I respect Seth a lot. He’s resilient, hardworking, talented, down to earth, and stays in his own lane. His success speaks volumes and he’s unbothered by haters.
It’s true even Trey Parker and Matt Stone can’t knock him down a peg and they are the Godfathers of that.
@@AttilatheThrilla They really wouldn't care less, since combined as three times as rich as the pastiche star-fuckery Seth
@@mauriciovillamar2951 Actually their individual net worths are not that much larger than Seths 🤷♂️
@@AttilatheThrilla Trey's alone is twice as large and that's after recent expenses, equaling $50 mil. In your terms, how many times are "not that much larger".
@@mauriciovillamar2951 who cares
I'm happy for Seth MacFarlane. After years of writing for a show that he clearly no longer cares about, he's finally getting to do something that he actually WANTS to do.
We shall see. Early reviews of this show are basically calling it a dog's breakfast. Have to say the trailers didn't 'grab' me.
He doesn't even write it, he's only credited with a few episodes. He did say in 2011 it should have ended years ago so I guess it's another paycheck to him.
Ricky Spanish lol, Roger? He created you too
Ricky Spanish im confused doesnt he still do the voices for brian and stewie
Tng was not bad tho
The Orville’s three seasons turned out to be a masterpiece! Love the show, love Seth.
The Orville is gold. I love it. Its serious when it needs to be and funny when its right. Star Trek can learn from it.
I think they listened. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is pretty well balanced in that regard, but yeah...the Orville reminds me of something like Buffy the Vampire Slayer in terms of how well it rides that line of self-aware cheese, outright comedy, serious drama and meaningful allegory. The context is different, obviously, but it hits the brain in several spots in a way that feels comparable.
How did we end up in a world where Seth Meyers is the best interviewer on US late night television?
I thought we'd be lost after Craig Ferguson retired, but Seth just picked up that ball and ran with it.
People are my entitled to their own opinions and mine is Conan is the best late night talk show host 😆 but he's leaving the format in June so yeah, Seth may the best after that in my opinion but then there's Colbert too hmmm
the show THE ORVILLE is fantastic. I highly recommend it. I'm watching each episode multiple times and is great each time.
FerFer1958
I agree, but The Expanse is WAY better.
Quinn Von Kerman bruh the expanse is a serious drama not like the orville
@@maxpower19711 they're almost different scifi genres however, I'm waiting for season 4. Amazon come on damnit!
I really like it’s great
IT IS AMAZING!!!! What are your top favorite moments? Also Bortus with a mustache, what are you opinions?
I love MacFarlane. Just exudes charm and talent
2 animated shows, 1 live action show and a goddamn jazz album, what a busy dude, ton of talent, a little too talented... This will end poorly
He exudes arrogance and disrepect.
Michael Holloway poor little buddy
There are the best guys. The love of my life is Kevin Thomey and was all in for Science
forbin1185 lol probably
Drinking game: take a shot every time Seth slaps his thigh
did you mean suicide ?
💀
Glad I'm not the only one thinking it lmao
I think you'd die from how all that alcohol XD
WHICH ONE??
What a great show The Orville turned out to be. It was much needed. Thanks Seth!
"FOX owes you nothing but money" HAHAHAHA
Grxtchzy it's true
guys... the album is actually pretty great. super impressed
you should listen to his "Music is better than words" album and "no one ever tells you"
Agreed
He is amazing!
This man is a character from a Terry Pratchett book. So perfect as to become an archetype, but in an approachable way that makes him the close friend you love watching succeed.
Seth is a legend. Extremely talented guy.
Which one
Seth Macfarlane is incredible. He's a genius who knows it and doesn't care what anyone else thinks. He's also such a normal nice guy.
People say that Orville is a cheap knok out of Star Trek but one has to watch the show to know its really a good and very entertaining sitcom with good science fiction and the clever wits of seth its really great
I love this guy! Makes his own star trek type universe and makes himself the captain! LOL LOVE IT!
The Orville is absolutely amazing!
my favorite new show. and the good place
It should go without saying that as a show which is basically "Star Trek: The Comedy", and with past associations, I would be disappointed if Sir Patrick Stewart didn't crop up in it somewhere.
bujin1977 he'll definitely be in it as Seth and Patrick have a good relationship and he's been on a number of his projects
butt cheeks crossed
bujin1977 hes in American dad so I assume he will.be
He's been on family guy lots. He voices Joe's baby.
221 b he is also Stan' s boss
Seth MacFarlane should have his own talk show he is that good
And Seth Meyers shoulda have his own sci-fi show he is that good
Everyone, watch the orville. It's a show that must stay on.
I’d love to meet Seth, such a clever and talented guy
Did anyone count the number of times Mcfarlane slapped his leg? Was it Morse code? .... I should add, I can't wait to see the series.
