Small manufacturing is always difficult - If you persevere and work through the problems and issues, the rewards will be great. This Video outlines where we are in the process of re-creating the Tube Hangers that are used on NuTone 8-Note - Long-Tube Door Chimes made between 1970 ~ 2005 (or so) - Chris

Have plastic hangers on my L42N D65H. Used paper clips and twist ties to replace broken hangars. Drilled broken remnant for paper clip and looped grocery twist tie around shank then reinstalled in tube. Has held up for 20+ years. My cover same as Lucy’s.

3d printer parts are usually so cheap to produce, a solution would be to sell them in packs of two (one of each type), and people will use whichever fits and throw the unneeded one in a junk drawer to confuse their future shelves of "what is this and why did I save it?"

Hi sgarth92: One of the things you learn after repairing a few thousand Chime is that uniformity is very important with how the Chime works and sounds - You never replace just 1 Spring or 1 Plunger Tip, you always do all of them, so the Chime sounds uniform when it rings - The other thing you learn after 40 years is that customers do not want to revisit the same problem or issue again and again - The best and only way to do things is "do it once and do it right" - Tube Hangers will be available in sets of 4 - just like Springs and Tips - Chris

I happen to have the “B” style tube hanger for an LD-49 long-tube door chime! 🤦‍♀️ Hope it doesn’t break!

Hi rw8pj3rh9s: Interesting - Does your LD49 have a Date Code stamped on the Chime Base? - Chris

@@northsideservicecompany3567 Hi. I’m in Canada & recently ordered springs from you. The stamp isn’t very clear. I’m having trouble attaching a pic, but I’ll send one to your email.

What about a spacer washer customers can use if they have the thinner model?

Hi jim: A shim washer is an interesting idea - I wonder if it would make it too complicated for many people - Chris

    Those hangers like to break...
At three o'clock in the morning. Especially if there's ceramic tile flooring underneath. 😠

You could just sell 8 in a package, 4 of each so the people who buy them will have whatever ones they need.
