 400-550 fees on the top tier cards with another card? If so you could use one of the cards to buy the fee of the top tier card and have the first card reimburse you for opening it, say spend 500 and get 200 back? Can you do that?
I've had Chase debit cards since 2009(when they bought WaMu), and every one has lasted several years other than my last one which peeled after a few months. We'll see how the replacement card and my Freedom card last, I dont think it's unreasonable to expect my cards to look sexy since they represent my money!
Wish I knew about you & the tier breakdown two years ago. Started with my Wells Fargo student card four years ago. It got upgraded to the platinum card- No AF no perks. Then got the Best Buy VISA (needed a new laptop in college & couldn’t afford one in full-they had the 18 month interest free). Graduated & got the Macy’s AMEX for the store rewards points and at the time Plenti Rewards for gas & grocery. And then got the TJMaxx MasterCard for store rewards. Started watching your videos and decided that since I have 4 credit cards with no real perks to just apply for the AMEX Gold. So the AMEX Gold is my only “good perks” card and it’s a tier 3. Should I cancel the store branded cards (2k, 5k, & 7k credit limit on them)? Can I upgrade my WF platinum to the Propel (it has no AF and great perks & make it my tier 2)?
Hi Allison! Regarding the propel card with Wells Fargo, yes you can call them and do a product change to go from platinum to the propel card. The propel offers really great perks. 3X points on almost everything with no annual fee or foreign transaction fees! It’s a really great card to have. And it has a good sign up bonus too! 30,000 points if you spend 3,000 in the first 3 months.
Never close accounts in good standing. Regardless of you never use the card; it is still giving you higher AAoA, higher total credit available toward your utilization, and continuous on-time payments to leverage against possible credit difficulties that may arise in the future if you experience financial trouble. The only reason to ever cancel a card is if it is associated with an annual fee you don’t feel like paying any longer; and even then you have to weigh the negative consequences of doing so.
Dudeee_ Just a by the way; typically credit issuers do not offer “sign up bonuses” if you are upgrading a card. They are bonuses meant to entice new customers to “sign up” (it’s in the name of the bonus). Some issuers may still offer the sign up bonus on upgrade, but the overwhelming majority do not. Contact your issuer and double-check prior to making the switch.
You raise a really good point. I don't know about other companies, but Amex waives fees for all active duty personal on all their cards, including the $550 a year Platinum. You should absolutely shoot for that highest tier card if you have a good history and are planing to stay with the military for awhile. Open all the top tier cards and enjoy the benefits without paying for them. Even if you plan to go inactive, you can always downgrade your product to something more reasonable afterwards.
Personally, I've always found the Quicksilver one card somewhat pointless,as the normal Quicksilver card has no fees but still has all the features of the one, including the reward points and no foriegn fees. And your able to get the card for around the same scores at the one.
I’m 18 years old and got accepted for a Capital One Platinum unsecured card with no credit history. I started with a $300 credit line. I’ve been using it for a month now, and am planning to continue building my credit throughout the next few years. When should I upgrade to the Freedom Chase Card? Next year? After the 5 month on-time payment credit line bump? Or does it not matter.
This is the best credit card tier system video I have ever seen! Kudos to you for such a credit way of explaining each tier. For me it took about 2/3 yrs to go from tier 1 to tier 2. In your opinion how long did it take you guys to go from tier 2 to 3 and then from 3 to 4? Just a guide line for expectations-if you were planning on the tier climbing strategy? Thanks and keep up the great videos!!
@@user3086 I'm kind of the opposite. No Chase cards at all. 1 Discover. 7 cards in total. Up to CF's tier 3 now (2 cards at that level). I use the Discover card a lot. Keeping track of their revolving cash-back categories is not that difficult.
@@user3086 its really the only think I don't like about this channel, the Chase shilling is annoying af. I can't stand chase and how they treat customers. Amex has better products and miles better service, but this never seems to ever come up when chase and amex are compared
Last time I took a flight was 6.5 years ago. I'm thinking these tier 3/4 cards are worse than worthless. Cash back seems to be the best value. I'm thinking about going from Quicksilver to savor one as savor one is better value than savor.
Here's my question: if you can get accepted for a card higher up the list with no fees as your first card, should you still start with a card that has no rewards? Personally I got an Amex British Airways reward card as my first one, and the app I used said I had an 80% chance of being accepted for even an Amex Platinum because my credit score is somehow better than the average for both my area and the UK
Great video Shifu, very informative. Will either be getting that luxury card or the regular preferred guest card due to the 1st year waived and a free night! Then maybe I would just upgrade to Luxury in a later time. I've also been thinking about the Aspire card also because I saw that Hainan Video you made on that insane redemption for an award night! Thumbs up!
I have a question. If I build a good credit score in one country, why does it become 0 when I move to another country ? Also does not using a card affect the credit score ?
I got a score of 694 but I built it through credit cards from like Macy's and bestbuy. I want to get a traveling reward card like from amex or chase...does it matter that I didn't get those specific lower tier cards or does only the score matter?
*Question,* I have a one tier 3 card and some tier 1 & 2 cards none are American Express cards. My question is, should i go straight for the Amex blue preferred cash back or towards the Amex blue everyday cash back so I can get the sign up bonus and move up from there to possibly get targeted for a more attractive sign up bonus on the Amex blue preferred? Also, *second question,* can I move backwards from tier 3 to tier 2 for a sign up bonus?
Wouldn't it be better to have a single Tier 3 or Tier 4 (annual fee) card per couple with each Mr. and Mrs. having a copy of each card? Why does it make sense for each individual to have an individual card?
So I have the chase slate as my first ever credit card because I wanted to play it safe after getting denied from the Costco card. Now after 2 years I built up my credit and just converted from my chase slate to chase freedom unlimited. Does that make my chase slate inactive? Like I can go ahead and cut it up? Also, What is your opinion on the Capital One Savor card. I am starting up school and want to take advantage of a cash back sign up bonus to cover cost of some books and was disappointed when I saw it was decreased to $300 from $500. Are there any other similar cash back cards that offer a $500 sign up bonus at this time?
Hey Ben it seems you guys run both UR and MR setups. Maybe a video discussing which system people may want to based on goals? From what I’ve read an Amex system may be better for YOLO travel given their partners while Chase setups are good for more frequent routine holidays. What do you think? The new Amex gold has me considering switching my everyday setup to Amex but still not sure. On the end 3x vs 4x on dining is not an ENORMOUS difference I don’t think and probably not enough to switch whole card setups if you’re playing a one player game.