I was thinking to myself, "if I were the stage manager how can I signal to him he's slapping his leg on mike too much?" lol
jim ford it was so distracting
Once you notice it, the dialogue fades and the slaps become the focus.
Once you notice this it is all you can focus on
Maybe he's nervous?
He is the perfect line between charm and duche-baggery
It’s really amazing that the best and most creative person in TV and the best person hosting a late night show are both named Seth!
Is it weird that I think Seth would do a great talk show? He has good real conversations that deserve more time. Late night to me is more impersonal and quick paced.
Tia K.C Because it's all planned before the person even walks in to the live interview.
I watched the Orville premier and quite enjoyed it.
Seth communication levels and confidence are off the scale.
The Orville has turned out to be much more than I expected. I knew that Seth would bring the humor and that he was a huge fan of Star Trek (and other Sci-Fi) but I admit I wasn't sure how he was going to mix that into this series. The latest episode was "Krill" that had repeated silly jokes about car rental companies but a serious, poignant plot about confronting an alien species that doesn't recognize your right to exist. The final scene of this episode certainly echoed the ethical dilemmas faced on the many iterations of Star Trek but most closely Deep Space 9. The show keeps getting better each week as the actors flesh out their characters and we learn more about their universe. I hope that Fox renews The Orville as the series has a lot of potential. Kudos to Seth for making a "Star Trek" series that feels like TOS in many ways.
One of the best episodes, was the one about social media being part of the society's justice system. A bit too close to home ... and a great discussion.
The show the Orville is my favorite I look forward to it every week especially since I don't have cable
Love The Orville - hope it continues for many seasons...
I like his voice :)
Shakil so does he
It's like Brian talking...
This interview is a real "knee-slappeer"!
...had to.
HAHA 😂
Didn’t even notice till you brought it up lol
He’s he only guest on any talk show that actually drinks the water they give the guests lmao
p4ul 1023 good old Jack ‘water’
FYI it isn't water, it's whisky. Seth gets incredibly nervous and anxious in front of crowds so he likes to have a drink on stage to settle his nerves
I was very surprised how much i love watching The Orville. I did not expect to like this show. Now i cant wait for season 2.
Whatever Meyers does to the guests before the show, every late show needs to implement right now! Every guest seems so calm and happy
Can't wait to see it!
I quite enjoyed watching "The Orville". I managed to watch the entire series in three days!
3 days ! I did that too waiting for season two. Alara really gets awesome like that.
You get to see her eyebrows grow! Are you going to binge watch SEASON TWO now?
I hope it makes him feel good we’re coming to Orville for our Star Trek fix. Thanks for bringing the spirit back!
The Orville looks EPIC - I can't wait to be able to watch it
Love The Orville!!!
That man is pure genius.
No, he's not. He's just copied the idea for Stargate.
SharpOB I'm not just referring to his new show lol.
He IS.He can sing, draw, write and act very well AND he's very intelligent.
SharpOB the two aren't anything alike.
yecefer85 he is and you are pure sexy
I LOVE The Orville. It's great and I've seen every show!!!
He's amazing beyond words. He's the king of voiceovers and an amazing actor he's so wonderful. I'd watch him talk about paint drying.
I had no idea Seth recorded albums! Fantastic!
ROAD HOUSE👖
Dan Bee HOUSE
Ghost house
Toast house
Dan Bee RED HOUSE
House. ROADHOUSE. That too.
i really love orville its a relief
I've seen the Orville and its amazing. its going to be great as it moves forward.
He's a lot more normal in real life than I imagined
Watching this in 2019.
The Orville is one of the most amazing tv shows out there.
The comedy, drama, sci-fi blend of The Orville has never been attempted on TV before. It has a completely unique, Firefly-like feel.
I love how everyone and everything in Hollywood is always amazing
The Abyss. That was a fucking ball-tearingly great relationship between exes in Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and Ed Harris. Also, yay for Norm!
Jason Alexander (George Costanza - Seinfeld) is another one of these genius entertainment/talent chameleons. MacFarlane, however, takes those same talents and dials them all to 11. It's gotta be tough being around normals when your that ridiculously and obviously intelligent.
And now Jason Alexander looks like a chameleon (well... kinda, sorta) on The Orville!
I'm watching this in the future and it's a really fantastic show. Can't wait for season 3.
I’m so in love with Seth
Seth M meets Seth M
He’s so gorgeous 😍
I'm so glad Norm is back on TV, even if just a voice. He was such a perfect voice of Death on FG. He should do more voice work. His delivery is always perfect.
Love these two!! Super talented persons!!
The immensely talented and wonderful Seth McFarlane.
Its like your real character is Brian's character 😂😂
I'm 5 years late but If anyone hasn't seen the Orville or listened to this man fantastic voice musically, go do it right after this video!!! He's a remarkable talent.
