The Gilded Age gave us the best example of how to spend money to impress. I have had my antenna on for years to see if this one would be saved for the future generations to enjoy.
This is fantastic news! I’m so happy Lynnewood Hall is being restored! Wow so far it look’s absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for updating us, can’t wait to see the rest of Lynnewood Hall! 👍❤️🤘
Hey dear Lesley, oh my goodness, I was already awe stricken by your first video with you wearing a historical attire and presenting your fans and viewers this absolutely amazing building. I had the impression you were just showing us your own house, because you were looking like a noble count and casually walking there around as if it was your property, haha...! So lovely and adorable! Moresoever I can hardly wait for you now presenting this magnificient building again with already some restored rooms as seen in your beautifully made trailer. Lesley, my dear bro, you really never fail surprising and amazing me with every new video you are uploading! So see you soon!
It’s thrilling that this piece of Americana is finally getting the attention it so vastly deserves. What this property now needs is money and lots of it. If you can, donate. If you happen to have wealthy friends/family please encourage them to step-up in order to make this transformation/preservation happen!
Thank you for re-visiting Lynnewood Hall and for any part you took in saving it through your original tour years ago!! It is such a magnificent place and I’m very happy to know it will be saved !!
As someone who's spent almost my entire career caring for & restoring historic house museum gardens, this makes me very, very happy. You should be looking at trying to achieve National Historic Landmark status.
This is a very interesting video. I remember watching your first video of Lynnewood Hall. I’m so excited that this masterpiece will be restored, I’m only sad,at my age of 73, I’ll probably never see the final restoration. Thank you Edward Thome, Nancy Van Seyoc and Peter Oylo for taking the initiative to restore Lynnewood Hall. What a magnificent home and beautiful surroundings. It was very interesting to hear from Peter R. Widener reflecting on his heir’s living in Lynnewood Hall. With all their wealth they were extremely generous and they contributed to worthy causes. Thank you Lesley and Danny for this wonderful presentation. ❤
I have been obsessed with this building for over 20 years. So happy that it is being appreciated and restored. Looking forward to supporting the work of the foundation.
Well, this wasn`t just a great meal...this was the whole buffet. Holy smokes ! What a documentary ! Two hours and fifteen minutes of pure pleasure. I hope you will do something similar next year, for it will be just as great. Great job.
Yes your right. Leslie is really great at doing his shows. Ive been watching him for about 5 years now. I think his show is one of the best. I really hope the best for him.
Wow! Thank you Lesley and Danny for your part in helping bring attention to this amazing place and project! So happy it’s getting the attention it deserves! Love every exploration!
Lynnewood Hall is stunning. I can't wait to see how they progress. It makes me so happy that this important historical building will be saved. Thank you so much for sharing.
Very well done, Lesley . I am so glad they are going to save and restore Lynnewood Hall . You certainly look the part today. Thank you for your professional presentations. Hope Danny is doing well.
This is BRILLIANT, Just love what you have done on the Hall, filming, editing, interviews, the whole film is just so amazing to go around the Hall. Much praise from England
Wow, you did amazing work, I watched the original video on Lynnwood Hall, you helped bring this historic home back to life. You should be proud... Without you, this may not have come to fruition, and this would decay like a lot of what we explore. I love this home, the history, the family and how much they helped society, this is your best presentation on the gilded age of America.
This documentary sets complete new standards in so many ways: the film making, story telling, in depth knowledge transfer, the public in focus setting of the entire conservation prioject... thank you, thank you for this documentary ❤ This marks a new era... hopefully not just for Lynnewood hall, but also for your yt channel 🙂👏
Such a beautiful house! Thank you so much for this second video. Love the progress that has been made and so happy to hear that it will not only be preserved but also restored. I had a job one summer right out of high school cutting ivy and pachysandra at Lynnwood Hall for a nursery. This was back in the early 80s when it was Faith Theological Seminary. Still beautiful back then although so much was altered. It was already suffering damage back then because they just didn’t have the money for upkeep. Glad to see that all of the detail wasn’t destroyed.