You just articulated what I've been debating for the past few weeks. I just received the CSP and am currently working on the minimum spend. But the Amex set up also seems like it can be lucrative if done correctly. I'd also like more info on that set up.
Slick Reviews I have a couple hundred thousand points on each UR and MR and I feel like I honestly like UR points more for the transfer partners. I’m not one for “luxury” travel I’m more of “I’d rather get as much as possible from points such as one round trip economy trip to Europe for 60k points rather than a 70k one way business which I’ve done and didn’t care for”
@@SlickReviews well let's start with some basic questions do you travel on business? which airline do you like best do you like south west , United, Jet Blue, Delta, Kris Flyers, hotels , Hilton, Starwood, Marriott? do you want a card that you can wipe out a travel expense or are you willing to put the time and effort to look for airlines that have transfer partners? would you be willing to get a cash back card that you can redeem for gift cards? are you willing to keep a credit card with an annual fee open after year one?
I have the AMEX Platinum and new gold card, my FICO score is at 750, but my only credit experience with Chase is the Amazon Prime card. I also began banking with Chase this year. I'm 6/24 at the moment but by March I'll be under, but I'm nervous about getting turned down for the CSR :(. I heard you have to qualify for a 10K limit to have a CSR, which none of my current cards have.
My credit score on credit karma is 758. I'm just wondering if I would be approved for the Amex Platinum. And if I applied now would I get the most benefit or wait until January to start the year with full u er credits and other perks. 📣Any feedback is welcomed
Dontee Weaver Amex focuses on FICO score, which is different from what credit karma uses. In fact, credit karma is more of an estimate rather than your actual credit score. For example, credit karma was showing my credit score to be 740, while my fico score was 698 due to the age of my credit.
Jeff Smitt well credit karma is right and if u read the disclosures it takes your fico and I can’t remeber average them bc my fico is 8 points less than my other one but the average is just about same read the little info button it explains
I never realized the IO for the EMV chips could be so different among different cards. It makes me wonder how the terminals can communicate with all those different chips.
I’m sure most people that are into credit cards know this. But for beginners watching videos like this. Hopefully you got your chase cards first. But once you have your chase cards. Especially the chase branded ones like freedom, CSR,CSP or any chase branded business cards. Don’t get rid of them. They are the only cards I’ve ever had and never have closed. If the annual fee is to much. Chase allows you to upgrade or downgrade. So say you have a chase sapphire reserve. And you don’t want to pay the fee. Don’t cancel it. Just downgrade it to a no fee freedom. Then you have the ability to upgrade back up to the regular chase sapphire preferred or reserve in the future. As for myself. I would not say I’m super into the credit card points like some people I know. But I’ve never been under 5/24 since I started almost 7 years ago. Also unless you are a big spender on chase cards. Don’t call them and play the “ I don’t want to pay the annual fee game”. I’ve found them to not be as generous with this as say Amex or citi is.
I know this video is a kinda old but does anyone know if you open the hotel cards that are issued through chase are you able to transfer the points on them to say the chase sapphire preferred??? I know you can transfer points on all of the regular chase branded cards but I was just wondering if those would be included as well?
I began with a CO Platinum MC when I had a not so great FICO/credit history. As the credit picture improved, CO bumped my account to a Quicksilver MC. Just recently they converted my QS MC to a QS world MC with its travel perks.
I dig the revisiting of your big video and actually applying it to your current cards! Always nice to get some insight into the wallet of the credit card master himself :)
Hey Ben, Would be interested to see an update video on all of the cards you've got right now and any plans in the near future for changes. Do you ensure you charge at least something to each every month? 🤔
Just a thought... have you filed your credit card fees as business expense for tax purchases? It might be worth while if it is allowed, as deductible if you itemize. BUT I still have yet to check the new tax laws to see if probable since the standard was increased. Different financial means different decisions to determine if useful...---just an accounting student... ask professional first
1,2,3,4, as benefits or other valuable things increase. 4,3,2,1 as something, normally a constant, becomes more valuable by the reduction. So you did it right.
I don't get it. I live in the UK, I have a credit score of 964 out of 999 but I'm a student and earn under 3000 per year. When I applied for my first credit card the no fee BA american express it said that I was also eligible for the platinum card with the 500 pound annual fee. why is this?
Bledar P But the amount you have to spend is really insane if you stop to think about it. Rewards don’t exist in a vacuum. Something like the 3% cash back on something like CSP you are receiving instead of 2% from Citi Double Cash. It’s really only 1% more at that point. In order to make back up the $95 fee.... you have to be spending $9500+ on that card instead of the Citi to make the annual fee worth it. Similarity, comparing the 4% CSR you would have to spend $24,750+ in that category for the $495 to be worth it. Also keep in mind that is only $9500+/$24,750 only in the “bonus category”; and usually that is only within a smaller time frame since it has to be during the months where you do not have 5% available on another card’s rotating categories. PS - This is strictly for cash back purposes. If you are redeeming the points for travel the numbers are less since Ultimate Rewards points are redeemed at a multiplier when used for certain travel expenses at 125% cash value.
I don’t think a lot of u realize they are gonna be spending this money for buisness/work to begin with, so all he sees is 1600 for a year of rewards, could be worth it depending what he does, like I said he would probably be spending more if it was for work/buisness
I have a question. Can I pay off the amount I owe without having to wait for statement up update? Like pay it off right away or should I wait until closer to due date to pay it off?
Nemo Nobody you can pay it off whenever you want. Just make sure after you pay it for the month don’t use it until the new billing cycle begins. Example I have a capital one card and my bill is due on the 10th every month. They send statements about once a month but I never mail in a payment I always pay the balance through the capital one app on my phone. I usually pay my bill a few days before the due date.
Question: if I'm denied on an application for an Amex card, will it hinder my approval odds on a card issued from another company/bank on their network (i.e. Macy's American Express)?
Both Chase and Discover offer 5% cash back on rotating categories that neither of those cards do, Amex Everyday blue offers 6% at supermarkets, Uber offers the same 4% restaurants / entertainment that the savor does for no AF. The word “literally” you are using incorrectly. You are literally wrong with your premise.
Getting the Freedom next month will bring me to 5/24. Gonna be working on a Amex trifecta after that lol. If you’re getting the Platinum, don’t forget to snag the 100k bonus since you can only get the bonus once in your life 👍👍 Hopefully we can get targeted for it haha

