You have so many gadgets to use! I don't think I could keep up with all that, but if you cook a lot of steaks, I can see where that would be a great advantage to have!

Nice steaks, but man, I've bought at least 12 different temperature probes from all recognizable brands, including wireless probes, and all but one is dead or has a problem. Neither of the wireless probes lasted more than 3 months before they were dead. My Thermoworks Signals 4-probe unit is hanging in there after a year of weekly use but I did have to replace the battery and all 4 probes over time. Frankly, I'm burned out (PI) with thermal probes.

Chris, where can I find the wooden plate you are eating off of?

This is the one thing I'm lacking... a good thermometer! Currently, I'm more or less eyeballing it and then cutting into it. It gets the job done but has resulted in some very unsatisfactory results even when following directions closely.

Totally understand. Takes a lot of practice to develop instinct and feel for meat doneness. Even so I still have a hard time on occasion. Easier to do it this way for sure.

Those steaks look amazing! I showed Brian the Chef's Temp thermometer, which looks amazing, jsut a bit expensive right now for us.

Thank you! Yeah it’s a bit of an investment. The discount code they gave me is for 25% off so if you decide to pull the trigger at some point it’s a pretty nice deal. 😊👍🏼