I have always loved old Gilded Age mansions but when i saw your video from 2 years ago i fell in love with Lynnewood Hall. I love how mr.Edward knows all these stories of the family he is a real book of knowlege 🙌. I am so happy that this magnificent mansion will be restored to its original glory ❤. Absolutely deserves it. So many beautiful mansions have been destroyed but Lynnewood Hall stood all this time waiting for mrs.Angie and mr.Edward to set out a Preservation Foundation and begin the restoration. I am sure Peter AB Widener is overlooking everything from above and is happy seeing that his beloved mansion will be restored ❤🙌. Bros of Decay great job 👏🙌🥰
Lesley, this documentary was astounding! I thoroughly enjoyed it and seeing the progress made on the property since your documentary two years ago. I especially liked having one of the descendants giving his viewpoints as well as the interviews with two of the preservation foundation board members. Your passion is evident, and the respect and reverence for all the properties you document are to be commended. Congrats on a job well done! I look forward to seeing another documentary a few years from now on the continued renovations on this historic property.. A dedicated fan!
Marvelous! Thank You Lesley for bringing such positive attention to this great historical wonder. I'm so happy it is in safe and very capable hands. Bravo' we see the great importance behind the explorations that you and Danny bring to the table week after week. It soothes more than the curiosity believe me we love your exploration. There is purpose in this work you do. I hope to see attention brought to some of the places in Europe also such beauty there as well being left to languish away so much that should at least be placed into a museum. Well done Bros Of Decay I applaud you!
Love this house it's has been my screen saver for years. I shall be visiting the preservation Foundation. So glad it never became a McDonalds or Wal Mart. I would sonar every wall and floorboard while renovating. There has to be some tucked away items somewhere. Never seen the original gardens. Amazing!
This was absolutely delightful! I love spending Sunday afternoons with the Bros of Decay. 😊 So happy that this amazing place is getting restored! Looking forward to hopefully more updates on the progress!
This update makes my heart smile so much to see the renovations continuing. Bringing back to life rooms that were once filled with life, left to decay, and back to life it becomes. ✨ Again, I'm so overjoyed about this update. ❤❤✨ Thank you all so much for sharing all that each of you have with us and making this video available for us to see the updates...Great Job!!! 👏
Woohoo!!! I'm SOOO excited that you're doing this video!!!. Just started watching.... Beyond excited to watch this ..... (Edit: Grabbed my popcorn and ate 2 bags !! while eagerly watching. Luvd every second!). It moves me to teary eyes because the whole reason Mr Widener built this was FOR family- and community. And that's exactly what its going to be for once again. Nice!!!. Thank you for the update!!. ⚜️
Only two mins. in and I have to leave a comment; just wanted to thank you and the people who preserve this beautiful building - you are awesome! The clean up already looks stunning!
Thank you Lesley and Danny for this documentary about the renovation of Lynnewood Hall. I watched the first video, with fascination, and now I am impressed that you have been apart of open up the eyes for this historical building and the importance to restore and renovate this heritage. Congratulation to a great work!
You must be so proud of your two fabulous documentaries. I can't believe it was 2 years ago but what wonderful things have been done since. I hope this is the start of an American preservation plan.
It’s heartwarming to see the turn around of this grand estate and look forward to seeing how this progresses. The first time I ever heard of Lynnwood Hall I was thumbing through an old copy of Magazine Antiques and there was an auction advertisement for the garden statuary and fountains. I hope you are able to re-acquire more of its treasures. Thank you Leslie for this follow up.
This makes my heart so happy! I remember your first video and how sad it was to see this beautiful piece of history falling apart. Now it’s getting new life and it’s wonderful. I am sure the original owners are looking down so happy for this ❤️
I saw the first BrosOfDecay RUclips video on Lynnewood Hall. At that time, I began to follow the preservation development. When I studied at the University of Oxford, I studied architectural history and preservation. We would examine English country estates and their history. During the first video, it was sad to see its decay, but eventually, following the Foundation website, I was pleased to see its future restoration and historical preservation. As an Oxonian, I am also happy to hear that the Foundation is incorporating students to help in the restoration. Lynnewood Hall is a fantastic opportunity for students to study as apprentices. Thank you for sharing this video. Thank you to the Lynnewood Hall Preservation Foundation for your efforts in preserving its history and story for present and future generations.