I'm trailing pretty close behind you, I'm at 11 myself lol. We have a few in common but for the most part it's funny to know our line up differs quite a bit.
Question for you...How long do you think it would take for someone new to credit/new to the US to climb the Chase credit ladder Freedom Preferred and Sapphire if banking with and have all assets (50K +) with Chase
Could be any number of reasons for this. The main one could be which credit bureau is checked each time and you could have differing information / scores on each. An issuer like Chase pulls for different bureaus depending on which part of the US you are located, which day it is, and even in some cases what time of day your request is made! Your credit scores might have also been different on a day-to-day basis when you had the pull done for each card. It is very possible that you applied for Chase Freedom and it pulled from TransUnion and on that day your score was too low, and when you applied for CSP it pulled from Equifax and on that day your score was high enough to be approved.
Why in the hell would you own Platinum and Gold? If you own the one you would literally have no use to ever use the other for anything. Any category rewards is topped by numerous other cards that don’t include an annual fee. You are literally paying an annual fee to have a useless Amex Card you would never use.
I think it’s important to state that the reason you keep your lower tier cards even after climbing the credit ladder is that closing accounts can hurt your score
^^^ there's no reason to quit a card with no annual fee!!!!!

Love these videos they taught me how to get 260,000 in points in my first year of having credit cards.
No Way, damn 260,000 points, sweet!
I use 3 cards. Here in the UK.
1) Amex Rewards Low Rate (9.9%)
This is for points (with no annual fee).
2) MBNA Everyday Visa (7.44%)
This card is no longer offered but
charges no fees and has one flat rate.
3) Lloyds Platinum Mastercard (5.70%)
This card has the lowest rate and
sometimes has BT deals (6 months
with reduced interest, for example).
Why no discover?
Discover has no real rewards benefits. They did at one time but the rewards now are really limited.
Great video. Thanks for sharing..I now know a little more about what tier level my credit cards are rated in..
If you are below 5/24 currently. Definitely try for ink chase cards first
Amex will almost certainly approve you regardless
And will likely approve you with just a soft credit pull. Since you have an existing good stable relationship with then
I'm about to hit 5 so I'm gonna get chase for my next card
I'm at 5/24 right now
I can still get 1 right ?
I rushed too fast into the game before doing my reading ughhh
Ink cards are business cards so they don’t affect your eligibility for 5/24
Michael King No , if you are already sitting at 5/24 you most likely WILL NOT be approved for an ink card currently, unless you receive a special targeted offer, then , in some cases 524 rules is not used in consideration of your application
Deathnote819 You are partially very incorrect/ don’t know the reasoning behind it
Buisness Cards are not factored into or add to your 524 , only because Buisness cards do not get reported to your personal credit report., when and if you get them......
If I'm paying over $400 a year to hold a credit card then it best not be peeling.
Yep, I would call Chase and order a replacement. Super glue lol

