need a suggestion on how to get the old bushing out. i had my trans replaced 2 years ago. I usually do work but had to drop it off and my cable came off the tranny and the bushing was like warn. but i did notice that it had a nice new zip tie around it and right on the ground was a another zip tie. luckily there was a auctozone near me and i was able to get the busing but unable to get it in on the side of the road and road was busy. i bought zip ties and did that for temp to get me home. its holding nice. also notices when i got the car back my rear ebrake cable bracket was rubbinh on my leaf springs. i dont go off roading unsure how this all happened so quick. i got a hunch it was the shop i brought to.
The last thing I did is park in the driveway last night and this morning it’s not connected. What the heck could’ve happened after parking? I’m starting to not like my van anymore.
Be sure to scotch the tires and put into park before looking.....but look underneath to see if the shift cable is dangling? or if connected only slightly both indications that the bushing has dissolved.
Here is the link to Order Now www.bushingfix.com/order-now/. When opened choose manufacturer, then model when page opens choose year and be sure to note which end of cable the part fits. Example: At upper end of shift cable nearest the gear selection knob, or the lower end that connects to the transmission.
Our website provides much more detailed fitment. Yes, on an express van the fitment is specific to year, end of cable and ALSO transmission type/speed.
I needed this video. I’m headed to the auto store to get the part. Mechanic wanted $350 to fix
So glad you found us! We have been in business for 12 years and still not 100% know about us! So spread the good word please!
Genius idea! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
I don’t see the IM2 kit rather IM1 kit. Has the kit been updated to this one now, as your video is two years old?
Yes it is now the Im1kit.

Removing the old bushing is a pain because often it has almost melded on the opening. Patient and a grinding tool and gently work it out.
Great!!!¡!
our bushings are available on Ebay; www.bushingfix.com; Bonanza; Walmart.com; and Amazon Prime.

Should lubricant be used?
It should not require lubricant.
