    • @DrStefaniKappel
      @DrStefaniKappel  Год назад +8

      It is!! Its so had to find someone highly trained in an era where anyone can call themselves an "expert". So misleading and unfair to patients paying for these procedures with providers who probably shouldn't be allowed o perform these treatments in the first lace. Look for "ACGME accredited fellowship trained" and at least someone "board certified in dermatology" Not just saying "board certified" because that can mean anything. I just had a patient who had a laser burn from an optometrist. She's "board certified" but in a completely different specialty. Its like the wild west out there my beauties. Be careful.

    I'm glad that you explained everything even what "laser" stands for. At first I thought Thermage is what Christie Brinkley gets done. But it turns out that's Ultheraphy and something called Xeomin. I think she is a good example of having had procedures done but not going too far. But concerning microneedling. I thought that being done with PRP was effective at helping the skin to produce collagen? It seems that you've said you've had patients who had hyperpigmentation from microneedling. But does that mean PRP didn't benefit them at all or was it not used? I have seen where there were people who had Morpheus8 done. But afterwards saw no difference.

Why do Roy think it didn’t work for me? Now it is 5 years later, recently my skin has started to sag more, especially around my mouth. I wonder if the thermage worked better than I thought. I just had ellacor, and not seeing any tightening whatsoever. The sagginess is still there. If the cores are closed, shouldn't I start seeing some tightening? It's only been a few days.
    Also, I see white areas interspersed within the red grid squares, as though the machine missed some areas. Wouldn't that reduce chances of results?
    I'm concerned.

    • @DrStefaniKappel
      @DrStefaniKappel  Год назад +1

      You need to wait a full 90 days to see the results. Also microcoring is highly dependent on the provider because without excision of the cores it is essentially just micro needling in which the results I feel are underwhelming. If the cores are excised, then that is when results become next level and unlike any other treatment.

With that I’m wondering how you might recommend finding the right person to work with? I would love to come see you but I’m in Connecticut. Do you do video call consults? I’m at the point where I’m not knowledgeable about what I may need, as far as procedures and treatments (that would personally work for me). Apologies if this question was already addressed. Thank you! - Sarah 💕🙏

      @DrStefaniKappel  Год назад +3

      Yes! To be safe. ACGME stands for Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Any doctor who has this under his or her credentials you can be assured they have performed thousands of of cases of EVERY type of laser, device and injectables available. Each treatment they perform has been guided, proctored and taught by an expert. Its not always necessary to have this level of training of course and most MDs don't have it but for those of us who have put in the years of extra time, you can assure you are in the safest hands possible. Check it out at www.acgme.org/ Knowledge is power my beauties. If you're following me you are already informed and protecting yourself and this will help protect and educate you further. Take it to the next level. Be smarter in the crazy unregulated world of aesthetics.

I couldn’t do injections or high strength deep peels I won’t go anywhere where they allow anyone not a nurse or doctor perform certain procedures. To me it’s a red flag if a facility offers high strength lasers, peels, injections and it’s not a medical professional performing them.

      What’s funny (not really) is I went to a very well known plastic surgeons office to get BBL done and they induced melasma on me. Then I was dumb enough to get a Halo laser and my face blew up like a puffer fish with blisters. I ended up on antibiotics and steroids for 2 weeks. I’ve personally had better experience at the med spa. It’s all about your provider! Just because there is MD behind the name means jack squat!

    I have appt with you in around 2 months. You are 2 hours away from me and your prices are more than spa places around me. I want to get good results and I know I will you. I work at Olive View and we have UCla residents come to our location for Dermatology. Here we treat more for skin cancer and other skin diseases. Good video.

      I heard the same. I was listening to Dr. Kappel while I was cleaning, but later rewound the video and turned on the subtitles, and it showed "Botox" and not "bl...jobs." So, it seems we misheard it 😀.

    Did you have a facelift? You look a lot younger than you did in your videos from three years ago. You had nasolabial folds back then, now they're gone. You had a bony, aged neck, now it's smooth and youthful. You also had lower eyebrows. What did you do?

    • @DrStefaniKappel
      @DrStefaniKappel  Год назад +3

      I have not had a facelift but I probably will when Im a little older. I was in my thirties in my earlier videos and I’m in my forties now. Aging backwards. I used to do a lot of fillers and Sculptra which I no longer do. I was underweight and tried to fill volume in my face with biostimulatory fillers. Sculptra made me way too full and almost gave me nasolabial folds. I’ll post a video on what I’ve done soon. I don’t do fillers anymore but I do many lasers and tightening devices on a regular basis which is key. I also had an upper blepharoplasty at age 41. Stay tuned for a video soon.

      @@DrStefaniKappel Thanks for the reply and the honesty. How did you address the volume loss in your neck? A few years ago it looked more bony and sinewy. Now it looks more plump, smooth, and youthful.

    Micro needling is banned in my country. It is illegal. Once a dermatologist who ruined my skin for hyperpigmentation did it, thank goodness he only did twice before I went to another for second opinion. I gave him the regulations he refunded me totally without me prompting anything. Be careful who you go to for dermatologist opinions and treatment

  • @meej6452

    RF micro needling is the most waste of money therapy you will spend money on. I did 3 micro needling, it didn’t compare to 1 laser treatment.

  • @Spicydoc1

    You should totally have workshops every so often? At home RF devices are touted by many to work. what is your feeling? I’m an unskilled operator for sure. We really cannot do damage with these home devices, correct?
    Also, I’m leaving proof that micro needling causing hyperpigmentation a few years ago. I’m Fitzgerald 5 space.

    Very generic, what purpose should lasers be used for?? Skin texture or color or collagen production or sagging skin? One youtube surgeon doctor says lasers reduce fat in the face over time and shouldnt be used regularly for collagen production!