Lynnewood Hall is incredibly beautiful, and this documentary captures that perfectly. Lesley and Danny, your hard work and dedication are truly impressive.Well done! 👏👏
Wow Leslie. Fantastic job on this. I have been slowly savoring this video. Mansions like this is why I studied architecture in college. The fact this house is being saved gives me extreme joy. Thank you to those like minded individuals who had the tenacity to form the preservation society. Years ago I could not believe this treasure was left to rot. I applaud all those involved in this labor of love. Their dedication and hard work is admirable. And I am honored to be a very small contributor thru Patreon. Hopefully someday I will be allowed to walk though those front doors. I look forward to it.
As someone who grew up with a billiards table in my house, my father who started teaching me to shoot pool at the tender age of 3yrs old. My dad had a platform of steps that would roll to the outer edge of the room so the adults could play. The table is still in the family, I gave it to my brother when I sold my family home. I inherited the table because my dad said I was better than my brother who is 8yrs older than me. Lynwood hall definitely should restore the billiard room with a period table. 8ball was my favorite game and by the age of 10 I could beat most adults. I adored playing and I practiced all most every day. I love that Lynnwood Hall is being restored. As a Pennsylvanian I am very happy to see that beautiful building being worked on. Thank you for filming this . Since I was a little girl I was fascinated by this building.
Thank you Leslie for covering the progress of this beautiful home. I’ve loved this home as long as I can remember I always wanted to live here my little girl imagine just that I’m so glad it’s being saved. Thank you all. For your effort. Love Vivian
And to add, I'm so thrilled to hear and see all this great news about Lynnwood Hall!!. I have followed it and you , Leslie and Dan for years now. Such an awesome and positive outcome and outlook! I'm so thrilled that you guys , through your curiosity have been able to bring light to this whole issue of homes that were once homes. Now , this will be a place for community once again!. This video made me so HAPPY!!!. Luv you guys!!. Thank you again, Leslie and Dan!!!. ⚜️
I can't tell you my joy that this fabulous place will be saved!! Hurrah for you, Lesley, for instigating a rush of funds to allow the purchase of this building. I was concerned about the organ, but surely the conservationists know to store those old lead pipes upright, as they will collapse under their own weight. Some of the pipes are brass, tho....those must be the ones laying down. The Petherick's in France recently completely restored an antique organ...so it can be done...tho this one is in really bad shape. Just a fabulous tour... thank you! It already looks so much better. Hopefully, they are saving everything. The conservationist at the Chateau de Purnon said " Don't throw anything away, as it could be significant. She's been asleep for a long time, we must awaken her slowly."
Danny and Leslie...I am speechless. You have mastered your craft and skills to all new levels. This video proves that. To top that - YOU BOTH MADE A DIFFERENCE AND HELPED SAVE LYNNEWOOD HALL! I am SO impressed and proud of both of you! You both did a spectacular job on this video! One of the best ever! Cheers to you two!
I did see the the original video two years ago and while watching it my heart broke at it's decay. I opened up RUclips today and this popped in my feed and gasped, I am sooo happy and excited this amazing property is being restored. It is my fav, I can't wait to visit one day. Thank you to everyone involved!
Thanks to this channel I found out about the existence of this great mansion and now I am very happy that the Foundation bought it and has made so many advances. Congratulations to you and the members of that entity. Bravo!!!!!
My goodness I’m so happy to see this update. Preserving the history of Americas great homes is so,very important for future generations to learn from and to cherish
Lesley! I am so proud of you and Danny in this plight to save and restore monumental buildings! You help to reveal historical gems around the world that suffered decay due to neglect and abandonment! ! admire you greatly, particularly in the descriptive and emotive way you present the tale of each house you discover. Your narration animates the forgotten homes of yesterday! Good Luck! Jack would be extremely proud of you!
This is absolutely fantastic. The foundation certainly has a big job on their hands but they are the best crew to do it. The pure love they have for the place is overwhelming. I think the original family would love the idea of the building being used for education.
Well lm glad to say this home is comming back. It would be a crime to let this place go to ruin. This is an American castle and should never just go to waist. Its to bad that its in this bad of shape. The antiques that were here must have been really somethig. Im very glad that this wonderful home will be saved. Im going to try to go there and see it for myself. Thanks Leslie for comming back to tell us this great news.