Closing a card is a temporary drop. If you use credit responsibly, your credit score will move up again, and it does not take as long as you would think.
I started from Discovery it without any credit history, user friendly and has cash back and cash back match for the first year.
Lol the comments are hilarious it's like everyone is collecting pokemon cards haha
It kinda is. A hobby
I really wish tier 3s or 4s had options with more cashback, so if an extra 1-2% cashback covered your annual fee you'd be coming out on top.
omg so excited! love sharing your first video, i show it to anyone who will watch it! :D
Do any of them require you to use it every month? I have had a charge on one of my cards for not using it.
Free nights only cancel the annual fee if you would've done that anyway
Dave Ramsey must love this video
Dave is worth several hundred million. Debt shifu is worried about collecting points and miles. Its levels to this shit
Blitz3O2 Dave being worth several million has nothing to do with him having credit cards or not. It all comes down to financial responsibility because there are many many millionaires in the world who use credit and many who do not. Credit points don’t have anything to do with net worth if you’re not being an idiot.
Blitz3O2 Dave also has had to file for bankruptcy because he wasn’t responsible with money
Are you able to pay the 400-550 fees on the top tier cards with another card? If so you could use one of the cards to buy the fee of the top tier card and have the first card reimburse you for opening it, say spend 500 and get 200 back? Can you do that?
Great info! Which ones are best to get at each tier? Also, which are best at each tier? Could you do a video for that?
All of my chase cards start peeling just after a few months. I thought it was my wallet but my citi cards are fine & way older.
Kenneth B You’re not paying an annual fee for nothing, call Chase and get new ones
I've had Chase debit cards since 2009(when they bought WaMu), and every one has lasted several years other than my last one which peeled after a few months. We'll see how the replacement card and my Freedom card last, I dont think it's unreasonable to expect my cards to look sexy since they represent my money!
Special EDy it’s the banks money ;)
Bledar P he’s paying an annual fee and paying the card off. So not really the banks money. Stfu.
I love your videos easy to follow and offer great tips, in the 720 ’s right now and got a few 2nd tier cards but have goals for three tier 🤓✌🏾
To all my us active duty military personnel if you get a credit card the annual feed will be waived i have the chase sapphire reserve
Hilton honors ascend card gets you 125,000 points
I noticed that you're not a fan of Discover Cards...
Thank you for taking the time to make these videos
I went straight from a Discover It student to a chase sapphire reserve. Mightve been because of my income though.
What was the income number?
You mean your daddy's money?
Why is the discover it card not on here? I think it actually provides great value and no AF.
It's not on here because they don't have one. Its a great card but he seems to like the Chase family of cards as they're "future proof".
Cause all the cards that he is not a shill for don't show up on the list. Only 4 of the cards on his list should be on a top 10 list.
Watch Graham Stephen's video on what affects credit score. Just search it up on youtube. Thank me later.
Will there be an updated video to this for this year?
You don't have any Airline Cards. What do you think about them with their free baggage perks and plane boarding priority.
I would also like to see a video discussing this!
Slick Reviews I have a couple hundred thousand points on each UR and MR and I feel like I honestly like UR points more for the transfer partners. I’m not one for “luxury” travel I’m more of “I’d rather get as much as possible from points such as one round trip economy trip to Europe for 60k points rather than a 70k one way business which I’ve done and didn’t care for”
Alex Pirate I’m the same way
@@SlickReviews well let's start with some basic questions do you travel on business? which airline do you like best do you like south west , United, Jet Blue, Delta, Kris Flyers, hotels , Hilton, Starwood, Marriott? do you want a card that you can wipe out a travel expense or are you willing to put the time and effort to look for airlines that have transfer partners? would you be willing to get a cash back card that you can redeem for gift cards? are you willing to keep a credit card with an annual fee open after year one?
Wow! Great video! Very well done. Brilliant!
I currently have 11 credit cards!
Dontee Weaver you would most likely be approved depending on how long your credit history is
Dontee Weaver Amex focuses on FICO score, which is different from what credit karma uses.

