Watching this again in 2021 after a heartbreaking loss to Iowa in another game that we should have won. But my god, the excitement after Barkley ran back the opening kickoff, only to have OSU come back in the final quarter like that. Tough games .. tough losses .. but I respect the competition. Let's go B1G.

Let's just say on this Saturday night in Columbus, the high street sidewalks couldn't hold everyone. They put temp fences up and people were able to walk in the right lane in the road. One of the craziest days in Columbus, along with the 2016 2v3 Michigan game.

I remember this game. I was at a friend’s house for a Halloween party. I remember checking ESPN while we were all outside seeing OSU down in with 9:28 in the 3rd quarter. And then a while later his dad came outside and said “you’ll all wanna see this, even Alabama boy over there” we all came inside and witnessed the greatest comeback I’ve ever seen in college football.
Imagine the score if Ohio State didn’t make turnovers and didn’t make those mistake throughout the game the score would be 46-31 Ohio state

And we've had average QBs surrounded by "good teams" before without the same level of success. What more do you need to give him props? Any school would love to have a guy that did THAT for their program.

Gus Johnson seems like that he had some of the greatest sports calls of all-time especially involving my Ohio State Buckeyes in football & basketball because he called the greatest Buckeye comebacks from basketball in 2005 to defeat an great Illinois squad then in 2007 when they defeated Xavier in the NCAA tournament & then in football this past season 2017 vs Penn State featuring Saquan Barkley because that Buckeye defense contain in the second half of that game to complete the comeback for the ages wow!

Travis Sloan Even as an Ohio State fan, I have to give the refs the benefit of the doubt. "Ties" in the endzone are supposed to go to the receiver. I was more frustrated with the phantom pass interference calls on us and the missed Penn State pass interference calls.

the call should have been incomplete pass since Denzel Ward had enough contact to prevent possession in the air. still the review could have called it incomplete... not sure it's even legal to overturn an int to a TD. i've never seen it happen. but then again, if you can possess the ball with a helmet or behind a defender's back, i guess it's possible.
it was the earlier bad call that took int away from 7 was worse i thought. btw, in college, there's no challenge, refs review whenever necessary.
Yes if they would've called it a touchdown from the beginning and then reviewed it and still called it a touchdown I wouldn't have had a problem but when they called an int there was not enough evidence to overturn it

Coming back to this game is nightmarish as a PSU fan. This was the best our team has been in decades, up 3 scores against an incredibly talented OSU team, and we choked it away. Now we're at the bottom of the Big ten and OSU is consistently a top 5 team in the nation. I miss Saquon and Trace :(

I love my bucks, but I'm glad to see JT go. This was his one good game of the year. His arm is far too unreliable... If he wasn't injured against Michigan in 14, they would never have won the Championship. He would have ran the ball more and have lessened the damage Zeke did... he wouldn't have made phenomenal passes that Jones made and probably turn the ball over more than 4 times to Oregon even if they made it that far. Look at this year versus Wisconsin, he missed two wide open touchdown passes because of bad throws. If he made those throws, and didn't give Wisconsin defensive touchdowns, they would have played Clemson instead of Alabama. Don't get me wrong, he is a great player, but nowhere near Heisman quality, or even pro quality... unless the Browns pick him up