This has been an amazing experience and adventure for me. It’s truly amazing how much work has been done in two years! Thank you for bringing this to the screen and contributing to the beginnings of the foundation. ❤️🇦🇺🇧🇪
This is so GREAT!!! I never understood why it was not restored. A college or made into a Private Institution of learning of some type, or even hotel, but to let it just decay-turn to ruins never is understandable. The first time it was built with love, and it is being restored with care and love again. Wonderful
I am so happy they are going to restore Lynnewood Hall! It is such a beautiful building! I saw the first video when it was first posted, and was hoping it would be saved.
remember seeing Lynnewood Hall on a previous video by Abandoned Mansion, it was sad and heart-breaking to see such a beautiful building that had deteriorated over time. I thought at that time that this building needed someone to renovate it/fix it because it is part of history it is meant to survive for generation to come and how life was for one family at the turn of the century, so thank you for saving this place. Watching from NZ
I can't believe what I'm watching 😳. I'm from a small town in Arizona and I would love love love to be able to explore. They are doing an amazing job. I watched your video from 2022 and would think back on it, wondering 🤔 how it's going! Thank you. Some day I will make it there to be apart of history!
I'm so glad that Lynnwood Hall and its property are going to be restored. To me, this right here is proof that the urban explorers who tour abandoned properties can and do cause an impact to preserve the past. Lynnwood Hall has haunted me since i first saw it in another video. Please keep up the good work.
Lesley you are an incredible documentarian! This documentary on the Lynnwood Hall is beautiful!!! 💚 Thank you Lesley for your love and passion for these beautiful places you document.
Georges I am in love with this Property And Thank you guys for what you are doing and to preserve this historic property Glad you saved it Cant wait to see this incredible home in all its Glory come back to life Unbelievable Incredible beautiful home. WOW
I am so glad to see that this property is in safe hands and the family still is involved in its restoration. Thank you so much for this wonderful documentary!
Congratulations to everyone involved ! It’s so gratifying to know this magnificent work of art won’t be bulldozed and lost forever like so many others. I was amazed at the mammoth size of Lynnewood , and all the details in its construction. It was a luxurious fortress that must have cost a Fortune to build.
Tears of Joy that this beautiful property is finally being loved and rescued. But also Tears of Sorrow over the condition of the property... disrespected by previous owners, urban explorers, and vandals. This property has great potential as a wedding venue once enough of it is restored. 😅😢
The Elkins Mansion/Manor just across the street (Leslie references this point while down at the front gate) from Lynnwood Hall actually IS an event venue. It's another massive mansion with a voluminous great hall as it's entryway. It's fantastic !!. You can look it up here in RUclips!. Trust me, I have many times! Lol. Many different channels have featured it. Just thought you'd like to know!. 👍⚜️
Thank you for this catch up video on Lynnewood Hall, I saw it a few years ago when you first entered, so heartbreaking , but now so pleased it is being restored 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
Obviously this worthy project will take many years and significant funding to achieve the final objectives and I like thousands of others will watch with great fervor. I hope more attention will be directed toward the rehabilitation of the chiefs residence because it could be used to generate income as a B & B cottage. It could be used as a guesthouse for visitors that could be solicited for additional contributions toward restoration. It could be used for enticing academics for brief visits or craftsmen helping with the highly needed skills. This is a wonderful contribution to this country’s heritage and deserves our passion and earnestness.
I just recently discovered your videos. I love how you respect the abandoned homes. It makes me so sad because I have a passion to restore abandoned homes, but I have no money to do so. It breaks my heart to see such wonder places crumble and vandalized. Keep up the awesome work bringing these historic homes a flicker of hope.
Hi Lesley & Danny.... 😊Thank You Very Much for Showing the Updated Lynnewood Hall in Philadelphia, USA!! 2 Years Later Improved & Restored...Great Improvements!! It will be Marvelous When the Rooms & the Gardens are Finished!! Very Interesting Video, Lesley & Danny!! Sad though that Not All Original Furniture in the Libraries & No Billiard Room of Pool Tables! Awesome Secret Bathroom Found!! Wow, 18,000 Square Feet House for the Son & Wife!! Wow again 18, 000 House & Lynne Hall Mansion is 110, 000 Square Feet!! The Statue`s & Garden Outside Were Gorgeous Before & Hopefully They Will Bring All of it Back!! Take care & Both have a Safe Drive to Your Next Journey!!💖Both have a Wonderful Evening!!❤ Love Barb from Central Illinois ❣ ( I will Share it to my Facebook page)
When I first saw this place on the market several years ago, I thought that it was the epitome of my dream home (minus the state of decay). The architecture was and is breathtaking! So happy it is being restored, wish i could be a part of it!