Hey Ben,
Would be interested to see an update video on all of the cards you've got right now and any plans in the near future for changes. Do you ensure you charge at least something to each every month? 🤔
Great video. I have 14 credit cards, 2 are tier 3.
Do you use all these cards? Won’t they close your card accounts after not using them for 6-12 months?
Nicolas Ciampaglia yeah but remember to buy something on each on, even buying something of the McDonald’s dollar menu is enough
What tier does the Wells Fargo Propel card fall under
Why don’t you have any CITI cards. Do you think the Citi Premier is good right now with the 60k bonus?
I don't get it. I live in the UK, I have a credit score of 964 out of 999 but I'm a student and earn under 3000 per year. When I applied for my first credit card the no fee BA american express it said that I was also eligible for the platinum card with the 500 pound annual fee. why is this?

Points Pointers omg 😲 nice
Crazy
So u pay 1600$/year just on annual fees?
It’s worth it if you travel a lot !

Literally the only credit cards you need are the Amex Platinum and Capitol one Savor card. You can get all the benefits with just them.
Jason Rothfeld yes but having more credit cards 💳 = more credit lines = credit utilization = perfect score....
As for the AMEX PRG, I contacted AMEX about it and they were vary vague saying they have no notification about it being metal at this time (Keyword: At this time). I have inquired about it being metal before around last year and they simply straight up told me no there won't be a metal card for the PRG. Just making assumptions but we will see when the time comes.
Well you will know tomorrow. Also the card Art has already been updated in some people’s apps, someone just sent me a screenshot

Tomorrow as in 12:00am or May take longer? The Credit Shifu
The Credit Shifu yea I just checked the old offer is still the one showing up. but I did get a targeted offer for 50,000 start up should I take it? Will it update after?
I just ordered metal gold card...on your acct when you go to "replace lost/stolen card" at the bottom of the list it gives you the option to order a metal card. If you want to order the rose gold it says to open chat to order it with an amex rep. Im excited!

I spent a couple thousand dollars on it within the week that I've had it. Do you think Chase would apply the sign up bonus points to my account if I call and request it?
I'm trailing pretty close behind you, I'm at 11 myself lol. We have a few in common but for the most part it's funny to know our line up differs quite a bit.

@@jeff32407ify hey atleast your getting your money's worth! Congrats on the card btw!
