  • I needed to stop very small fines returning to my pond. So I devised a home made Sieve tray filter to take them out. And this video shows how I made them.

Hi mate, great idea to catch all the small fines but I did similar with the old bakki shower I had on top tier it would block up within 3 days and make the bakki shower over flood just thought I point that out, as you have the bakki shower hiding you might not see this happen and could lose a lot of pond water👍🏻thank you and take care

Hi, I've been checking it every couple of days and it hasn't caused a problem up to now. That said the water is going through the Cetus sieve and through the Tempest's before it gets to the top of the shower trays. So most of the stuff has been taken out by then. Thanks for the warning though and I will keep an eye on it.👍Just subscribed to your channel. 👍

@@pomfretspond588 your welcome matey and thank you for the sub, I wasn’t criticising your work just wanted to let you know that I’ve done similar thing but didn’t really work how I would of liked it to but like you mentioned your going thru sieve and tempest, I was pumping straight to bakki before so was catching a lot of fines, all the best and stay safe 👍🏻

Simple and cost effective. Here's hoping it does the job you are hoping without blocking up and causing an overflow of the showers. Looking forward to an update in a few weeks to see how they're working out. Cheers.

I originally expected once a week but now it's been running the sieves are collecting more than I expected and I'm rinsing them every 3 days. Thanks for your interest. 👍

The my wife already had the nylon sieve material that I used. And I got the pipe work and fixing brackets from a local plumbers supply store called City Plumbing. Thanks for your interest.

Where did you get the material from

My wife is into craft's and she already had it spare. But most material shops should have something similar and they will sell it by the metre. Thanks for your interest.👍