Yes, one can hope.
Everytime I see Lynnewood Hall, I fall love again!
This makes my heart so happy! I remember your first video and how sad it was to see this beautiful piece of history falling apart. Now it’s getting new life and it’s wonderful. I am sure the original owners are looking down so happy for this ❤️

Thank you for sharing this video. Thank you to the Lynnewood Hall Preservation Foundation for your efforts in preserving its history and story for present and future generations.
This is a true documentary! Very well done.
Thank you for your channel and all the information on this estate!!!! glad you are part, of the restoration of this incredible job.
Funny!. Im subbed to the Chateau de Purnon too!!. Cheers!. 🥂⚜️
Absolutely fantastic job on this. So happy they are preserving American history. ❤
Thank you so much for all of your hard work, Lesley and Danny! ❤
I did see the the original video two years ago and while watching it my heart broke at it's decay. I opened up RUclips today and this popped in my feed and gasped, I am sooo happy and excited this amazing property is being restored. It is my fav, I can't wait to visit one day. Thank you to everyone involved!
Absolutely beautiful. So glad they are restoring it ❤
Thanks to this channel I found out about the existence of this great mansion and now I am very happy that the Foundation bought it and has made so many advances. Congratulations to you and the members of that entity. Bravo!!!!!
My goodness I’m so happy to see this update. Preserving the history of Americas great homes is so,very important for future generations to learn from and to cherish
Thank you for bringing this absolutely spectacular place!❤❤
Lesley & Danny your chronicles are part of the legacy, the history now!
Congratulations Angie, Peter and Tylor ! So nice to see you two years after Bros of Decay had their first video about Lynnewood.
See, this is how things need to happen!
This has been an amazing experience and adventure for me. It’s truly amazing how much work has been done in two years! Thank you for bringing this to the screen and contributing to the beginnings of the foundation. ❤️🇦🇺🇧🇪
Thx for wonderful follow up, I hope you Continue with that in future.
I love that they will use the restoring as Education.
I'm excited to see the video. 😮❤
Saludos desde Venezuela. Te felicito de enseñarnos la recuperacion de una cultura Américana . Que belleza
I'm so glad that Lynnwood Hall and its property are going to be restored. To me, this right here is proof that the urban explorers who tour abandoned properties can and do cause an impact to preserve the past. Lynnwood Hall has haunted me since i first saw it in another video. Please keep up the good work.
Thanks, love seeing the progress and really excited to see the changes as this amazing old building comes back to life.b
🎉 it looks fantastic 🎉. I can't wait to see the rest of it.
Lesley you are an incredible documentarian! This documentary on the Lynnwood Hall is beautiful!!! 💚 Thank you Lesley for your love and passion for these beautiful places you document.

I was in awe with your first video Lynnewood Hall, and I am more in awe with this video. 💖
I finish watching!! Stonning. Wonderful work fellows. And congratulations also to the foundation. Work of art. Hugs from Brasil
Thank God they are saving Lyneewood hall I love this home ❤
People who can tackle such work make me feel not grown up yet. SO pleased there are adults out there who know how to do this.
Thank God you are saving this Grand Estate it was so Exquisite, I have seen many pictures over the years.
Yay didn't know if Danny was filming or not. He does such a good job. Thank you Danny.
content like this should not be free. Amazing overview of the manor
I have been watching your channel for a couple of years. I am sending you blessings and wish you a lifetime of success ❤
What a joy to see this beautiful estate being restored. Well done Leslie and Danny!
That is great to see this magnificent mansion being saved!
Thank you this is wonderful ❤ Lesley and Danny.
Wow! This place is stunning with history and beauty, the architecture are really stunning, thank you for sharing

I have been waiting for weeks for this episode and it’s truly amazing to see what they have already done and hope you’ll visit again over two years 🤩😁
When I first saw this place on the market several years ago, I thought that it was the epitome of my dream home (minus the state of decay). The architecture was and is breathtaking! So happy it is being restored, wish i could be a part of it!
