Well, I tried all 3 resistors you mentioned in the description on my Nokia E90 and none of them worked - it's still just showing the Nokia logo with a bright white background and not getting past that. It won't even power off without taking the battery out.

A few years ago, I tried to put an Energizer battery on a Nokia 6100 and it went on Test mode. The battery I used was from an Energizer Energy E10 phone that I have.

@@Retrophonesstuff Ok. I don't have a resistor, so how I'm gonna boot my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic in Test mode? Because I need to find the lock code and I don't know how... It's not locked with lock code. I'm trying to reset to the factory settings

No. Back in the day, services had batteries with the resistor in them fosr this, they didn't have to do it like this.

Hi there, i tried this on a functioning N95-1 I have from years ago.
I followed your instructions exactly with a 5.6k resistor but the screen just flashes once and goes off again.
Is there anything further I can do, would a different resistor make a difference?
I would like to get into the phone to retain the old photos on it.
Change the resistor pins between them. The one that was on the - pin on the battery with the one that was on the unmarked pin. Also keep pressing the power button until you see local or test mode on the screen. Look closely at the screen because the backlight won't turn on in local mode and you might not see it.

Some people said that it worked but they did not say what resistor they used. I posted a picture some time ago in the community tab with what resistor I use if it helps you.

@@Retrophonesstuff eu de obicei iau de pe airsoft cluj dar ori nu au ce vreau eu in stoc ori se plange lumea ca nu sunt bune ori sunt foarte scumpe si cam asa sunt majoritatea siteurilor de asta am intrebat poate este unul mai ok
@@shooter3903 Si eu am luat de la airsoft cluj, actualul oqtagon, airsoft.ro, arisoft6, squadstore. Daca la comentarii se vorbeste ca sunt produse cu probleme, evitati acele produse.

Salut,am făcut și eu treaba asta,a mers ,doar ca acum se aprinde numai cu rezistorul pus,dacă scot rezistorul de pe baterie nu se mai aprinde

Este un caz mai rar. Dar dacă pornesti telefonul cu bateria cu rezistor dupa care scoți rezistorul, funcționează? Și dacă da, bagă-l la încărcat. Este și posibil să se fi lărgit conectorii din baterie

Sure. When I get home I will reupload it. I also got myself a N95 standard. I will test the firmware on mine first to make sure its safe.

Sorry for the late response. Unfortunetly this method does not work with that model. You need service equipment for that. Sorry.

You have a lot of batteries in that box I bet most of them don't work.
I had a lot more batteries than this. The ones in the box are good, the problem is that I don't know wich ones are charged.
@@Retrophonesstuff Well I have a BL-5C and a BL-5CT and neither work with their phones as they haven't been charged for a long time so I have ordered replacements.