2:48 Just throws out the casual Norm Macdonald impression and nails it.
This could be Seth's greatest work to date. Never liked Family guy, but Orville Is pure genius!
Orville is amazing!!! Everyone should watch it 😁
The Orville is awesome. Go Seth!
hot dang, I love swing and like Seth's singing, thank you random yt clip from Seth Meyers show
His true voice sounds like Brian
ill watch anything with seth in it
U and me both
O! This is new! I'm actually going to see his concert in december hahaha!
I love Seth but ain't you seen red dwarf? I mean I cried with love slapping my hands like a seal at the new episode! It's been on since I was three and is my life. Dr who is good, red dwarf is literally pure love!!!!
Hey Seth, RED DWARF called. Your idea has been done and done well. That said, I'm looking forward to Orville.
My Favorite Martian. The Jetsons.
Seth is starting to sound like Lucas promoting 'Red Tails'.
Yeah Red Dwarf does sci fi and comedy exceptionally well. When he described his new show he pretty much described Red Dwarf.
First, Red Dwarf is 80% comedy, 20% Scifi (give or take) what he describes is 50:50. Also, Red Dwarf is 30 minutes, Orville is 60. So, yes - it is similar (and my first thought was the same as yours), but not the same.
Make a sitcom 60 minutes and you eventually get a dramedy...know what I Mean?!?
The irony of MacFarlane doing Norm's voice here, is that he could really do it on the show, too.
I am LOVING The Orville SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!
haahaha i just visualize brian the dog talking in my head, when seth is talking in human form. its too funny tbh.
if he tryed talking to me irl i dont think i could stop lauging
This Orville show sounds a lot like Yahoo!'s tv show Other Space. Hope it can approach that level of fun and humor. I miss Other Space.
I love Seth.
These two 💙
If Norms in it, I wanna watch.
The show is really good. The Orville that is.
Good Luck ! Can't wait :))
love the show!
The Orville is the best Star Trek on TV.
Fun fact: Seth MacFarlane is nearly always holding a drink in interviews.
Because he's an anxious person and it helps him relax in front of large crowds
A true artist. I love it
Seth to the power of two many seths
lol he sounds like Brian
he is brian
elvesrus someone didn't get the joke.
George Cashin what if elvesrus got the joke and made a sarcastic comment?
Then he's terrible at sarcasm...
Manuel Montero maybe thats the highest form of sarcasm
Imagine if Norm McDonald, Bobcat Goldthwait and Gilbert Godfried made a show together. Probably be the funniest thing ever.
Gabriel Traveler Those are three of the least funniest people ever.
Dude Norm McDonald is absolutely hilarious. Look up "Norm McDonald on The View 2000", there's a youtube vid of it, he's got the best humor. Just legendary tbh
Seth McFarlane could literally voice the entire thing
The First, I'm referring to the fact they all talk hella weird. The combination would be priceless.
And Mr. Conway Twitty as guest singer
One of the best shows right now
The Orville is amazing!
What doesn't this guy do?!?!
funkycrackhead367 Age, he doesn't age!
Being a republican.
funkycrackhead367 me.. Lol
He doesn't get married to me lol 😂😂 jk
It's like he's some kinda polymath.
I dont care what anybody says, seth Meyers is a good interviewer
I love you Seth
Love that show!
So I keep thinking that Brian is speaking and go straight to ugh Brian is so pretentious lol smh
Most people hate smart people.
People are offended by facts.
The character of Brian is a caricature of Seth McFarlane, understandable you'd get them confused
Shaunna S. Brian is supposed to be pretentious. It's making fun of himself.
I saw the first full-length trailer yesterday and saw the Seth MacFarlane 'stamp' on it, which is a lot easier to spot when its creator is its star (although, to be fair I didn't know it was his production till he did the 'loosened it for you' played gag, sorry Seth, you give us originality & I'll applaud it). The 'loosened it' line, sadly, was the only thing that stuck with me overnight, so...I dunno. I'm sure it'll find an audience.
As far as originality in subverting sci fi goes, I'm no Gen Y aficionado or Millennial cosplay blah. I can only think of two off the top of my literally feverish head, Galaxy Quest, which worked pretty well & made $ and Hitchhiker's Guide, which I _love_ although I know the love for that movie is not widespread, mostly because of Poms/Limeys/Brits who hate that Mos Def is Ford. I don't much care, I thought he did well enough and all of it was WAY better than the TV version. Stopping now bye
Nx Doyle Well, Ford Prefect was an alien who was off enough to believe that was a proper name...
3:38 Joel Mcneely composed the Star Wars Shadows Of The Empire CD. I love that album.
Handsome and talented beyond words. Is he single?! Seth is amazing.
Norm Macdonald is great
